On the mile drive on the bumpy dirt road with multiple routes, there were no traffic directors to be seen and only relied on the semi truck in front of me. I arrived in an area where the commercial vehicles were and I had no idea where to go. I got out and was getting ready to dump my machine when a garbage disposal worker asked me what I was doing and was kind, respectful, and helpful. He guided me to the right place and told me where I was at was a major safety hazard for myself. On my way to the designated drop off area, I finally saw a traffic director, and he was polite and confirmed where the designated drop off area was. I almost got lost on my way out, but I figured it out. There seriously needs to be more traffic directors at the designated checkpoint towers to avoid confusion and to maintain the safety of everybody. I'm disappointed.

It was a great suggestion. Now I realize that Peach Hills Soils was the way to go from the beginning. What a nice place for quality soil, mulch, landscaping rocks and more. The sign is easy to see from Los Angeles Ave and their lot is all the way down past the nurseries, you'll spot the barn and their office. My rock orders were below their delivery minimums but I was able to arrange pickup. This place is noobie friendly and pro friendly. There are multiple varities of mulch that you can bag yourself. They have a nice selection of river pebbles and huge boulders. Walkable lot, well worth a visit.

Now I'm being charged another $109 for going over the one ton that I had already paid for. I am furious! They are efficient and friendly. I think the amount they pay for aluminum, plastic and glass here are the best in the area. I'm not sure if the do other recycling materials (i.e. copper, scrap metal) because I don't need those services. But if they do, I'm sure you'd get the best prices on those too. They also have a bathroom available to customers for hand washing after you drop your recycling.

At Santa Paula Recycling, I've found them to be well organized usually friendly. They are often quite helpful by providing me with assistance unloading my car and placing the bottles and cans into their wire receptacles for weighing. The place is on a large dirt lot and there is plenty of space for cars, but there is no traditional parking lot.
