The highlight of the meal was the sweet tea and cheese dip. The salsa that comes free with chips was so spicy yet it was supposed to be mild. I ordered the Choripollo and the chicken was completely burnt and off putting. The Nachos fajitas were fine according to my guest. The flautas were also fine. We ended up paying over $80.00 for a meal that was at best average. We won't return to this location. read more

I was craving a to-go lunch and didn't know there was a Mi Pueblo located in Kannapolis! I did a takeout order via GrubHub and upon picking it up, I fell in love with the ambiance! The outdoor seating area was absolutely beautiful! The interior was very clean and inviting. I also loved the grassy wall inside by the bar where guests can take pictures at. I've only done this at the University City location, which I've ventured to at least 5-6 times. My food was ready for me upon my arrival and it was in abundance! I feel like I definitely got my money so worth with the amount of food that was given to me (I sometimes dread if I'll get a regular serving because I'm taking out). We checked this spot out for my boyfriend's birthday and had a fun time. Their service is impeccable, between our attentive server and the additional staff they have floating around, they really were on top of things. There was a cold draft that kept coming in from the doors opening and closing. We weren't close to the door either so that was a little uncomfy but it didn't ruin our time. Just made it a little chilly. I ordered the margarita flight and really enjoyed being able to try all these different options. I ended up getting a larger mango marg because it was so good! Not much alcohol in them though lol. Still yummy. For food I had a salad and fish tacos, the food was just okay. But I also ordered the least authentic food so I can't be mad lol. As a bariatric patient I saw this restaurant now offers a low carb menu. I was so excited because ACP is my favorite but I've been sad because rice. Rice is not low carb. Mi Pueblo said watch this! This whole menu I posted is low carb. They serve cauliflower rice! My hubby got low carb fajitas. They have cheese tortillas! When I say this was yummy it was YUMMY! We went for lunch on a Monday. They don't have a lunch menu which is a downside. They do have 1/2 off burritos on Mondays with a drink purchase which is a pretty good deal. I got the California burrito with black beans instead of refried beans. It came out pretty quickly. It was hot and really flavorful. I do like how they do grilled chicken chunks vs shredded chicken. Definitely would get again. Might skip for lunch just because there is no lunch menu. They did correct the mistake on our other entree order pretty quickly but it took a while for the waitress to come over so we could let her know. read more

I am big fan of Mi Pueblo. But unfortunately I'm never that impressed with this particular location. We arrived on a Monday night for dinner and were promptly seated. I ordered a vegetarian ACP. Even though it's not technically on the menu, I always order it at another location without issue. However, our served seemed really confused by the request. She did place the order though. The food arrived as requested. However, my husband was extremely disappointed with the chicken in his tequila chicken dish. He said there was no way that the chicken had been marinated overnight. It was flavorless and overcooked. The manager came over and agreed. She spoke to someone in the kitchen who basically confirmed that it had not been prepared as described. She did bring him a new chicken breast, which was better. Overall, not a horrible experience. But it somehow just always seems to miss the mark a bit. read more

If you love quick service Mexican food this is the place! There are lots of servers ready for the crowds. We went for a Sunday Brunch with the family. The adult portion sizes are huge! You could totally share if you wanted, but who wants to do that!?! I had the Guaca Chicken dish, it came with refried beans and rice, the hubby got shrimp tacos. Both were delicious! Others at the table got the bowls that are a wonderful mix of all things lovely without all the carbs and the kids got cheese burgers and fries. The only reason why this is not a 5 is because we ordered guac and cheese for the table and we received our entrees and still did not have it, then had to ask for it. Other than that, everything was pleasant. The restaurant has plenty of seating, so even if they are busy, I am confident they can turn tables fast. The lighting was great, the seats were comfortable. This is a convenient spot when you want a sit down lunch while spending the day shopping. This is a nice Mexican restaurant located in a shopping center, surrounded by many chain fast food restaurants. They have great prices and a huge menu. Each table gets chips and salsa, which are refilled constantly. The service was great and the servers were very helpful. I ordered the steak California burrito, which was presented very nicely. Other than presentation, the burrito was not very good. The steak was very tough and chewy and lacked flavor. I tried some of the chicken burrito as well and it also lacked flavor. The best part of the California burrito was the queso on top. I ended up just dipping my chips in the queso and leaving most of the burrito. Overall I gave this restaurant 2 stars because the service was good and the location was convenient. But the meats were overcooked and bland. read more

Really disappointing. I ordered from here on Uber Eats and got Vegetarian Combo F. I also built my own combo to try some other items. The vegetarian combo was fine. It has a mushroom and a spinach quesadilla with rice and beans. The quesadillas were decent, albeit somewhat bland. The beans were quite cold and the rice didn't have much flavor. I kept dumping the salsa on the rice to liven it up. In the combo I built, I ordered a stuffed poblano and a chile relleno. The poblano was pretty good. It tasted like they filled it with the kind of queso you typically dip chips in rather than a melty cheese. The chile relleno was unlike any "chile relleno" I've ever seen. It looked super gross and definitely wasn't a stuffed chile. Upon further research, their menu states that the chile relleno is (and this is verbatim) a "ground beef meatball stuffed with a slice of geen pepper and covered with American cheese." Look at the photo I took. I couldn't even bring myself to eat it. I hate to give a bad review to a local restaurant during the pandemic, I probably won't order from here again. read more

Food is consistently good here. The refried beans are probably the best in this area. The food tastes a little "American Style" so if you are looking for really authentic Mexican food this may not be your favorite. It is a really good place for large parties. We have had several company lunches here and a Christmas dinner for over 20 people. Good service and everyone liked their plates and drinks.
