Have used this company for many years. Often multiple times per year. Learned today that they no longer contact customers prior to service. They called last week to reschedule to an unknown date. They showed up at 4pm on Friday without notice. When I asked the service person if they could come next week (company arriving), he cheerfully said yes. Shortly after, he said "Kim" at the office said I would be charged a reschedule fee. I DIDNT SCHEDULE TODAY! I called the office and spoke to "Kate". No help whatsoever. So, having them proceed to avoid a fee, but won't use them again. PS, I timed their work at 13 minutes. read more

For past 2seasons we signed a snow removal contract which was expensive. Both seasons there were no shows on the worst days. No credits issued. we will not use them again and have told the multitude of sales people who have contacted us. If I could give a zero I would. I've used the company in the past. Recently they did not show for my scheduled appointment. They were vague stating that I would be placed on a waitlist for an undetermined date and would contact me before coming out. They were sufficiently vague so I cleaned half my gutters. They then showed up unannounced. I asked how much for half the job and the crew couldn't give me a price. I called and was told the price would be adjusted accordingly. Crew (2 guys) was literally on the roof for 10 minutes. Company never invoiced but used my card from the summer work to charge $169 without my consent. Called Kate who was unhelpful and unreasonable. $169 for 10 minutes equates to $1000/hour!! Outrageous. read more

This company took advantage because no one was home. We watched in our cameras around the exterior of our home as they unloaded ladders and spent about 6-7 minutes reloading the ladders. (We did not see anyone actually on any ladders and watched the entire time.) The amount of time from the arrival to the departure was 11 minutes and that's including the time they took to leave an invoice of $245 stating one gutter was clogged and they unclogged it. They charge according to the size of the home - not the job that was completed or the amount of work required. We can not recommend this company and we do not believe they unclogged anything. read more

My house is 3000 sq.ft. and I clean my gutters annually, but never had a gutter cleaning in 5 minutes. 2 guys came, use the ladder and looked into the gutters and told me that everything is clean. No work has been done! $140 for 5 minutes - this is ridiculous! This company took my credit card information in advance and charged the card immediately after the appointment. They may be good at gutter cleaning, however I would not recommend them for snow removal. They charge for the entire season up-front and the quality of their work is poor. To their credit, when I called to complain about the poor quality they did send someone out to do further shoveling (although it was 3 days after the snowfall). But why should I have to call? The sloppy work was readily apparent. Also, they say they will come out at 2 inches however that is not true- we have had that level several times and they never snowed up. And of course, since they already have your money there isn't anything that you can do about it. Lots of others are available for snow - use one of them. read more

If you hire G&S to clean your gutters, more than likely you will end up with a couple of college kids on ladders. I had them clean my gutters for about the past year and half. As a result, one of my downspouts was never cleared, completely blocked off, split and formed an ice dam on my roof over the winter. I ended up having to get my insurance company involved to fix the repairs caused by the damage of this downspout that was never cleared (when the roofers took it off, there was probably two years of leaf debris in it.. you could tell, because the bottom layer was actually decomposing inside of the downspout). I emailed the company about this matter more than a month ago, and (not surprisingly) I have not received any response from them. They did, of course, send me a postcard indicating it was time to get my gutters cleaned again. Since I can't afford to pay a homeowners insurance deductible every year, I ended up going with someone else who actually cleared all my downspouts. UPDATE: Since switching to a gutter cleaner who actually clears all downspouts, I have had zero problems. If you have a super-simple gutter configuration, G&S's college kids can likely figure it out and clear out the debris. Don't expect them to go either above or beyond. read more

I just had the WORST experience with them and will never use them again. After explaining a number of times that I had new floors they had to be careful with and Fresh paint on new walls... The employees showed up, looked at the job like they had no idea what to do, They dragged dirty ladder feet on my new white carpet, ( which I had to clean) they attempted to lay a small bath towel down on the landing which wasn't big enough for the ladder and did not cover a fraction of the carpet, they walked in the wet grass with their boot covers and then proceeded to track water and dirt onto the new wood floors, they couldn't handle the large ladder and it was inches away from smashing a wall light fixture, then they hit my fence with the ladder trying to get it out of the house,..I had them stop and leave the job. Way to risky. The best part is the owner called me to discuss the problems and told me I had to still pay him $120.00 for their time..However both my neighbor and I know they were here barely 20 minutes the owner insisted it was an hour. He was argumentative and had no customer service skills at all. If your house is dump then its probably ok to use them but if you value your property I would find another window service immediately. read more
