I called GH Clark to come by my house to check for possible roof leaks. They sent the big man out and he assured me that the roof was okay and that it may be a humidty type issue. After searching for months to find someone that would repair our roof, we received a recommendation to contact G.H. Clark and one other company. G.H. Clark responded within 24 hours. A month later, I still haven't heard from the other company. The estimation process was relatively painless, and the estimate was received about a week after the site visit. I was told it could be up to 6 weeks before I heard from the scheduler, due to their current workload. However, I was contacted on a Friday about 2 weeks later and was told that Monday had opened up for them and that a truck with the materials was already on its way to my property. Since they didn't need anyone home when the work was performed, I agreed. When I got home from work on Monday, the job was done. There was still some debris in the yard, but they did a really good job of cleaning up. I haven't found a single nail on the ground, yet. There were 30 MPH wind gusts the day of the job, so I'm surprised there wasn't more trash scattered around my 7 acres. (I'm also surprised I didn't find roofers scattered around my place!) These guys are the only ones that I use. They stand by their work one hundred percent! I had them install new windows in my house five years ago and they were very professional and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves. We recently called them out again because our kitchen window lost it's seal and became foggy. They got right on it and replaced it absolutely at no cost to us! A few weeks ago we noticed a water mark in one of our bedrooms. We called them out to look at it and they found out we had a problem on our roof. Instead of recommending we replace the whole roof they made repairs saving us hundreds of dollars! They are an unapologetic Christian family run company that won't sell you anything you don't need and do all work right the first time. We needed a new roof and were not pressed for time, so thankfully I was able to do my homework. Gill H. Clark and his company we the first to respond and the best price for the options I wanted. They even worked with my neighbor who wanted similar work. Their crew showed up on them, worked tirelessly throughout the day and cleaned up after the job was completed like they were never there, which is hard for roofing work. Gill cam by to even inspect afterwards and called me to ensure I was satisfied. I will gladly pay more for an honest, reputable contractor that will at least call you back. So glad this time I can pay less for better service and workmanship. I will be using them from now GH Clark from now on. read more

After previously having a great experience with this contractor, we chose to call them for a gutter cleaning. When we called, we were told the ticket would be sent to the team who would conduct the work, and we would be notified in advance via email and possibly via phone regarding what date they would be available, so them showing up shouldn't be a surprise to us. After more than a week, we still hadn't been contacted in any way by the work team (no email, no phone call). We realized that spring debris from a nearby oak tree was still to fall, so decided we would call back in a few weeks to see about getting on their schedule. Earlier this week, I left a meeting at work to find that I had a voice mail from GH Clark informing me that they were heading to my house and would be there in 30 to 45 minutes unless they heard back from me. This put them (strange men) at my house at the same time my teenage children were arriving home from school, and meant they would unexpectedly be home around strangers without a trusted adult - something that would concern any parent. Literally at the same time I was listening to the voicemail, my child called me as he arrived home from school concerned that there were strange men at our house on my roof. When I arrived home a short while later, it was to find that the men had departed - and had left leaves from the gutters on the ground around my house, including in our outdoor pond killing several of our fish. The next day, I called the office to voice my concerns, wanting nothing more than to be told I'd be given more notice next time and that next time the workers would not leave debris in my pond or otherwise harm my animals. I initially spoke with the receptionist (?), and she passed me on to her supervisor who turned out to be her mother. Full disclosure here before I continue, I am aware I have a potty mouth. I used an impolite word, which I immediately followed with an apology for the language when speaking with the first woman. The second woman I spoke with probably heard a bit more cursing - for which I did not immediately apologize. When attempting to explain my issues for the second time to this new individual, she would not allow me to speak and kept interrupting me. By the time I finally gave up on trying to voice my concerns and disconnected, she was on quite a roll, talking over me and insisting that her workers had done me a favor. I'm perfectly aware that this contractor is a business - businesses are created to make money, not to do people favors... The sudden change in plans, contrary to the nice office-lady's.. um... tutelage, was due to the desire to stay busy and continue to make money. And I suspect my home was not too far from wherever their last appointment of the day was located. While I can and do appreciate that my gutters are clean and undamaged, I do not appreciate the lack of notice (which put my children in a position I was not comfortable with), the lack of care regarding where they tossed the gutter debris (which ended up killing things in my pond), nor their poor customer care when I called to let them know. I'll be needing a roof replacement soon, and had been considering contacting this contractor for the work. This experience had made me realize I need to look elsewhere. read more

G H Clark are who we go to when we want a project done right the first time. We have had many jobs done by them over the years and have been please with the results every time. The most recent job was to get a leaking roof repaired. They realized the time sensitive nature of the job and went out of their way to get it done before the next batch of bad weather. From start to finish everyone involved was super nice and very professional. Everything was done on time and at a fair price. The way we look at it is this way: If you have a complex repair you need done on your car do you take it to a regular mechanic or to the dealer where the experts for that problem are. I had a leak around my second story window and some other miscellaneous repair work that needed to be done. Was difficult to find someone since it was too big a job for a regular handyman and too small a job for a big name company. I was recommended this company by a friend who had some roofing work done recently. Gil came out to do an estimate and clearly explained all work that needed to be completed and how long it would take. Even though the water damage was more than expected, Gil and his crew kept me updated about everything that was going on and even sent pics of the progress. All repair work was done in a very professional manner for a reasonable price. Gil Clark and crew lived up to their excellent social media reviews. My job was out of the ordinary, a "doozy" of a roof, according to Marcella, the accounts manager. There were 70 squares to cover, two chimneys to flash, seven skylights to replace, and countless ridges and valleys, not to mention a free-standing screen porch. The job was done in 2 days, as promised. The crew took great care to avoid damage to lawn and shrubbery around my narrow, looping driveway, which made access difficult. Gil personally installed the skylights, probably the trickiest part of the operation. Cleanup was quite thorough; in the 2-1/2 weeks since completion I have found only 5 nails on the ground, of the thousands that came off the old roof. The first rain did reveal a bit of leakage around one of the chimneys (caused by caulk that had not adhered properly due to excessive moisture -- unavoidable, as they had worked in a light rain the last hour of the job). As expected, Gil showed up the next day and personally fixed the problem area. The next rain found everything tight as a drum. And the price was far below what was bid by a big-name, highly advertised regional home improvement company, for the exact same specifications. Thanks, guys. Great work. read more
