I purchased new wood flooring for my home. The price was competitive but the quality was less than expected (cracked ends, missing chips, poor alignment between tongue and groove). I had an allowance of 19.5% extra wood but used up almost all of it. That made the installers use many pieces that should have been rejected. I would recommend paying a little more rather than getting a discounted product since your home is a long-term investment. read more

Bottom Line: Great service and a smooth operation for those shopping for new floors and such. I went to Wood Floors Plus looking for cabinetry. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for but I was so impressed with this no-frills warehouse that I couldn't resist looking around. Inside the gargantuan building they have simple but easy to navigate displays of what they sell. Then the back of the warehouse is all of their inventory so you can pick it up that day and take it home. They specialize in hardware floors, engineered wood flooring and laminate flooring but I think they also have some tile, vinyl and rugs too. As mentioned I was there looking at cabinetry. The stock several options from Aristokraft. Prior to my visit I called Wood Floors Plus and the employee I spoke to was very helpful. I also asked for some help while on site and again the employee was friendly and knowledgeable. Wood Floors Plus didn't have what I was looking for but the employee delivered the bad news with such a nice smile and a sincere expression of regret that I still left happy and certainly impressed with this operation, business model and the customer service. When its time for new flooring this is absolutely where I will go. read more

Five stars for Wood Floors Plus, especially Amanda and Doug! Even on a busy Saturday, they both took every step they could to make sure my purchase and pick-up went smooth. I had the sample and had calculated the number of boxes I needed. Amanda rung me up and gave me suggestions about the best way to transport my vinyl plank. When I gave her my order of 51 boxes, she asked me the year, make, and model of my car and calculated the maximum load for my shocks. I hadn't even considered this! She assured me I could get all of the planks from the same lot, make multiple trips (on multiple days if needed) and the guys who do the loading would take care of me. And that they did! Doug did the maximum weight calculation again and figured I would need 3 trips with 17 boxes in each. Some ppl came with things to haul and just had the forklifts load a whole pallet and were done in 1 trip. Me, on the other hand, I was in my Honda Accord, would need to make 3 trips, and each box had to be loaded by hand. After my first trip, Doug was waiting with the rest of my order to load me up again. I didn't have to wait at all.. I pulled up to pick up my last of 3 loads at 4:58...2 minutes before they closed. Doug was in the back, but 2 other guys had already loaded my car by the time he walked out. The only thing left to do was to tip him, which I gladly did. Amanda and Doug were rock stars! Wood Floors Plus is awesome! They have great prices and great customer service. Before I went to the store I called ahead of time and the representative let me know what aisles the floors I was looking for were in. When I got there picking my floors was easy and I was able to scan a QR code to see how much of the floor I wanted was in stock (which I thought was pretty cool). I picked up a few days after I purchased and they make it easy by telling customers to call about 20-30 mins ahead of time so they can pull my order. They have a loading area, where someone helps load the car and the guy who helped made sure everything fit and helped moved things around in my vehicle. I just picked up underlayment and before I placed my order over the phone with Amanda (I believe that's her name). Her customer service was wonderful as well and I was able to go to the loading area and pick up once again. Thanks for always having good service! read more

Really nothing but good experiences here. I've gotten hardwood laminate and just recently vinyl. Even their area rugs are quality and a good deal. For my recent purchase I obsessed between laminate and vinyl. The price and need was right so I finally made a selection. Malcolm was extremely helpful in sealing the deal even helping with finding my border moldings in the clearance section and they were a perfect match. The guys work hard here loading your vehicle they will even hold your items for pick up. My only regret is everything is store credit so you must be absolutely sure on your purchases. Their competition can't touch them because they rarely have what you want in stock but WFP can tell you right away how much they have. Just scan your sample. Keep up the good work!! read more

Extremely happy with my purchase. Richard walked us through the warehouse, showed us options and was extremely helpful. I wasn't sure what type of flooring to use for a salon. Richard and his boss suggested vinyl for easier upkeep and it made sense. I purchased Pergo toasted apple. It came out to be a great deal. We've installed most of the floor and might have extra. I was told to simply return them if they are unused. Their Pergo /vinyl flooring is at least dollar less per sq. feet than Lowes and Home Depot. And they have more to choose from than the other stores. I'll definitely be coming back for any other flooring in the future. read more

This is harder than buying a car. With a car you can resell it if you don't like it, but with hardwood, once you get it installed, you're pretty much stuck with it until you sell your house. Wood Floors Plus has a great selection of many different types of hardwood flooring at the best prices. My wife and I took several trips here until we found the winning batch. However, along the way, Brian who works here, helped us so much. He was very knowledgeable in the different types of wood and helped us immensely in our quest for the perfect hardwood. We looked at every other store, online and brick and mortar and we still couldn't find anyone that came near the prices that Wood Floors Plus advertised. Even though the store was about 2 hours from our home. Warehouse full of flooring for 30 to 75% cheaper than big name home improvement stores. I picked up Pergo laminates for $0.99 sq ft during Black Friday sales. Customer service was great even though they were packed. Ken suggested the Pergo to us and showed us why it was better than some of the other laminate they had. He also got us the appropriate moisture barrier/pad. I will be back to buy my hardwood for the main level of our townhome. read more

As others have said, you definitely can't beat the price! I like how everything is out for you to see and there are samples of every wood they have in stock and the quality is really good. The sales people are a perfect blend of helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. Just know that they have limited quantity of most of the stuff, so if you pass on something, they may not have it the next day. Also get some extra just in case. If you end up being short, or need some more (in case of an oopsie), they might be out of that product. Also, if you need a salesman working on 100% commission and zero knowledge of the products, not letting you leave the store without buying flooring at marked up prices, go to one of 100000 other flooring stores in the area. read more

The bamboo flooring we bought here are great. Every other store we went to could not even come close to the price and all said they can't compete with wood floors plus. We even bought from the clearance section for a smaller area. We had to order stair noses from the distributors but that was ok considering the deep discount we got on the floor. This place has a large selection and good prices, but better customer service and owning up when a mistake has been made would be a great improvement. The pictures on their web site prompted me to purchase me the burnished hickory deluxe vinyl.The end result was nothing like is found on the picture. I called WFP and spoke with supervisor Chris Clickner about the problem, he first said there was no problem. After being provided a picture of my floor compared to what was advertised, Chris acknowledged they were different, but then said it was my fault for not supervising their contractors and stopping the wrong floor from being installed. Chris asked what I wanted, I said nothing more than the flooring I had ordered based on the images provided on their web site. WFP sent an email stating there were certain expectations of the customer. 1) Be home for install. Done 2) Check the boxes to make sure it was the correct product, done. 3) Check the planks to make sure they were the quality ordered. Done. After I pointed out I had done everything they said was required, but it is not the job of the customer to realize from inspecting uninstalled planks that the end result will not look like the one they have advertised, I never heard from them again. The contractor who bought the vinyl tried to get them to fix the problem, but the management of Wood Floors Plus choose to ignore his request and my e-mails, thus prompting a complaint with the BBB and the sharing of this situation on every review site in the capital area. read more

So a coworker of mine recommended this place to me when I was looking for flooring material. Their website is very deceiving, they have a lot more options available on the showroom that is not posted online. So it is worth your time to drive up there to take a look. They have ceramic, marble, stone, pergo, hardwood. laminate, basically anything that you could ever want to put on the floor and all of the supplies that you need to install it. They are definitely WAY cheaper than Lowes or Home Depot. If they have something at $2.00/ SQFT, Woodfloors plus will probably have it at $0.75/ SQFT. Make sure you budget lots of time to go through the showroom, its very big and not exactly organized like it is at Home Depot. You'll have to look at everything to find the best deals. If its not in stock you'll have to order it and place a deposit. So plan accordingly. read more

This review will be based on the customer service and the warehouse of Wood Floors Plus. Once our flooring is installed, I will provide an update based on the product itself. We had been looking for a large amount of hardwood for our home. We had tried the "other guys" and thought we had decided on a product that was $5.39 a sq ft. Then we came to Wood Floors Plus. We found a better product at a better price.... enter Richard. After getting some samples and finally deciding, I called the store and was fortunate to speak to Richard. I was able to send over some measurements from our installer and very quickly, Richard sent me back a quote. He was also able to answer my questions about the product, it's warranty, and install/acclimation period. This consisted of several emails and calls. By far, the best customer service we had received at any store during our planning process for hardwood floors. From start to finish, a very smooth process. The store is HUGE and has a wide variety of flooring. Samples are available to bring home to match with your style/cabinets. Wood Floors Plus also has cabinets and tile, as well as stair/rail materials. They are priced far below the major competitors. You won't be disappointed maki g the trip out here. The floors are going down this week, so I will update my review based on the product once the install is complete. read more

Recently had our entire house redone, you honestly can't beat the prices. Thankfully our contractor dealt with them in terms of getting everything ordered, because every time I have gone in there, customer service has been shaky at best. Materials wise, we were fairly satisfied with the flooring. After having the house done, I decided to convert an out building into a home office. We're doing this project ourselves, so I went in to purchase a small amount of flooring ( less than 200sq. Ft) by myself. My experience was typical, no one offered any sort of assistance. Regardless, I made my selection, and chose a small area rug as well. Once at the counter, my experience went completely down hill. The employee at the register I went to ( the only one w/o a customer) gave me the absolute heeby jeebies. I mean it, the entire time I had to deal to with him, I was insanely uncomfortable and felt horrendous. He literally leered at me the entire time, and the way he talked to me, can't even be put into words. Honestly, afterwards, I felt like I should have run straight home, jumped in the shower and scrubbed all my skin off. If another register had been open, I would have jumped at the chance to move. I probably should have. However, even if I had an opportunity to switch registers, I couldn't. When I first approached the register and told him I'd be purchasing some flooring, he first asked for my driver's license. Why he needs my DL is beyond me, since I would be leaving with the product that day. He then walked off with it and disappeared for over 5 minutes with it. That's probably when the first red flag should have gone up. He wasn't wearing a name tag, the only thing that identified him as an employee ( besides being behind the counter) was his WFP polo. This experience alone was enough for me to decide to never shop at WFP again. Or at the absolute minimum, send my husband in to pick up and purchase whatever product it is that I'm buying. The fact that the materials are priced insanely low is the only reason why WFP gets 3 stars. Customer service averages 2 and creepy employee puts it into the negatives. read more

Luckily they take photos of what they load and they easily could see the error. I would like to share the wonderful experience I had with wood floors plus, particularly with Brandi the sales representative and Chris, the owner. I made a very large order for hard wood flooring to replace all the floors in my home. When delivered, I got very nervous about the dark color of the wood and was worried that it would be too dark for the house. I called Brandi and Chris and they allowed me to exchange the wood for a lighter choice. They came and picked up the first order and delivered the new wood. This time, the wood was not quite as I thought it would look like. I called once again and once again they agreed to let me exchange the wood. I now have the exact floors I want in my home. They are absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be any happier. I can't imagine any other place that would have done this for me. I have never physically been to this store but I can say that I received great customer service and follow up from Kristi! My husband and I purchased a home in Virginia and the previous owners purchased their materials from Wood Floors Plus. It's all the way in Glen Burnie, MD which is quite far from us so I called and I got Kristi on the phone. I explained the situation and she first tried to look up the type of wood floors we have by address but she wasn't able to find it in the system. She then offered to try to do a little bit of research for me if I would take a picture of the floors and e-mail it to her. She got back to me right away with several options of what the floors might be along with their item # so that I could try to match them up on their website. The contractor that is doing work on my home decided to take a trip out there to match it up just to be sure but I really appreciate Kristi going the extra mile to help me. What started out as a one star review has been updated to 5. While we originally had a bit of a disheartening experience with a manager in the store, the owner of the business took this matter in to his own hands. I woke up with a message in less than 24 hours asking how he can resolve the problem. That's how you run a business! Every customer matters, we weren't just a number and he certainly made sure of that. I really can't thank him enough! My husband and I own a small local business as well and we know how much word of mouth can help and hurt a business. The flooring prices are great - especially for the clearance vinyl. I was able to get a basement for a rental property floor for 00.50 cents a sq ft + $50 adhesive. Compared to lumber liquidators price of 00.80 cents a sq ft + adhesive for the same style vinyl plank, and similar color. The basement is over 1500 sq ft, so the few cents add up to a lot of savings in the long run My issue with this company is not the pricing - the pricing is great. The front desk service is decent - it's not the best, its just ok as they are a little bit better then the average gas station cashiers. The issue arise with the x-cons working in the back loading dock. The guy handling my order must have been high on something as he proceeding to load a pallet of the stuff I ordered on to my truck, after I repeatedly told him the wood pallet WILL NOT fit. He proceeded anyway to attempt to load it, and after he realized the pallet will hit the wheel well, he quickly backed out. However, he backed the forklift too fast, the pallet scraped the side edge where the talegate meets the bed, near the break light - a quarter inch away from the break light. I drive a NEW TRUCK, so I wasn't very happy about that. Instead of apologizing he says he knows what he is doing, and runs back into the warehouse. I assess the damage, luckily it's only as SIX INCH deep gash that pulled all the paint off. I proceed to load the flooring from the forklift into the truck and 2 minutes later he comes back out and says " how come you still are not done loading"? Now I ponder if saving a few cents per square foot is worth it, as the other stores I go to have really good customer service and people actually know how to use a forklift and my truck never got damaged. read more

The prices here are excellent, but the customer service is superior. Steve helped my boyfriend and I out in choosing new flooring for our home telling us about trends, durability and overall flooring 101. I went in on a Monday and couldn't make a decision. Steve put no pressure on us and told us to take some samples home to see how they looked in our homes natural light. We came back on Wednesday and it just so happens I was not feeling very well at all. Steve asked me the color family we were looking for and brought the samples to me instead of having us walk the warehouse.
