Had such a fun night at Fiesta Tequila House in Altamonte Springs! I ordered the shrimp enchiladas and they were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly satisfying. I also enjoyed one of the best skinny margaritas I've had in a while. The bartender was incredibly accommodating to my bougie request to add muddled jalapeños into my drink to make it perfectly spicy. The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, the restaurant was very clean, and the festive, colorful atmosphere made it a great place to relax and enjoy the evening. They also offer a great Taco Tuesday special, which makes it an even better spot to meet up with friends for a casual night out. This was my third visit to Fiesta Azul and I was excited to share this Outback replacement with my son. I love the ambiance and colorful decor. It was a Monday afternoon and the sign out front advertised $3 off margaritas. That was not reflected on our bill plus we ordered small drinks and the Manager that took our order refused to own up to his mistake. My confusion was that the drinks we got were the same size as a margarita at Garibaldi's. Guess I won't make that mistake again. The restaurant only had one server so service was very slow on a fairly busy evening. Despite the poor service, the food was delicious. We indulged in two appetizers as well as chips and salsa. I was very disappointed with the restaurant. On the outside, the place looks like someplace you want to go to. Once you walk in, the place does not disappoint. The food smelled amazing. It looked great. My first thought was, why was this place empty on Friday evening at 7pm. Once we entered, a friendly guy greeted us and walked us to a table. The food tasted amazing. The salsa has to be the best we've ever had. Our server, was not interested in helping us. We seemed to be more an inconvenience than anything else. He never gave us his name and was bothered when we asked about his favorites on the menu. The menu is INTENSE. There are so many options to choose from on the menu. It's really impressive. Most waiters are happy to talk about their favorites and the menu, but he was bothered by us. We ordered the tableside Guacamole. The person that came to make the Guacamole seemed angry. The place has killer drinks. My choice was a corn based bourdon. The bartender had great recommendations and made great drinks. My plate of food was salmon with rice and vegetables. The salmon did not taste as fresh and might have been slightly freezer burned. Was disappointed with the plate but the staff were very friendly but occupied with their conversation with each other as it was a slow day. So to start off I came here for my friends birthday, as soon as you walk in you are greeted with a warm smile and you get seated. We got to the place and we still had some friends on the way to the restaurant, the waiter was super nice and understanding kept checking up on us making sure everything was good while we waited. The chips and salsa are so good and taste fresh (some other restaurants it taste like oil) the salsa they give out is amazing (need the recipe ) the virgin mojito is amazing 10/10 and the crispy shrimp tacos are to die for. Wonderful first experience at Fiesta Azul! We went for an early weekend dinner and were able to be seated right away. I have not been able to find an authentic Michelada in central Fl but finally found one here and it was sooo good! They made it a little spicy for me too which I loved. For dinner I ordered the garlic shrimp platter and it was incredible! Super flavorful and fresh. The other entrees ordered were the steak platter and the chimichanga which were delicious as well. This place has so much potential, but the experience fell short for me. The food was good but the vibes were not. We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night after passing by a few times. When we got there, there was one large table near the back and a couple in a booth. We stood there for about 5 minutes before someone finally came to seat us, but the full time we were standing there we were never greeted nor did any of the front of house staff give us a "be right with you" comment. They just walked back and forth across the restaurant. Sort of awkward. The hostess finally took us to a booth near the bar with an enormous tv playing basketball hanging over the seats and basically protruding into the booth. It felt dangerous at worst and an ambience killer at best so we scooted to a different booth. Our waiter came quickly with chips and salsa (standard fare, yummy). He was fine, but disinterested. No smiles or warmth. I was FREEZING (there are vents every few feet blasting cold air so there wasn't anywhere to move) and when I asked whether it was possible to do anything about that he told me to order a shot of tequila. Funny, but the deadpan delivery made me feel like I'd annoyed him for asking. The food was good. I ordered tamales and they were delicious and came with an avocado salad I couldn't get enough of. My husband got al pastor tacos. He said they were too salty but I thought they were good even if the corn tortillas were not super sturdy. We also ordered street corn. Really yummy, though be ready the menu says esquites but what you get is elote. Delicious either way. We never got refills on our water, even though I subtly put the empty carafe on the outside of our table where any waiter could easily spot. I could've been a grown up and asked, but at that point I felt like a bother. Overall, i think this place has a lot of potential. The inside was nice. Clean and the hostess was friendly. We were served chips and salsa pretty quickly. The chips were stale but we had just come from a funeral and we were starving. When mentioned to the waiter he said ya we already know do you want fresh ones? Um most wouldn't even ask but just bring them out. Asked for salt to help the stale chips and then our food came out still no salt. On the menu under Platos fuertes it was printed that all plates come with tortillas. So my husband went to ask for salt and tortillas and finally salt and paper weee dropped off with driest corn tortillas I have ever been served. The food wasn't bad my chile rellenos had a nice flavor but they weren't hot enough to melt the cheese inside which luckily for me I like the cheese. Everything we tried was amazing. I did not care for the sangria so the waiter changed it out for a Blueberry Margarita. It is a scratch kitchen so everything is made fresh daily. We met neighbors here for a group night out. It was alot of fun. Margaritas and beers coupled with good Mexican food. The burritos are huge and I heard delicious. My friend who had the enchiladas said they were very good and had some left for tomorrow. There aren't a lot of choices for my gluten allergy but the rice bowl is filling and full of lots of fresh ingredients also, enough for leftovers. The chimichangas are smaller but I am told good. Crispy on the outside and warm in the middle-sometimes a little tough in areas. A great place for celebration, fun and good food. I came here one evening after work with some coworkers. We were saying goodbye to one of our dear members as she went off to pursue other opportunities. The place gave me no problems reserving a table for 12 people, which is always appreciated. Ambiance was pretty cool. Since it had been a while since I'd been to a real taco shop, I got the lengua, much to the shock of all the simpler palates around me. My goodness, that was some tender, flavorful lengua. There was a lot of it, along with a few fresh, simple other ingredients that made this such a good taco. The sides definitely were lacking, though. The rice tasted like it came out of a bag, and the soupy beans were rinsed of seasoning. So be excited for the tacos, but also maybe order something else so you can be satisfied. I first discovered Fiesta Azul Tequila House through an IG post, and I'm so glad I did! I've been several times with friends and family, and have ordered the steak and chicken fajitas, steak chimi, and steak quesadillas several times. The quality of the meat is consistently amazing--tender, flavorful steak with huge portions. You definitely get your money's worth! The atmosphere is nice with a great vibe. The music can be a bit loud near the bar, but it's quieter where most of the tables are, which gives you a nice option depending on your mood. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one time they even caught on that it was a birthday celebration, bringing out a hat and tequila shot for the birthday girl while singing happy birthday--such a fun touch! While Fiesta Azul is a tequila house, they haven't had a tequila list available, but I was told that one is in the works and coming soon. I'm excited to see what they debut! I would definitely recommend Fiesta Azul to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and large portions. You'll likely have leftovers to enjoy later, which is always a bonus. Decided to give them a try for an early dinner since we saw that they were finally open! The restaurant is nicely decorated, modern, open and with plenty of seating and a bar area. I like the blue color of the theme. Prices are good compared to other restaurants in the area. The staff was nice, attentive, friendly and happy to answer any questions or make suggestions. Our server Miriam was awesome and she checked on us often. As for the food it was hit and miss with some of the items. We got chips and salsa and ordered queso fundido with chorizo (it was tasty), Mexican margarita, House Margarita (it was okay), the Carne Asada (tasted a bit like propane), the Enchiladas Verdes with Chicken did not have enough sauce (pretty dry), the Chiles Rellenos were a bit on the unroasted side (as they should, they were hard to cut into), the beans and rice were okay. The bar drink menu is extensive with several cocktails and margaritas to choose from. I had a Paloma and loved it. It was balanced and refreshing. For dinner I wanted to do something light so I ordered the chicken tortilla soup. A beautiful mountain of veggies arrived in a soup bowl with a delicious light broth. The pulled chicken was great and the veggies were cooked through. There was also rice at the bottom of the bowl which I felt absorbed a lot of the broth from the soup. I'd ask to leave it out next time. The owners checked in on the tables and made sure everyone had what they needed. Fiesta Azul is a great new addition to the altamonte area! They have amazing weekly specials with great price points. Service was on point from the moment we entered until the moment we left. Our server was super attentive and informative. They are located where Outback used to be so they kept the bones of it but added their own touch of decor including a cool photo op wall (not pictured). Since we went on a Tuesday, we were able to take advantage of some great taco and margarita deals. Chips and salsa were complementary and we order guacamole which was made in front of us. For our entrees, my boyfriend pick the chicken texmex tacos which was only $8 for 3! I picked the Mexican street tacos which came with three tacos, rice and beans for only $10. I preferred the street tacos and felt like they were more flavorful but both meals had authentic taste. We also ordered the pitcher of house marg which was only $15! We both got about 4-5 drinks out of it which was an amazing deal. These prices are just for Tuesday but they're regular prices are also very reasonable. Overall, I loved this place! 3rd Update: 3rd visit, another star off. We are done with this restaurant. We went back and tried to order the corn old fashion again and their fancy pineapple drink. Wow! I guess they don't have a bartender? Our server walked over to the bar and tried her best to create our drinks. I smelled my drink and knew right away, this was not the same as my first visit. She served me a Jim bean old fashion and expected me to like it?! When she returned to ask how the drinks were, I said I'm sorry I have to send this back. She said oh why? I asked if this was a corn old fashion she said yes. I just laughed and say ok, sure. So not only did she lie to me then she tells me oh yeah we don't have the corn simple syrup..... we've been making them like this and most people like them. So you lied, then didn't even give a chance to decline your Frankenstein old fashion? Terrible service. Then she tried to explain they can't get the corn syrup. The buyers aren't able to..... but that they might get it back in a few weeks and they are revamping the cocktail menu?! To top this off, wifes drink was literally just 10oz of rum and a splash of pineapple lol (which I guess we can deal with vs my undrinkable cocktail). Decided to stop on in tonight. This is a new addition to the area and has taken the spot of the old Outback Steakhouse. Dinner on a Saturday night was busy but we were seated promptly. The decor is nice! It's got that trendy vibe we all know and love these days. The food came out pretty quick. Everything was tasty. Wherever I go, if there's birria tacos on the menu- I'm sold. The tacos are filled generously with meat and consommé was good- I prefer a thicker/fattier consommé but theirs was just fine. My husband and kids enjoyed their entrees as well.
