At Santa Paula Recycling, I've found them to be well organized usually friendly. They are often quite helpful by providing me with assistance unloading my car and placing the bottles and cans into their wire receptacles for weighing. The place is on a large dirt lot and there is plenty of space for cars, but there is no traditional parking lot.

Can easily take them over to where they are weighed. Had two people ahead of me but the line moves fast. Then you take the paperwork to the adjacent window where you get paid. Every time I go, the process is smooth with no issues. When you get there you'll grab a few of their recycling bins and you'll place your recycled items in there. Then you take it to them and they'll weigh it. From there, they will give you a slip with how much everything is worth. You then take it to the cashier for your payout. That's it! I always average around $35-40 when I go. It's not much but I'll take it. Just note it's grungy and smelly and you should wear gloves. But overall I'm okay with that since I get to help out Mother Earth and Captain Planet would be proud.

That's what it deserves…read more First, I'm gonna start off by saying I was standing in line and someone else was let go in front of me when I was already standing in line the SA worker pointed to the next person in line which was me, but I gave it to someone else. But that's not even my main issue. My problem is I had a bag of #2 copper, that I have been gathering for a few months. Weighed it at home before even going to the recycling center and it weighed 21 pound. Wherever this worker was, a SA employee, put up my items on the scale and weighed them at 3 pounds total which ultimately came out to $11 total which is an absolute rip off, disrespectful and an absolutely a punch in the face for my time and totally unacceptable to get ripped off. Damn to top it all off. The two employees were looking at me and staring as I walked back to my car like that isn't already obvious and I'm trying to figure out what is it they have against me? This is a waste of my time and my money. Why would someone want to rip off someone off? It doesn't interfere with the employee earnings. Oh and by the way, but these employees, saw my bucket of copper and told me before putting my copper on the scale that anything over $20. I'll have to wait 4 days to get payout bs. what a coincidence, now all of a sudden it only weighs 3 pounds.

If you don't get here 30 mins before they open, you might be at the back of a long recyling line. Last time I was here I think I was the 3rd person in line and it took a good 20 mins before it was my turn. The people in front of me had at least 5 plus recycling containers each, and with one person weighing stuff, you can imagine how long it took. I just feel bad for the people behind me because by the time i left, the line was at least 10 people long and each with multiple bags to recycle. The only positive thing I like about Rhine Recycling Center is that they are open on Sundays. I appreciate that very much as most recycling places are closed on the weekends. So would I come here again? Yea I would, but I just gotta make sure I get here early....and make sure you do too!
