I purchased a 6.6 Diesel Engine from this company and Caesar was my sales person. He charged me $3,500 and he said if I pay him now. He will be sure it gets delivered on Wednesday. I paid him as he requested. Wednesday I called and was put on hold for 22 minutes by Caesar. When he picked up. I said hey Caesar where is my engine. He said "Well do you want the good news or the bad news". I said Caesar I want my engine. He said well when we took it out of the truck it was no good. I said why didn't you call me or let me know. Why didn't you try and find me another one from people you know to make me happy. Instead you wait for me to call you and you put me on hold for 22 minutes ? He said well the good news is we are getting a new truck that might work. I also believe in the easter bunny. This organization has poor customer service and I still have not received my refund. Excellent doing business with this company and recommend speaking with Joe for all your auto parts needs especially if you want to save some money get a good part! I am the former owner of The Shop Speed & Performance located in the northeast of El Paso Texas which is now owned by a good friend of mine and is now called The Auto Clinic, I have done business in the past with most every salvage yard in that area and Joe from G & N auto salvage has always treated me fairly and honestly. Even though I am retired I build lots of cool cars for myself as my last project was a 2007 Supercharged Land Rover and as fate would have it the engine was shot! So I did what anyone would do started searching the Internet for a used or rebuilt engine hoping to save some money. Now a Land Rover engine could cost you over $5000 re manufactured so I called Joe from G & N auto salvage and asked him if he had an engine that would fit my 2007 Supercharged Land Rover and he said yes "Chief you're in luck" I do have one, so I asked the big question what's the price now keep in mind the cheapest one I could find was about $3500 on average. Joe said I will give you a good engine at a fair price and that fair price was $1500 shipped to my front door. Now I don't live in El Paso anymore I own a ranch in the Colorado Rocky Mountains so he had it crated and shipped to me for $1500 now that is an amazing deal! The facts are simple I don't own The Shop Speed & Performance anymore I am retired, so no Joe didn't give me business discount he gave me the average customer fair and honest price with nothing to gain but another loyal customer in the end for Joe at G & N! I needed a new tail gate for my ford explorer. They had it in the right color but it had the tell tale crack in the plastic. There was another in white without the crack on the picture. They brought it to me and it had the same crack but you couldn't tell in the photo. They went back and got the red one for me without hesitation. I didn't have a plan and wanted to replace it right there. Two employees, Chris and Mike, helped me out and we had the whole tail gate replace in 20 minutes. they even took my old one with a busted window. Everyone there was super helpful and willing to go out of thier way to help me. Honestly not what I expected but if I ever ned any more parts for my explorer you can bet Ill come here first. Bought a used engine from them with a claimed 70k for $1900 shipped. Agreeing on a delivery location was a headache in itself since the truck driver wanted roads as wide as an airport before the crying stopped. Engine looked horrible, leaking gaskets, broken oil pump bolt (thankfully I removed the oil pan to replace the gasket) and discovered bad sign after bad sign. Hounded them about a VIN, got it 4 emails later to discover it had 167k!!! They never admitted fault to their lies, instead only wanted to extend their useless warranty (which up front costs them nothing), argued about refunding to where I had to get my bank involved to force the refund and then they finally agreed to pay for shipping to return it back to them. To add insult to injury, my GF got into a fender bender driving my car while I was swapping a second engine into her car. NEVER use them and don't believe Cesar's lies. read more
