Less than a year ago GIS put in a whole new bathroom, shower and closet. Cost = $40,000. But, the bathroom came out very nice. I recently had a few problems. I was a bit of a pain as a client so, I wasn't sure how eager they'd be to come back. But, I gave it a shot and about a week later, EVERYTHING is fixed. They're not the cheapest game in town and I suspect Tony may have been a politician in a previous life. LOL! But, he is a man of his word. Just look at the photos of my slick bathroom!

No more wood paneling in this good looking kitchen.

Thanks to Tony, David and the crew of GIS Contracting Company for completing renovations on our kitchen, dining room and replacing our kitchen cabinets. GIS was very responsive to the initial inquiry and first home visit to discuss our ideas. They were very transparent about costs and things to consider for our project to keep us within our budget. Tony, David and crew offered small suggestions and ideas before and throughout the project that really made the initial vision even better! The entire kitchen was a custom build from the cabinets to the dining room shelving and storage.  Each team member that came into our home treated us and our property with the upmost respect and courtesy. We were impressed that each crew member that was sent into our home to do a job, did that job very professionally, thoroughly and with a great deal of pride in the job they completed. Each person made sure to clean up the work area before leaving each day. Very pleased with all of the work the crews completed. The only challenge was that Tony and /or David did not always notify us when a person or persons would not be working in our home on a specific day. While the day to day communication could have been better, Tony and David were responsive in returning calls and texts. The job turned out very BEAUTIFUL -- just like Tony said it would :) The crew members did a marvelous job on the project.   Thank you very much Tony, David and the crew of GIS Contracting Company for completing the project of renovating our kitchen and dining room. We were very pleased with the completed job. The entire kitchen was a custom build from the cabinets to the dining room shelving and storage. GIS really brought our vision to life! Show quoted text

I needed to convert an old closet into a professional voiceover booth. Tony was super easy to work with, and took all of my considerations into account. The booth was built with "decoupled" walls, filled with acoustic insulation and finished out with a heavy acoustic door. The end result is a fantastic booth, exactly what I was looking for. Hats off to Tony and his crew for doing a FANTASTIC job!

We had an Excellent experience with G.I.S plumbing...not only did they actually answer the phone, but they were able to make it to our house the next day! They were servicing over 15 homes per day after the snow storm. They were courteous & experienced...they had a crew to figure out the problem. Fixed it...we had running water in an hour! They were very help! They will be coming back to repair drywall after they get as many people as they can up & running with water.

I finished a bathroom remodel with Koren and Daniel in March 2025. The process of getting there was painful in terms of communication and steering, but at least the shiny new bathroom they initially delivered was not bad. However, in September 2025 the shower tiles started popping out of the floor. I texted them and they had to come in and replace it. Okay maybe it was a one-off. But then less than a year later, by April 2026 the *replaced* tiles started popping out again. I tried dealing with it myself with tile glue, but other tiles kept popping out. I texted them again in August, and this time they said that they stand behind their work for only one year from the original project date, and I need to pay $1200 if I want them to fix it. Notice that it hasn't been 1 year even from the replacement date. It's really not worth it. Go with the slightly more expensive contractor they will do the job right once and for all.

The contract was to insulate and drywall our detached garage, including R-30 wall and attic insulation, which we paid for in full. Unfortunately, their subcontractor installed R-15 insulation in the walls instead of the agreed-upon R-30. The attic was also only partially insulated. Because the attic was difficult to access, I asked the company to provide pictures showing the completed insulation. They sent me photos claiming to show our attic, but the pictures were actually of someone else's attic. I did not discover this until later, when an HVAC company was working in our attic and showed me pictures confirming that the insulation was only partially installed. This was not simply poor workmanship--it was misleading and dishonest. We paid for work that was not completed according to the contract, and we were given pictures that did not even show our property. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. Be extremely careful and verify the work yourself before making any final payment.

They've also reviewed and removed the subcontractors as I've been told. While some things couldn't be undone, I can appreciate their willingness to make it right. The bathtub in our rental property was in desperate need of repair after our tenant moved out (see…read morethe before pictures I've posted). I didn't have the budget to do a complete renovation so I got onto Yelp to find a reasonably priced company that would do a decent job resurfacing. Out of all the companies I contacted, Jose was the first person to respond to my request for a quote (he reached out to me in an hour or so). I read a review on here that says he does the classic "under promise and over deliver." I completely agree. He gave me a quote, but warned me it could be higher if they found some issues when they dug into the work. Thankfully we had none of those issues! We nailed down the scheduling over text, which for me is the most convenient way to schedule these kinds of things. He was very communicative when he needed to change the schedule by a day. Also, he was incredibly polite, professional, and attentive in all my interactions with him. They did the job in about 4 hours and I was blown away by how nice it looks. Not only did he fix the cracks and holes in the tub, but he also removed an outdated metal bar (for handing washcloths) and completely restored the tile around the top of the tub. The whole bathtub started as a dingy yellowed thing, and now gleams in a beautiful white color. Again, see the after pictures I posted. After they finished, Jose verbally went over how to care for the tub with me, and then he emailed me written instructions as well. In addition to that, Jose also gave me suggestions for replacing the hardware in the shower (you'll notice in the pictures there's no shower head or water handles...those are coming soon:). I highly recommend Jose and All Surface Renew. When it comes time to resurface the tub in my other property, I'll be contacting Jose again!

But I shot over a picture to All Surface, they said they could handle it, they refinished it, and it literally looks like it rolled straight out of the factory (and for roughly 1/4th the price of a replacement). The work is perfect, communications great, the price for the amount of work is very fair, and we are thrilled with the end result. These guys get 5 out of 5 with no need to round up ... I'd give 'em a 6 out of 5 if I could :-)
