After my previous visit, I wrote a two-star review (mostly) because I felt the servers whistling throughout the dining room were inconsiderate of the guests, like myself, who were trying to enjoy a meal and conversation with the company at their table. If the patrons at a nearby table were whistling like that, it would be viewed as rude and inconsiderate. If my children were whistling in a restaurant like that I would make them stop so as not to disturb the people around us. I am happy the servers enjoy their job as evidenced by their whistling while they work, however, it is generally socially unacceptable to cause intentional noise disruptions in a public space like that and it clearly annoyed me. Having said all that, there have been new developments since my previous review. The owners of the restaurant posted my review on their Facebook page inviting local commentary. (I really hope they create a menu item called "the whistle-rito" as proposed by one commenter.) They have also created a t-shirt that proudly advertises themselves as the whistling Mexican restaurant (See photo). If I had known that the workers would be whistling throughout the dining room prior to my visit, I would have expected it and not been put off by it. (By the way, I have eaten here before and never noticed this.) I'm changing my review to 4 stars because the food is good and being open and up front about the servers whistling while they work thus making it their unique signature behavior is absolute genius.
