Amazing! My dog is not the bravest or friendliest but Jeff had me come in a few times before our Thanksgiving stay to meet with my boy (a Shiba Inu) so that we could all be comfortable. Jeff took such good care of him and even sent us update pics! Moving from Los Angeles to WA was hard enough, but finding a boarding facility that really cares about your animal is even harder. Would absolutely recommend!

I found this place earlier on in the year when they appeared on the best of clark county for dog boarding. We scheduled a tour a few days later. It was clean & is a smaller boarding facility which we liked as they'd probably have an easier time keeping track of all the dogs. Although on the higher end for dog boarding pricing, we decided to book with them. Fast forward to months later when it was time to drop off our dog. It was a smooth process & they double checked the dates & feeding schedule & we were off. We were told that she'd get to play with a few of the dogs & we told them she's really friendly & would love that. That was a nice surprise as I didn't realize they did that there. Our first day back home, they called to ask us if we wanted to add on the 1on1 play time service, so that our puppy could get out some of her energy. I agreed as she'd be there for a while. Pick up was smooth as well. We had missed the early morning pick up window, so we went during the late afternoon one. When she came out, she looked like she had a great time! She even got a visit from santa. It was adorable, she had a stocking with here name on it. It made us so happy as this was her first Christmas. Everyone we spoke with there were really nice & always open to answer questions. We were even told we could call & check up on her, which we didn't do. Although priced on the higher end & I did see they raised their prices again this year, I liked how they don't charge an extra day if not picked up by a certain time. I called to make sure as I know most places do that. They only charge by the day, so As long as they are picked up & dropped off during the windows listed on their site, you're good. We will be using them for shorter stays in the future.

I have high standards for care and have been very happy with the care and services we've received as client/patients. My girl is uncooperative at best for nail trims and our regular technician and doctor have her system down pat and she loves coming in to see her friends, she never hesitates when we come in which is amazing for her. It can be a little frustrating at times when appointments aren't available, but that is what urgent care facilities are for and I'm glad Mtn View Vet is booked and busy.

We have been taking our dog to Mountain View for some time, and until recently we trusted that he…read morewas in good hands. That trust has been badly shaken by how his recent, very serious health situation was handled. Our pup has had mild regurgitation issues since he came to live with us, but last Thursday night his symptoms suddenly became much worse. We took him to the ER, where they prescribed sucralfate and recommended an ultrasound. The next morning, we called Mountain View for guidance, and they suggested we take him to DoveLewis in Portland. DoveLewis performed x-rays and an ultrasound and diagnosed him with megaesophagus, which is a life-threatening condition. They prescribed Metoclopramide and told us to get him in with an internal medicine specialist as soon as possible. The soonest appointment we could get with their internal medicine specialist was December 2, and DoveLewis only provided one week of medication. First thing Friday morning, we called Mountain View to ask for a prescription refill to bridge the gap until his specialist appointment. We were initially told this would not be a problem, but that the vet was in a procedure and they would call us back. We waited all day, only to be told at the end of the day that they had called around to various compounding pharmacies, couldn't find the medication, and that we should take him back to the DoveLewis ER for a refill. On our own, we called compounding pharmacies and quickly found the medication in stock locally, as well as available through Chewy. When we called Mountain View back on Monday morning and asked them simply to approve the Chewy request, we were then told they could not write a prescription without seeing him first. To be clear: Mountain View knew he had just been diagnosed with a life-threatening condition by a specialty ER. They knew he had already been examined, had x-rays and an ultrasound, and had been prescribed the medication by DoveLewis. They knew we were trying to avoid a lapse in medication before he could see an internal medicine specialist. Despite all of this, they chose not to help us secure a necessary medication, and we were left feeling that our dog's safety was not a priority to them. Megaesophagus is not a minor issue--a lapse in his medication could have very serious consequences. I was (and still am) outraged by how uncaring and unsympathetic the response from Mountain View's staff felt in such a critical moment. I completely understand that clinics have policies and limitations. However, compassion, clear communication, and a genuine effort to problem-solve for a medically fragile dog were all missing from our experience. Based on how this situation was handled, we no longer feel comfortable trusting Mountain View with his care.

Otis is a standard poodle and we get a German Clip, he has anal gland problems, and very dirty ears (poodles am I right?). Both times we've gone in we were greeted warmly, the shop is small and busy, but very open. There are no secret back rooms at this groomer, they groom in the open with several friendly dogs sometimes wondering around. You'll receive a call a day before your appointment as a reminder, which I appreciate. A full groom for my medium size dog takes about 4 hours, and cost around 150.00. A little above the standard for the area but worth it! Otis is a shy sensitive boy and never cared for grooming. Not here, on only his second time here he walked straight in and went up to a groomer he remembered. At pick up he was happy and calm a good sign to me that they care for the dogs they service. We get a fairly simple poodle cut, clean face and feet, large top knot. He comes home smelling nice (not perfumed), and cut correctly. Not sure what products they use (or if it's just their expertise) but the brush out holds much longer than at other groomers we've gone too. Appointments are a few weeks out but they can put you on a waiting list for cancellations which is helpful for last minute grooming. Over all we are fans and fully trust the groomers to care for our dog!
