What an asshole. This business is a high pressure pump and dump store. Reminds me of "The Good…read moreFeet Store": buy my over priced merchandise (that is of questionable value to begin with) and then you are stuck with it. No concern to either get it right or make it right. I would not ever spend another dime with this hustler. If you DO choose to shop here, be sure to avoid the asshole in charge Heinz.

This store has earned the lowest possible rating and a strongly negative review. My 90-year-old…read moremother with very difficult-to-fit feet bought a $200 pair of shoes from this store with the money I gave her for her birthday. Unfortunately, the shoes did not work for her when she tried them on again at home with her various compression socks. When she went to the store to return the unworn shoes with her receipt one week later, the owner told her there were no returns on her shoes. When I called and spoke to the owner to tell him why I believed that he had treated my mother unfairly and would give him a chance to make things right before I wrote a negative review, he accused me of threatening him. Instead of letting me explain why my elderly mother was unaware of his no-return policy, he yelled, "There are signs all over the store." Instead of listening to me, he talked over me. Consequently, he was unable to hear that my elderly mother did not see the "no returns" signs. She lives with chronic pain, and at her advanced age it is very difficult for her to shop. This is why she did not see the signs. Also, the sales clerk did not inform her of the no- return policy when she bought the shoes. Because of my mother's very difficult-to-fit elderly feet, she never would have bought the shoes if she had known she would not be able to take them home and try them on again with the various compression socks she must wear throughout the day and seasons of the year. The owner could have provided courteous customer service and listened to my explanation of why I believe his store treated my mother unfairly, but he chose not to do so. You can decide on your own if you want to spend your money at a store like this. If you do choose to shop here, be aware that you cannot return the shoes you buy--or your elderly parents buy. There is not a 30-day guarantee as one of the reviews claims. On a positive note, I am grateful to the sales clerk who recognized my mother's frail condition and took her payment while she remained seated so she would not have to walk to the register. I wish I had been there because I assume I would have seen the no-return signs since I am not elderly and do not live with chronic pain. Unfortunately, I do not live in Temple and could not be there to see the signs and protect my mother from this store's policy. Consequently, my elderly mother who subsists on social security is stuck with $200 shoes ($226 with tax) that are uncomfortable and impossible to wear with most of her compression socks. The owner told me to go ahead and post my review. He is apparently happy and satisfied with this outcome. I hope this review will protect other people, especially those who are elderly and/or those with chronic pain, who shop at his store.

The nerve injury is serious enough that I cannot risk damage to the foot or ankle so a toe off brace was suggested. My first one broke when a car nearly hit me in a crosswalk causing me to bolt to miss the car. Chase worked closely with me to identify a prescribed replacement brace (which eventually turned out to be the newly modified same brace by Allard) and was a huge help. His office manager, Stephanie, was very helpful in getting me through the scheduling, billing, and paperwork process. Just a great office with great people committed to do the best for you. I had been very unhappy with those experiences. When we saw chase, the difference was night and day. Chase was very knowledgeable, and was willing to take the time to fully understand my daughter's case and what we needed her AFO to do for her. He called the manufacturer immediately to ask if a particular adjustment would be suitable for that type of AFO and made the changes we needed quickly. As a bonus, he put my daughter at ease, which is saying something because she can take some time to warm up to new people.

I have to say I'm really disappointed in this business. I was in an inpatient rehab facility and…read morethey were sent a referral from there for a orthotic fitting. I was told they usually come to the facility within a few days to do the evaluation/fitting. However, after a week and despite multiple calls to them from the facility they didn't show and I was discharged home with an old sub-optimal orthotic. I finally got a hold of them and my initial evaluation from Mike was professional. However the other business workflow and staff were very poor. It took them more than a month to get my orthotic and when they did it sat on their shelves for a week and they forgot to call me. Then on the date of my follow up fitting they said they needed a more detailed order from my doctor. I would have appreciated longer notice. I was also accidentally hung up on or transferred to the wrong numbers by their front desk staff. Overall, the service was slow and not professional in my opinion. I'm also in the health care field and would not recommend them to any of our patients. I would recommend you make the trip into Austin for any future orthotic needs and avoid this business.
