Came to Fuzzy's for dinner tonight because my wife has been wanting to try this place since she saw it being built. It is an interesting idea for a mexican place, but it is not for us. When you first walk in, you are send to a bar/cashier area to place your order. Once you pay, they give you a buzzer, and you go find a seat. When the buzzer goes off, you walk up to a window in the kitchen area to pick up your food. We found the portions to be on the smaller side. My cliantro lime rice and refried beans were only luke warm. The pork taco was so small, that it was almost a joke. All three of us had our food eaten in about 10 minutes, and my daughter is a very slow eater. I believe this place is for people that want alcoholic drinks as the primary reason for going to a place, with food just to compliment the alcohol. I am glad we tried it, as we would have been wondering what this place is about. We will not be returning, as there are better places around to get this same type of food. read more

So you go up to order food. Then you have to pick it up at the window. If you want an alcoholic beverage you have to go to a separate bar and bring your drink to the table. If you need silverware that's in a different location. Poor execution of concept. I get you don't want a wait staff but the whole set up is exhausting. At least have food runners able to bring food and help bus tables. The staff was sitting around while we were busting out butts. Food was ok, not very authentic but good. The best part is at the end you get to bus your own tables. I won't be going back, too many other great Mexican spots in the area. read more

Tacos are really yummy and reasonably priced. I've been here many times and really enjoy the steak and the fish tacos. I visited the day before moving to Europe and had 6 tacos, I can't wait to visit again when I return in December. This restaurant is great for when you want quick and simple Mexican cuisine but not necessarily drive through Taco Bell. It is a bar and grill atmosphere. They have great Margherita specials and pretty quick service. The system where you pick up your food from the grill window can be a bit confusing but other than that there are no major complaints. I wish it were a bit more spiffy but you really can't complain because you pretty much get exactly what you pay for. Overall, definitely a reliable, local Taco shop! read more

What a disappointing experience. I was so excited to try Fuzzy's since I love 'street tocos' and had been watching daily for them to open. My wife and I went the first week and we could not have been more let down. First, the food. This was the worst let down of all. Nothing was memorable or even very flavorful and every last taco and burrito was room temperature or cold. The queso has a a slimy consistency and tastes like melted velveeta. I ordered ours with chorizo and there may have been generously 2-3 tiny pieces of meat in it at best. I ordered a burrito with ground beef and it was completely flavorless. I love to eat and I did not finish it because it was so boring and cold. I then went back and ordered a spicy shrimp taco that has some fancy name and the battered shrimp was cold and soggy. The spicy sirracha sauce was ok but that was about it. My wife had two "street tacos" that were cold and bland as well. I will chalk up the extremely slow service and miscommunications between the front counter and the kitchen to growing pains but it still bears a mention. The initial line moved painfully slow. Once we finally ordered they gave us a 'pager' to tell us when to pick up our chips and queso at the kitchen window. Our pager went off and we stood at the window for over 5 minutes while they scrambled to try to place chips in a basket and pour some queso in a cup. It's just a pet peeve of mine, but don't page me to pick something up if it is not ready. All in all, as a taco shop this is a complete bust. There are far better options that are cheaper and offer a wide variety of interesting and flavorful combinations that Fuzzy's lacks read more

Strawberry margarita was super yummy, very big and left me buzzed. The shredded chicken salad however wasn't that spectacular. The best thing about it was the avocado ranch. Using the dressing as a dip was better than using it as a salad dressing. If you are going to do a taco salad, just do one right. Put it in a shell, use refried beans at the bottom, shredded lettuce, etc. I unfortunately won't be ordering this again. I really enjoyed the chips and salsa. I have been trying to find a good salsa for a while now and I enjoyed this one. Jar salsa sucks. I can not find one that is good and restaurant salsa recently either has zero flavor or is so spicy my mouth falls off. It's either to thin or to chunky, just tastes like tomatoes, etc. This one had a tiny bit of spice, not enough to burn but enough to give it a kick. My husband ordered the drunken pig, it's their borracho beans topped with pork. The flavor reminded me of Campbell's bean with bacon soup, but it's thicker like a stew or a dip. The soup is a childhood favorite of mine, so I really enjoyed it. The biggest complaint was that the line of people was very long. It seemed to never move, and half the tables in the restaurant were empty. I would love to see online ordering and quicker lines. I got there at 12:15 and did not get my food till almost 1. Overall it was good. I was pleasantly surprised by the bar and interior. There was a baby changing station in the restroom and plenty of baby seats and child boosters. Out of all the quick casual tex-mex places, Fuzzy's is definitely on the bottom of the list. Service is good, and it is pretty fast, but the food is mediocre at best. Queso is really bland, and they put a seasoning on the chips that's almost like Old Bay, which is an incredibly weird flavor on tex-mex chips. Not a fan. The guacamole is marginally better, but needs some lime. My first order was takeout, which is arguably not as good as eating in, but the taco I got was cold by the time I got home (I live less than 10 minutes away), and completely fell apart on me when I was tying to eat it. The second time I ate there, I ate in. I got nachos, which were huge, but lacking in flavor. Can't say I want to give the place a third try. I'll just stick with Tijuana Flats. read more

I went up here for lunch with a friend and we enjoyed tacos together along with some drinks. I especially enjoyed the Fuzzy Sunrise drink. It was big, peach and so much yum! I loved that they had Cinnamon Toast Crunch shots also. Our bartender Terrance was especially nice. In all honesty they killed it here with customer service! Everything was fresh, prompt and served with a smile. My only complaints were that I did feel the tacos were small but for $2 a pop I was understanding of this. I also wish they had a bigger selection as far as hot sauces instead of just the two. Hopefully they take these two small things into consideration and up the portions. All in all I'll be back to watch sports games and hit happy hour which was 11am-7pm. Can't beat that! read more

I'm giving 2 stars because the service was good and the staff was friendly. I had the beef fajita taco and my friend had the fish taco. His taco smelled very fishy to me but he said it tasted fine. My tacos were good but nothing great for the price. I also ordered salsa and chips. The chips were lightly dusted with chili powder so that was nice but the salsa had a weird taste to it. Nothing I've experienced before. They give refills but we passed. The decor reminds me a bit of Tijuana Flats; fun and festive. They do have big screen tv's for sports and a full-service bar. One side of the bar is opened to the outside seating. You can actually sit up at the bar from the outside which is cool for fall and winter months here in Florida. I think it would be too hot during the summer but maybe with the A/C flowing through the windows, its enough to keep patrons cool. read more

Not a fan of this place. it's a true one-off for me. The vaunted queso was almost cold. A replacement was no better. Probably has to do with the all of the cold tomatoes that was added to it. The salsa Verde that was smothered over my burrito was cold too. Made the burrito that much colder too since it was also stuffed with cold vegetables. Was told that is how it is served..."may I warm it up in the microwave for you?"...uh no. Generally disappointing food. The beans weren't cooked and there was no flavor. Wow this place was really bad. There was no one in there, which makes sense because the food sucked. It's below average. The quality of the meat is lower-grade. The chicken is like the quality you get at a mall Japanese or bourbon chicken joint. The steak is on the chewy side. The pork is only decent, same for fish. The queso is too gelatinous. Terrible Mexican food. We went here for a going away celebration, we were about a party of 15 to 20 people and no one was satisfied with their food. I am not certain how they prepare their ground beef but it tasted similar to what dog food might taste like. I'm not trying to be mean or nasty, something was seriously wrong. Within 20 minutes of eating both myself and my husband got physically ill and had to use their restroom for our sick bellies. Unfortunately the only thing worth getting here is a margarita. This is a poor representation of Mexican food. They should seriously consider a new recipe or a new cook, especially for anything made with beef. You have been warned. read more

But if you want to hang out and drink and watch sports, it looks like a cool place to do that at. The souvenir cup was cool. The mix-mex rice was good. The not so good: The tacos are small and the serving of meat inside them is smaller. The meat was also barely above room temperature. The grilled fish taco was particularly sub-par. The queso. I've never had queso with chips I didn't like, until this place. It seemed like someone took real queso and double the amount of it by adding water. It was gross. Sad to say I won't be back. I'll go back and try some other things, but I am not overly impressed. The brisket was good and the spicy pork was flavorful, but the sides were less than desireable. Mexican potatoes are basically breakfast potatoes with sautéed onions. Th Mexican fried rice is just yellow rice with corn and peas. Both sides have nothing to do with being Mexican. I never give bad reviews but I have to comment on this place. I've been there twice and on both experiences the food was terrible! I only went a second time in hopes that the first time was bad only because it was a new place and they were busy but my second visit was actually worse than the first. I can't begin to express how bad it was. This is nothing close to authentic Hispanic food. Even for an American taco shop, this is just embarrassingly bad. Tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and the chicken item on kids menu were all bland, cold, mushy, tasted weird or microwaved and just straight terrible! Oh the Chicken tasted like tuna that really got me. My first visit we had a decent waitress who was helpful and checked on how our meal was but the second time....We never had anyone come by to ask how everything was and it was slow...AND there was a waitress standing directly behind our booth pretty much finding something to do because of how slow it was. The first time I came to Fuzzy's I liked not loved it. I gave it a few more tries and really started to enjoy the place. They have a ton of taco options, including fish (fried or grilled) and vegetarian, which are my picks. The best thing about this place is the deals. I came back for $1 taco day and after a loooong wait my boyfriend and I finally found a little table to set our taco spread down. We got 6 tacos between us for $6 which was incredible. We then noticed they have a taco Tuesday deal where it's less than $2 a taco! Not as good as the once a year $2 taco day, it we realized you can get more food for less money than Tijuana Flats' Tuesday deal. The one thing I didn't love that would make me go to another fast taco chain was the queso. It wasn't awful, it was just totally underwhelming. I'm a huge fan of queso, but I'll stick to other sides when I come here. I did love the rice and beans the first time I tried Fuzzy's. They also have happy hour drink deals from 11-6 (I'm pretty sure) on weekdays. I can't fully remember the deals but I think it's a dollar or two off the margaritas, which sounds great since they're huge! They're not the best taco place in town BUT they're quick, affordable, have great deals, and they're close to UCF. If they improve the queso recipe, I'd definitely go more Tuesdays. read more

Fantastic service from the nice gentleman named Kaci (sp). I'm vegetarian so it was nice to see they offered a special menu. The atmosphere was very welcoming with a good hangout type vibe. I ordered the bean and cheese nachos and they were delicious, especially their salsa it had great flavor! My husband ordered the spicy pork tacos and now is addicted. Fuzzy's gets a bad rap I think n it's pretty unfair. I'm going to keep this review somewhat brief and say that the service we got from Casey and the other guy (beard not sure of his name) was excellent. You have to order at the counter which is kind of a downside if you have a large group but the guys at the bar were super nice and accommodated all of us. They even hooked us up with more shots because we whined about our drinks being kind of watery (it's 100 degrees outside). Really they turned our experience around. I had the pork and chicken tacos which were both delicious. My tab was SO cheap. I will be back. I recommend trying it but keep an open mind...drink beer...eat tacos...and write them a nice review because they deserve it. read more
