Hired to help fix a damaged shutter. Easy to schedule, completed the job quickly and at a reasonable cost. Will definitely use again.

I've honestly lost track of how many times I've used Flatpack Assembly - I think I'm up to FOUR…read more Carlos and his team always go the extra mile with assembly and installations. I was especially impressed on the most recent project that included mounting of a digital photo frame. Carlos simply "wasn't having it" to mount the frame with the electrical cord showing! He expertly drilled holes and snaked the cord through the inside of the wall and back out just above the electrical outlet for an amazingly clean look. He had the finishing caps to cover the entry and exit holes too. Carlos and the crew also took a very personal interest in mounting my career memorabilia (22 plaques and awards!) beautifully in my home office. And they are undaunted by "oddball" stuff like mounting clips for a tapestry in my media room to cover unsightly electrical panels. Their excellence starts with the manager Marc who gathers a LOT of information from you (pictures, model numbers, installation videos, etc.) so that the crew arrives fully prepared. Not only are their prices very competitive, but Flatpack offers a flat RATE quote so that the crew stays until the job is completed. I'm very pleased to have found this amazing company.

Once you reach out to them with the specifications of your project they will quickly respond with an estimate and even pictures of similar projects they've done. I reached out on a Monday and was able to have my wall be installed on Saturday. Now that's service! Trey was/is the 'real deal'; very professional! ...worth every dollar! When he set up his tables, tools and camera to video the install I knew I was in good hands! He was helped by Khadir and another young man. They communicated well and made a great team. They arrived early (who does that? Contractors are rarely on time). He explained everything along the way, to include the parts that were missing (luckily it was only a few screws that he had in his tool box), how to work the bed, and which mattress would be the best for that bed (based on the instructions given). I am so relieved to have this project complete. I have no doubt about it being installed correctly. Great job. I'll definitely call them again if I need similar service. By the way, they also followed up with a detail list of what was missing (by part number/name) and where to find it in the manual. That made it easy for me to get replacement parts from the manufacturer. Great job Flatpack!

Extremely disappointed with the services provided and the disingenuous pricing of the work. I…read morerequested assistance with repairing a leaking sliding glass door and fixing a small hole (1.5" x 1.5") in my garage siding. I was quoted $450- $550 to fix the sliding door, and the siding repair was not included in the estimate. The repairman did not attempt to recreate the leak for the sliding door and suggested either caulking a small gap that might be the issue or replacing the entire door assembly. I said I would take care of caulking the door because I needed to clean the surfaces beforehand. We spent about 5 minutes addressing this. We then moved to the hole in the garage siding. Initially, the repairman asked if I wanted him to caulk the hole. Caulk seemed inappropriate for the repair, and I suggested using Bondo or something similar. He said he wouldn't be able to match the siding profile perfectly, but he could try. He also said he wasn't sure he could match the color, but he would take a paint chip to Lowe's to see what he could do. I understood the limitations and approved his attempt at the repair. I wish I hadn't; I would have been better off going to Lowe's, picking up some epoxy, and spending half an hour doing it myself. He said the paint chip he brought in wasn't big enough to color match, so he got a can of spray paint that looked close. I approved him to try it nonetheless and again, wish I hadn't. After finishing the job, the repairman gave me the invoice and said he came in at the low end of $450, which was confusing to me because that was the estimate for repairing the sliding door; we hadn't discussed an estimate for repairing the hole in the garage. I addressed this directly and was met with the response that "I have no control over the pricing, I just punch it in the computer, and it gives me a total." After including the cost of the spray paint and the credit card processing fee, the bill was $534.20 for a poorly executed repair of a 1.5" x 1.5" hole in some metal siding. That's absolutely insane. I would caution against using this company's services due to the poor workmanship and the predatory pricing. I tried calling to address this issue, but I couldn't reach anyone other than an AI phone agent.

The power wash went well and pictures were taken of the completed job to have on file. It was explained to me that the pictures of the deck would assist the next technician to plan for the deck to be stained. When it was time for the deck to be stained, the technician arrived stating the job was not scheduled properly, the previous quote was incorrect and the job couldn't be completed on that day. After requesting time off from work, weeks in advance all I could do was approve the work for the time allotted. That resulted in 1/3 of the job (exterior deck) completed at the top of the price range. There seems to be a lack of communication amongst the team at Mr. Handyman, which leads to poor customer service. Now due to AI, it's very challenging trying to speak to a human to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, I'm looking into another company who has provided Great customer service consistently.

I was wrong, when I opened the box and saw all those pieces, I knew immediately I had to hire someone for the job. I got on Yelp and came across John's business. I was a little skeptical at first because it says furniture assembly but I decided to message him anyway. Not only did he answer right away but the price was excellent and he could fit me in the next day!! John arrived promptly and went right to work. It didn't take him long before he had the treadmill put together and was working on the bike. He even opened up the treadmill mat and set everything up nicely. He completed the bike in what seemed like seconds and I tested everything out. John was very professional, on time and he answered all my questions with ease. Everything was well put together and he didn't leave a mess behind. I am throughly impressed. Not only is he skilled in assembly but he's sort of a jack of all trades. I explained to him a situation that I was having with the light in the basement and he knew exactly what to do to remedy it. John is officially my go to guy!! It wasn't until the technicians began that we discovered an important piece is missing so the job had to be postponed. The company wanted to charge me $250 for "canceling" & then another $450 to come back to complete the assembly. I said $700 for an umbrella installation is out of price range so they charged me $350. When I called back to find out why the $100 more, I was told it was because I was not having them come back so he charged me the full standard cancelation rate per their "contract" which by the way, is referring to their email, I signed no contract with them. The guy on the line was very helpful, asked all the necessary questions, and had someone booked to come to my place in two days. Easy. My only complaint is that I was told they would get there between noon and 4. Pretty broad window; sure, it's no cable company who only gives you the date and you're expected to wait around in your pajamas, but still I was hoping for more specificity. Then...they showed up at 5. That's the complaint. But they actually managed to build the whole thing in 2 hours, which means I essentially paid the minimal hourly rate. They unpacked everything, brought their own tools, put the bookshelf nicely against the wall, then disposed of all the packaging. All of this was done with no supervision and while I continued to watch a marathon of Law and Order. I will absolutely use them again for all my assembly needs. I just might have to be prepared to wait around a bit longer.
