I have a Levitt built Colonial House in Bowie, MD that had the original wood windows from 1964. The…read morewindows were in bad shape, hard to open, and extremely drafty. Some of the bottom sill and brick molding around the windows was rotted and needed to be replaced. I wanted all 22 wood windows replaced with Revere Berkshire Elite double hung windows. Joe Dixon, my immediate contact from Newbrook, made a great design suggestion for the bank of windows in the living room and dining room (he suggested using one giant horizontal slider at each location instead of three double hungs separated by mullions, as they were originally). From my initial contact with Newbrook until the job was complete, everything went extremely smooth. After my initial contact with them, Joe came to the house and provided a written estimate. He also brought window samples. The window model I purchased (Revere Berkshire Elites double pane) are well known for their energy efficiency (better than Energy Star standards) and modern design (very thin frames which equate to a higher visible glass area). Once my wife and I agreed that Newbrook presented the best value after mulling it over several days, we provided a deposit and signed on the dotted line. From that point, about one week later a very professional gentleman (Carlos) from the installation crew came out and measured all of the windows. Subsequently, the window installation happened approximately 5 weeks after this. Carlos, the same individual who measured the windows, showed up to head up the installation. Speaking of the installation, I had done quite a bit of research on the proper way to install vinyl replacement windows. In fact, I obtained the installation instructions directly from Alside (the window manufacturer, parent company of Revere). I was very happy with the installation - the windows were a nice, snug fit in the existing framing. Low expanding foam was inserted around all gaps, the caulking was high quality and aesthetically pleasing, and the aluminum capping was to spec. They also replaced the rotted wood as promised prior to capping. The crew cleaned the inside and outside of every window prior to leaving and left no trash behind. I should also mention that both Joe and his partner, Dermott (the owner of Newbrook) came to my house during the install and inspected the installation as it was unfolding. The windows look fantastic - many times better than the original wood windows. I can already tell that the house is better insulated now - I adjusted the thermostat up 3 degrees and it only took about 20 minutes for the temperature to raise (it was about 40 degrees outside) - previously, it would take about 45 minutes to accomplish this. In summary, Newbrook has been a pleasure to deal with. No sales gimmicks - they gave me a great price right from the start without the hassle of negotiation. The installation is high quality, and the reputation of the window manufacturer (Alside) is something that can depended on (they've been in business since 1947, so if I ever have a warranty issue, chances are they'll still be around to take care of it). I attached four pictures of the front of my house. On one picture, the top windows have been replaced but the bottom windows have not. On the second picture, the bottom windows have been replaced. However, the capping and installation aren't complete. The third and fourth pictures show the windows after everything was completed.

So we had a leak in the roof the next morning we started calling roofers and Superior was the first to answer the phone. Bill came over and looked at the roof and told us we needed a new roof, we told home to give us a price and we would send it to the insurance. I contacted the insurance company they sent a guy out he went up on the roof and did his thing said he would write up his report and get back to us. Later that afternoon we received a call and insurance was paying for the roof there was lots of wind damage. We called bill and he came over we signed a contract, it was over a week before he started he called said a crew would be here in the am to put the new roof on. The next morning they were here at 0730 placed tarps around the whole house then tore all the old shingles and paper off replaced with new synthetic underlayment and Lifetime shingle. At 1830 they were finished with the roof they came back the next morning to clean up. Hopefully they got most all the nails out of the yard. They did have to take the dish off the roof after taking the single off and then a few minutes after they put it they replaced it I had the same signal I thought I was going to have to have the dish people come and realign it but all was good. Give bill a call see what he can do for you.

A month later, I still haven't heard from the other company. The estimation process was relatively painless, and the estimate was received about a week after the site visit. I was told it could be up to 6 weeks before I heard from the scheduler, due to their current workload. However, I was contacted on a Friday about 2 weeks later and was told that Monday had opened up for them and that a truck with the materials was already on its way to my property. Since they didn't need anyone home when the work was performed, I agreed. When I got home from work on Monday, the job was done. There was still some debris in the yard, but they did a really good job of cleaning up. I haven't found a single nail on the ground, yet. There were 30 MPH wind gusts the day of the job, so I'm surprised there wasn't more trash scattered around my 7 acres. (I'm also surprised I didn't find roofers scattered around my place!) I hope to work with them again in the future!

In less than 24 hours, the OWNER came out to inspect our roof. We were floored! It wasn't a front line employee, but the actual business owner who says he reviews every estimate before it reaches the client to ensure that it has his seal of approval. When Bob arrived, he was warm and mild mannered...not a pushy salesman, lazy technician, or sketchy contractor trying to pull the wool over your eyes. He took the time to explain his assessment in detail, without being overly technical, but expressed the professionalism one would expect with such a huge investment. When he followed up with us, the report clearly reflected an honest appraisal and his integrity could not be outdone by ANY of the other roofing specialist that we received estimates from (one should always shop around for this very reason). As with anything, you get what you pay for. RRH Associates is fair in price, but yet you are treated as if you were spending twice as much because they truly care about the client and take pride in their reputation and quality work. If all owners/managers/directors took as much care, diligence, and attention to detail as this company, I truly believe that home owners wouldn't have to fear and be as skeptical to the magnitude that we have become over hearing such horror stories from others. I am so grateful for the service they provided to us and I hope that others will trust their homes to this outstanding company!
