Our sweet pup, Bear, is now 11 years old and although he is not really a "dog's dog", he loves people. It warms my heart every time I check-in on the live webcam when he goes to his corner to be by himself, the staff will go out of their way to make sure to connect with him and give him some love- that means so much to me, and more importantly, him. This is consistent no matter which Camp Bow Wow we have had Bear boarded at, and it proves to me that the owners/managers hire people that love animals and genuinely enjoy what they do. Recently, my family moved to Ridgefield, WA and I cannot exaggerate how THRILLED I was when I realized that there was a Camp Bow Wow right around the corner from my house. When scheduling my dog for a daycare appointment, the owner Dan made sure to get our records transferred from our previous Camp Bow Wow in Reno, NV quickly. This made it less stressful for me, as I wanted to ensure that Bear was on the books while I was having some noisy renovation work being done at my home. I was pleased with the drop-off experience, the front staff greeted Bear warmly (he was the newbie that day); very professional and made me happy to leave him with such a great crew for the day. When I picked Bear up I happened to run into Dan in the parking lot and had to thank him again, Bear had a good time but was eager to come home, as always. We are looking forward to booking more daycare and overnight boarding with the Ridgefield, WA Camp Bow Wow location!

She was loud enough to hear everything, which is scary! 25 dogs for a single person to manage already made me uneasy, so I hung up without trying to schedule a drop off. Talked about it with friend who has boarded their dog here before. Ever since he got a promotion at work and started leaving their dog here, he has become overly aggressive, skittish around both other dogs and people, and has started to refuse to eat the food he has been eating for years. He told me that several times his dog came home with BITE MARKS on him! Bite marks! DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS WITH YOUR DOG!!!! This place is not well run or appropriately managed at all. They don't staff enough people to make sure the dogs are safe and not stressed while out in the yard, they do not treat their employees like people and overload them, and according to my friend, they do not keep their records straight enough to give your dog the correct food that you dropped off for them. The manager doesn't seem to know how fo handle staffing or taking care of their charges at all; only reason this business gets 2 stars is because the staff seem to genuinely care and do their best with what they can reasonably handle.

The dogs each get their own kennel but have multiple play sessions together every day. The staff is attentive to their feeding instructions and I leave plenty of treats and toys with them to keep the dogs entertained. I especially appreciate that play time isn't a doggy daycare style with unfamiliar dogs. Only my two share the yard together. They come home tired and happy. I have also noticed that when they arrive at the kennel for their return stays they happily trot off with the staff after I say goodbye. Always a good sign.

I found this place earlier on in the year when they appeared on the best of clark county for dog boarding. We scheduled a tour a few days later. It was clean & is a smaller boarding facility which we liked as they'd probably have an easier time keeping track of all the dogs. Although on the higher end for dog boarding pricing, we decided to book with them. Fast forward to months later when it was time to drop off our dog. It was a smooth process & they double checked the dates & feeding schedule & we were off. We were told that she'd get to play with a few of the dogs & we told them she's really friendly & would love that. That was a nice surprise as I didn't realize they did that there. Our first day back home, they called to ask us if we wanted to add on the 1on1 play time service, so that our puppy could get out some of her energy. I agreed as she'd be there for a while. Pick up was smooth as well. We had missed the early morning pick up window, so we went during the late afternoon one. When she came out, she looked like she had a great time! She even got a visit from santa. It was adorable, she had a stocking with here name on it. It made us so happy as this was her first Christmas. Everyone we spoke with there were really nice & always open to answer questions. We were even told we could call & check up on her, which we didn't do. Although priced on the higher end & I did see they raised their prices again this year, I liked how they don't charge an extra day if not picked up by a certain time. I called to make sure as I know most places do that. They only charge by the day, so As long as they are picked up & dropped off during the windows listed on their site, you're good. We will be using them for shorter stays in the future.

Yesterday we took him to a tap house we frequent and in the past Mack would hide behind us and not let any strangers touch him. Yesterday he let everyone say hi and even approached men to get pets on his own. Today on our walk he walked with confidence and was not fearful and we both strolled with confidence and ease. Yesterday I already suggested Enzo's to two people who were very impressed with Mack as other dogs were barking and he just hung out unbothered. This pandemic and the immediate changes to everyday life have been quite impactful for many of us. And for a business which relies on people dropping off their fur kids on the way to work, one can only imagine the repercussions! Brian has kept the daycare open throughout the pandemic, as a resource for essential workers, as well as those of us who rely on some socializing and exercise for our pups during the week. The staff has been wearing masks, requiring masks, meeting dogs at the door to limit contact. And keeping the facility sanitary and safe. All while coping with the flux in staffing and scheduling. The facility remains clean, safe, and in fact has been upgraded in several areas to help keep the play area cool, "fresh" and comfortable for both dogs and staff. I encourage pet parents who have been clients to please keep supporting Brian and his team. I'm posting this now after reflecting on my dog's daycare history over the years, as this was the…read moreonly facility where we had a negative experience. Several years ago, I brought my dog here for daycare. During one drop-off, as I was about to drive off, he was able to bolt out of the facility and ran across the parking lot (in the dark!). Thankfully, a passerby caught him quickly and he was not injured, but this raised serious concerns about supervision and containment during handoff. After that incident, I continued bringing him back to use up pre-paid passes. From that point on, he always refused to leave the car-which made me concerned. Staff later told me he had developed a humping habit and said that if it continued, he would not be able to return. This was difficult to reconcile with what we experienced elsewhere. After we finished our passes, we used another daycare in Beaverton, where he had no issues. Since then, we've moved states a few times and gone to multiple other daycares in different locations, and he has consistently done well without any behavioral concerns. I understand that staff and policies can change over time, so this may not reflect the current operation. However, I think it's important to share past experiences related to safety and how dogs are handled following a stressful incident.
