I normally don't check the bottom of my feet after being pumiced because it is always smooth. TODAY WAS NOT THE CASE. To my dismay, when I got home, I noticed that the tech did not pumice my foot well enough. I can dig a hole and crawl in it for the price I paid, plus her generous tip. THIS IS A SHAME ON YOU AND ME. My spent sense lesson is to evaluate everything before leaving the establishment. I do not need the scrap (which is illegal anyway). Just spent $35 for the worst pedicure. The toe spreaders were slipping and when I went to get up at the end, I tried to fix them...and sadly messed up the polish on one toe. She fixed it...but the polish won't dry now. The polish is sliding all over...I can slide it off and put it back in place...so weird. I've been looking for great nail shops in my area with no luck so I branched out further to Towson and found Future. They were easy to find and have parking. I was greeted right away. Business was slow but there weren't many techs available so it took them a while to get to me. In between one of their appointments, a tech was able to wrap my nails to remove my old gel before his next client. After waiting, a tech became available and waxed my eyebrows and did my nails. I got gel polish again. I love that they have a huge variety of colors. She did a great job on both the nails and brows. I would definitely come back. Meticulous is an understatement and the quality is apparent! I do acrylic nails with gel polish and gel pedicures. I really loved future for so long I have been coming to them since before the pandemic. I absolutely love Kelly 100% she is the best and most creative when it comes to designs. However my last couple encounters with other employees there have been less than pleasant. Since I've moved to MD a few weeks ago I've been on the prowl for a new nail salon. I saw Future Nails was a hit on Yelp, so I decided to check it out and I was not disappointed! For $30 I got a gel manicure. I was curious about the SNS dip powder but for $40, I will try it next time. Timmy was my tech, he was very attentive and gave me a flattering shape and did my nails beautifully. It was great talking to him too! This was my first time at Future Nails and I was really impressed! The salon is clean and beautiful. I was in a chair within 5 minutes of arriving. Kenny did my nails and it was the best manicure I've had in years. I had acrylic nails but mentioned to him that I didn't really like how they damaged my nails but that nail polish, even gel polish, doesn't stay on my nails. He introduced me to the dip manicure and I love it! My nails turned out beautiful and the price was more than reasonable. I paid $45 and that included removing the acrylics, a full manicure, and the dip manicure. I will DEFINITELY be returning!! Keep in mind that you can't give a tip if you pay with credit card. I've been going to Future Nails for slightly over 2 years now and i just realized that I'm yet to leave a review. I feel like a woman's nail tech is equivalent to a man's barber, I don't just let anyone do my nails lol. So when i relocated to the Baltimore area i started my hunt for my new nail salon because driving over 40 miles every two weeks to get my nails done was no longer feasible. After trying many places , i finally came to Future Nails on my last attempt. In the many times i have been here, I'm yet to be disappointed. They've been times when i visited and I've not been happy with the work done but every single time they have rectified the problem. The issues I've had mostly stem from the fact that I'm a perfectionist and not the fact that they did a shitty job. Everyone that works here is super friendly and helpful. The salon is always clean and the wait to be seen is pretty short. I always walk in and I'm usually seen in under 5 minutes, there's only been 1 time i had to wait for 35 ish minutes but that was because it was prom season. This is my first yelp review ever, I am normally not one to complain but I just had a very bad experience at Future Nails. I've been going here for two years, once a month. I live 30 minutes away but always make the trip back up to Towson because for the most part, Future Nails is better than the other salons in my area. Last month, one of the technicians recommended that I try the SNS dip powder instead of my normal gel manicure. It was $10 more, and I said I'd try it next time. That was today, and it was the worst manicure I've ever gotten. The man left my fingers covered in the dip powder color to the point where it looked like I had done them myself...each nail was lumpy and uneven. I paid $40 + tip for a manicure that looks like a 7 year old did it. I was literally shocked that he allowed me to leave with my hands looking like the way they did. It was easy to get an appointment. Very pricey though. Or maybe that is my comparison to Southern California, I usually pay $52 with a $10 tip for acrylic/gel, and pedicure, and my nails are perfect. When asked why, one for a nail replacement, ok i can handle that then $5 to shape my nails, first off I thought that comes with the $33 Service and they were shaped coffin when i walked in, i walked out with a rectangular look. Expect a subpar experience. This was my first acrylic set in awhile, and my first time at Future. Decent prices, but you get what you pay for I suppose. I called about 30 minutes in advance and they said it was a good time to come. I came immediately but still had to wait about 20 minutes. The waiting area is small but okay, no magazines or friendly receptionist. Definitely pushy will the gel too. I sit down after my wait and come across quite the unfriendly nail technician. He made it quite clear he was uninterested in talking to me and just wanted to get everything done. For $30 you get a basic set with polish; no cuticle cutting, no hand massage or lotion, just the basics. He never asked me what shape I wanted and just assumed I wanted square, so by the time I noticed that they were square (toward the end when he was about to put polish on) I asked if he would round the edges, because I wanted almond but knew that I should've asked earlier so settled for that. One of my nails is crooked and some are not the same length or width. Two stones came off of each hand after about a week, which is fine and not that noticeable. But theres definitely flaws in the polish like some clumping here and there. The last thing that had me frustrated was that they asked me to pay before they painted my nails. I noticed they didn't do this with the other customers and felt a little degraded, but obviously obliged because what else was I going to do. Its the little things that make or break trying a new place, so I'd say its not likely that I'm returning. read more

NEVER AGAIN!! So I came in a few weeks ago to get just a gel manicure. I was told by the person who recommended it that I should make an appointment. So I did. I had 2 friends with me and we all made appointments together. They took one of my friends, then me and left my other friend waiting. The guy who was doing my nails then finished with me and moved on to my friend. She waiting a half an hour!!! My other friend and I were done long before she was so we all just sat and waited. THEN I decided to come back because it's close and inexpensive. My appointment was at 3 and I sat waiting for over an hour! I don't understand why I'm waiting if I had an appointment?? Like, isn't that kind of the whole point of booking ahead of time. I will never come back to this place again. All they care about is making a quick buck. Not taking care of their customers.
