I secured a founding membership here when they first opened. There has been many changes in staff…read moreand instructors. Staff is always friendly in studio. I have a couple of instructors that I trust will give me a solid workout. But many are still learning and it can be distracting to have someone that is still working on the fundamentals of the class like remembering and being confident in flow sequence, motivating tone without yelling, and music choice. They don't clean the studio in between sweaty classes. Also the locker rooms are often left in poor condition for the prices they charge. It's more like a cheap gym rather than a boutique fitness studio. But I continue because these are the hottest yoga classes in terms of temperature. And the good instructors are gems. They often change the schedule without updating the instructor to catfish people to take amateur instructors. I wish they would be more transparent with scheduling. They don't cap the amount of people in a class so busy classes can be super tight. And more than 5 times have charged me for no shows when I have attended the classes. It's a super bummer when I've been such a regular client to be charged a no show for a class I attended and have to ask for my money back. I'm writing this because I want and believe they can do better as a company. Downtown SF needs this kind of business to thrive.

He's also a dog lover and took great care of my dog while I worked out. Even gave him some treats which was super sweet of him!! I was initially worried I might not have access to the same equipment I had at other locations due to the smaller space but that wasn't an issue at all!! They also have a bunch of stuff to aid in recovery that I didn't know about. Ryan recommended the inflatable compression sleeves for my legs. I had never tried them before and he walked me through putting them on. Highly recommend this gym and am grateful for Ryan!

It honestly feels like you're in a submarine. The men's locker room is tiny, and like most gyms,…read morethey've oversold memberships and it shows everywhere. The pool is pure chaos. About a year ago, they had a policy of onsite lane reservations, which is the right thing to do if you don't have online lane reservations. You had a clear start and end time, could plan your workout, and actually get a full swim in. For some reason, they've stopped doing that. Now you show up with no idea if you'll even get a lane, let alone finish in time to get to work. They're also allowing three or more people per lane, which is just unrealistic. Once a third person joins, it stops being a workout and turns into traffic management. You can forget about flip turns entirely. The lane speed designations don't help either. Most people are on tight schedules and aren't going to wait around for the "right" lane to open up. They also block off a lane for personal training, which is understandable, but that lane could still accommodate another swimmer. Decisions like this chip away at what's supposed to be a core service. Most pools in the city allow reservations. You can reserve a lane. Some even have a no show fee which totally works. you can't trust humans to so the right thing here because they in most cases won't. Bottom line, the lack of reservations and overcrowding make it impossible to plan a consistent, efficient swim. It turns something that should be straightforward into a daily gamble.

Kwanua, Jenn, Tiffany, Fabi and Joseph provided such amazing support and community. The classes pushed me hard in the best kind of way, and I felt stronger and happier after every visit. Lot of regulars who workout here, so everyone very efficient. Staff is all very friendly and nice as well! In particular, 2 people working the front desk have always been very helpful and supportive! Alec and Ryan! They always greet me with a warm welcome and provide some motivation, awesome to see day in and day out and love seeing those guys. Would be awesome to get some new weight machines, not much has changed in the last few years. The cardio machines are nice but mainly that area stays less crowded, perhaps removing a row of treadmills or bikes for squat racks would do well for the location. Only real feedback that took a point off for me: please get new hair dryers!! Fillmore location has dry bar and Dyson hair dryers, but the mid market location hair dryers feel like kids toys! lol, not a big deal, but if you gym before work and shower etc, it's such a pain to dry your hair.

I reached out to diakadi because multiple people told me it was the best personal training gym, and I'm so glad I did. From the outset Billy was so kind and helpful, introducing me to my trainer Jaime. It's been 4 months since I started working out with Jaime and the results are clear -- I can wrangle my boys, carry heavy things, and have more endurance in all the tasks of being a mom. I feel stronger. Diakadi's trainers go through a rigorous interview process and looking around every time I go people are working out in a way that supports long term health and fitness, vs the way group fitness pushes you but often at the expense of injury. With all the literature on the importance of muscle mass for long term health, this is hands down the best investment in myself I've made in the past few years.

You pay to work with a trainer and also pay an additional gym fee on top of that.

Jonathan (the manager) recommended him since I was looking for real results, and quickly. I'm extremely busy, so any time I spend at the gym has to count. I bought a 24-session package and trained with Greg twice a week for three months. Today I finished my last session. The results speak for themselves: I lost all 10 lbs I'd been stuck with, gained 1 lb of muscle, and lost 12.4 lbs of body fat--about a pound of fat per week. My body fat dropped from 26.1% to 19.3%. Greg is incredibly knowledgeable, disciplined, and has the perfect formula for motivating you. He pushes you just enough so you work harder each time and walk away feeling proud of what you accomplished. He's honestly the BEST coach you could ask for. By the end of our training, he made sure I had solid technique and two routines I can follow on my own. I've never been a "gym person," but now I feel confident and excited to keep working out regularly. I've also worked with Olivia for massages, and she is absolutely wonderful. She really listens, works out all my knots, and her warm personality makes every session a joy. Her work perfectly complements the workouts. Kenton and Jonathan have also been awesome--they truly go above and beyond to understand your needs and make thoughtful recommendations. This is an incredibly friendly, supportive gym. I can't recommend it enough!

Most recent experience: The last time I was at this CorePower was such a frustrating experience! There was a group of us waiting outside the studio for class, but no one ever showed up to open the studio nor teach the class, and no one was answering their phones (we also tried to reach out to their support center). On top of that, the weather was wet and awful (obv don't blame the studio for that, but waiting outside for so long with no contact from anyone at CP wasn't great). When they finally responded to my support messages, they reimbursed my booked class and gave me an extra class that expires in one month, but it was still very unprofessional that this happened at all. Classes: After pandemic, the studio is less busy which is admitted kinda nice sometimes as there isn't a struggle to find space in class even during "rush" times; however, this also means that a lot of their classes have been getting cancelled. It's unclear why, though I suspect a combo of lack of signups and the inability to find a substitute if the scheduled teacher is unavailable at short notice. Teacher Training: They're always pushing their teacher training programs and it seems like teachers graduate often. When taking class at the same time a training is going on, the student teachers often socialized in the lobby during their break, making it more challenging to get through to the class.
