I'm writing this review on behalf of my family, and we just want to express how satisfied and grateful we are for the work that's been done in our home. We initially reached out to GIS because my engagement party was being held at my family's home, and we needed the interior repainted. We also decided to replace the outlets for a fresher look. Tony and Mark were the ones who came out to get everything started, and the inside looks absolutely beautiful now! After the party, we decided to take things a step further and have the wood flooring in our living room replaced to match the rest of the house. Once again, Tony, Mark, and their team were incredible, fast, detail-oriented, and so professional. The attention to detail during both the removal and installation of the flooring really stood out. During that project, my grandmother mentioned a few floorboards in her bedroom that had started to buckle. When Mark came to inspect, he discovered moisture beneath the boards and immediately walked us through all possible scenarios. Together with Tony, he helped us find a solution and identified that the issue came from a window that hadn't been properly sealed, allowing water to leak inside. While that was unexpected, we were so thankful for their honesty and transparency throughout the process. Once the window, wall, and flooring were repaired, her room has never looked better! We also had the inside and outside of our fireplace redone, which looks amazing, along with refreshed caulking in both bathrooms that really gave the spaces a clean, updated look. Every project completed by Tony, Mark, and the rest of the GIS team has been superb. They're incredibly communicative, always keeping us updated on progress, timelines, and next steps. They've been patient in answering every question, quick to send detailed proposals for new projects, and most importantly, consistent in delivering quality, beautiful work. Contractors & Small Businesses -- Read This Before Working With GIS Contracting LLC My HVAC company was subcontracted by GIS Contracting LLC, owned by Tony Gomez, to do the mechanical work at the Williamson County Bagel Shop. We completed the job in full, on time, and under a signed contract. After the work was done, Tony Gomez and GIS Contracting LLC refused to pay the remaining $13,600 they owe us. Repeated invoices, calls, and emails have been ignored thill this day 08/14/25. This is not just bad business -- it's a breach of trust that hurts local contractors who show up, do the work, and expect to be paid what was promised. If you're a contractor, supplier, or business owner, think twice before working with GIS Contracting LLC or Tony Gomez. Get every protection in writing, and be prepared to enforce it. Wanting to ensure to send this review on this company. Very bad company, not sure how they would still be in business. This company charged my 160k for a 80k job. And then he threatened me when I wrote a bad review. Well not this time. Stay very clear of this company, there are plenty of good contractors out there that I know and I'd be happy to share this with you. Bathroom remodels don't cost 40k, they cost 10k, if you get a 40k quote that means, 30k goes to the contractor. Don't ever pay that. read more

Consumer Beware! I hired GIS Contracting LLC owned by Tony Gomez to repair water damage in the master bath, closet and adjacent bedroom and closet. What started out promising quickly took a turn for the worse. His crew would often not show up and when they did, were sloppy, messy and never cleaned-up after themselves. I even had to make them pick-up dozens of cigarette butts left in my yard. Then I noticed needless shortcuts, like piecing boards together rather than using full boards. They measured my vanity wrong so it didn't fit and their solution was to nail a piece of trim to cover up the gap. They overcharged me $579.89 for a closet organizer. Mr. Gomez had given me a quote to re-do my shower and I made a down payment; however, after the shotty work they did and over charged me, I decided to not use him for the shower. I was assured my down pay would be refunded along with the overcharge totaling $2,744.89. Mr. Gomez has refused to refund my money and has ghosted me. I have a vanity that doesn't fit, isn't completely stained, drawers that don't close and no drain in the sink. Walking on the carpet they installed sounds like paper crinkling. Not sure what's under the carpet? My garage (which they used as their work area) was left in shambles and filthy. Steer clear of this scammer! Tony Gomez is unethical and unscrupulous. read more

Less than a year ago GIS put in a whole new bathroom, shower and closet. Cost = $40,000. But, the bathroom came out very nice. I recently had a few problems. I was a bit of a pain as a client so, I wasn't sure how eager they'd be to come back. But, I gave it a shot and about a week later, EVERYTHING is fixed. GIS was very responsive to the initial inquiry and first home visit to discuss our ideas. They were very transparent about costs and things to consider for our project to keep us within our budget. Tony, David and crew offered small suggestions and ideas before and throughout the project that really made the initial vision even better! The entire kitchen was a custom build from the cabinets to the dining room shelving and storage.  Each team member that came into our home treated us and our property with the upmost respect and courtesy. We were impressed that each crew member that was sent into our home to do a job, did that job very professionally, thoroughly and with a great deal of pride in the job they completed. Each person made sure to clean up the work area before leaving each day. Very pleased with all of the work the crews completed. The only challenge was that Tony and /or David did not always notify us when a person or persons would not be working in our home on a specific day. While the day to day communication could have been better, Tony and David were responsive in returning calls and texts. Buyer Beware: Price Gouging at a laughable rate. Honestly they seem to be looking for first time home buyers, Californians who they think will pay exuberant prices, etc. I had them give me an estimate, for a small but professional project of removing a 8ft long quarter wall and replacing it with railing. I would also be providing the materials. Their quote $13,500.00. These guys have to be high. I called just to make sure that wasn't a typo. After they confirmed that was the correct price and that they are indeed high (joking, I don't think they were actually high, who knows though). I decided to go with another company. Tip for GSI: - you gotta at least be competitive in your market. If I have 4 companies send in quotes and 3 are around 3k-4K range and you guys come in at around 14k with material provided that looks bad. -With Yelp and Google, each companies work and reviews are visible to the public. It is hard to justify why your work would be 10k more when we can see the quality of past projects -give these guys some sales training, honestly. It's a bit insulting to a customers intelligence listening to someone try to convince you why the repaint is what justify the 10k difference and sets you apart from competitors. - if you guys don't have the bandwidth for the project, just simply say you can't help at this time. It will most likely pan out better then saying "I'm too busy, F it - I'll give 'em a crazy price and if they agree we'll do it" Hope these tips help! read more

Plane and simple the WORST experience I have EVER had with anyone, PERIOD ! Run away ! It's sad I have to give them even 1 star ! They said they would come out, were 1.5 hours late. I called to ensure they would visit. I was told 30 minutes. Another 1.5 hours, 2nd guy calls. Tony is sick, I can help. OK, I tell him I need a repair. OHHHH I though this was a bid, I don't do repairs. Let me see what I can do. Mind you, it's my birthday and it was spent wasted waiting on them. Another 1.5 hours, we can't get out there today, how about in 3 days. They come out, I told them EXACTLY what was wrong. They take a look, oh we were just at Home Depot, had I known, I would have grabbed that part. I have some supplies to drop off and can be back in 2 hours. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RETURN MY CALLS !!! Then, my leak went from minor to a little worse. Took 4 more days to get someone else out here to fix it. Then screwing me over took a $225 repair into a $1,000 deductible for home insurance to repair water damage, it will now take 2 weeks for my home to get back to normal !!! Hate these guys is NOT EVEN close to what I think of this company ! Unprofessional !! Did not walk in with masks on either !! These were the ONLY people I have had not wear masks. Recently asked GIS contracting to help with the removal of a wall in the garage. They were very quick to respond and provide a quote. In less than two weeks, they had removed the wall and some old gas pipes that were no longer used. The team made the wall look great, and cleaned the garage well after finishing. For the sake of clarity and to provide additional evidence: Completed the opening of the attic door through another vendor -- the job was completed with the highest level of consideration/quality. The entire job took 5 hours -- started at 10 am, with a one hour lunch break, the job was completed by 4 pm. Cost: $800. Doing the math: $800/5 = $160 per hour sounds reasonable at least. With GIS quote: $1800/5 = $360 per hour. I would leave this to the prospective clients to decide if this is reasonable and that the services offered by GIS is "not for everyone". read more

We had an Excellent experience with G.I.S plumbing...not only did they actually answer the phone, but they were able to make it to our house the next day! They were servicing over 15 homes per day after the snow storm. They were courteous & experienced...they had a crew to figure out the problem. Fixed it...we had running water in an hour! Disappointing as I reached out multiple times for an estimate but never received. Tony visited on a Thursday to view the project and said he could probably have the estimate to me either that same day or the next. I originally contacted Tony & David to help remodel our upstairs bathroom to maximize it's space (removing two doors, putting in a pocket door, and adding a walk-in shower). They put together a very detailed quote within 24 hours, which included finding our unique shower glass door. At the time, we had a different contractor in the process of upgrading our kitchen. However, his work lacked precision/attention to detail, became very difficult to work with, and stopped showing up to work in general. Tony & David came to our rescue! They added to our bathroom quote the work to help redo the poor work of the other contractor, and made the kitchen we had envisioned. As someone who learned with our first contractor, you get what you pay for. I felt that GIS' prices were fair for the quality of their work, and work ethic. This is the second project Tony, his son Mark, and the rest of his crew have done for us and it won't be the last. For this project, we wanted new cabinet faces and a paint job for our kitchen, and a tub to shower conversion for our master bath. Both jobs turned out beautiful and were completed on time. There were a few hiccups along the way, but what remodeling project doesn't have some. With that being said, Tony handled them professionally and we figured them out. A real standout was Regal, who did an amazing job with the tile in the shower. He has really clean lines and an eye for detail. He made the shower look exactly how we envisioned it and now it's like a five star hotel. Mark, Tony's son, is a great successor to the GIS brand, and couldn't be a nicer guy. I would highly recommend Tony to anybody. He is honest, fair and professional. At first I couldn't afford Tony's bid. But after talking to him about it and splitting up the work and materials we came up with a mutually agreeable contract. He was really easy to talk to and that helps immensely. I really liked that he showed up in a mask and it took a little longer than expected because of Covid. Not only was Tony easy to communicate and work with, his crew did an outstanding job. If I could give 6 stars I would. Tony and his team were amazing. I hired GIS to convert a sunken bonus room into a self-contained studio apartment with a full-size bathroom and kitchenette. I received many quotes and GIS was really competitive. The plumbing work was quite extensive but Tony's team was very knowledgeable and professional in keeping informed every step of the way. I'm a home owner with very little skill or time in maintaining a home. Tony provided the skill and patience with me in upgrading my home the way I wanted it. I would highly recommend G.I.S Contracting to anyone needing home repairs or upgrades. They repaired my roof, removed carpeting and installed laminate flooring, painted, installed fencing (removed the old one), and installed a French drain in my back yard which alleviated standing water. GIS Contracting did extensive remodeling work on our home in late 2017. There were some red flags early on, but things seemed to be going well enough and we had already paid the deposit up front so that we continued with the project anyways. Unfortunately, things only got worse. Their work ended when we confronted them with a list of things that needed to be fixed or finished and they refused to come back out, saying that with the remaining amount we owed them (less than $1,000) we could get someone else to finish. We made several attempts to talk to them to reach a resolution until the company owner, Tony Gomez, stopped responding. We finally were able to hire an attorney to try to recover some of our losses. After a long and drawn-out legal process, we have come away with nothing. Mr. Gomez' settlement offer was for them to come out and repair some things (a partial list of the items they did wrong) themselves. We were willing to accept this without them even covering any of our legal fees (which have greatly added up) if they would agree to do the repairs under the supervision and meet the approval of a certified structural engineer that we would hire and pay for (again they did not want to pay for this service so we were willing to pay for it ourselves). They refused to do that, so because we can't afford to continue with legal action we decided it would literally be better to get nothing than to have GIS do any work on our house again. That's how bad their work was. Below is (an abbreviated) list of problems from the work GIS did on our house: * from the certified structural engineer's written report after evaluation of where GIS added concrete to make our porch all one level and add a portico: "The porches have no footings and are founded at grade. As a result of the this, the porches have settled and caused damage to the framed structure of the house and to the other, existing portions of the front porch (spalling concrete and cracks in the porch slab). These porches will continue to settle and will not perform as intended. Continued damage to the home may result due to the poor quality of the concrete flatwork. The concrete slab was also poured against bare framing of the north renovated garage area, and the settlement of the slab has caused a gap to exist with an opening into the wall cavity. The area should have been flashed and have solid sheathing below the lap siding. As constructed, the sheathing/concrete interface will allow water to enter the interior of the home." * Mortar between stone at front posts began cracking/crumbling away within a week or two of it being done and at least two of the stones are completely detached now. * a leak in the flashing around the chimney GIS installed was discovered in November 2018 when we went into the attic and saw water pooled up around the chimney in the attic. The portico soffit was not given any ventilation and because it is an addition that is not connected to the attic space, it has zero ventilation. It is now sagging, which we suspect is due to the lack of ventilation leading to moisture build-up. * The tile was grouted with a color other than what we had selected. No moisture barrier, membrane, or coating of any kind was used to prevent cracking and tile shifting despite repeated requests and written instructions asking them to do so. A broken tile and areas with cracking grout appeared within a year. * During construction inside the house the A/C unit inside started leaking, puddling up in the return and draining into the hallway. They were tearing down drywall, breaking up concrete, sanding joint compound, etc.... and never masked off the hallway where the A/C return plenum is. After this, we had problems with the A/C leaking for the next 4-5 months until we had it repaired by someone else. Additional drywall damage in the bathroom resulted from the A/C leaking. * fireplace surround was not properly secured to the wall and poorly constructed. the mantle was made with a single sheet of pine that was twisted and cupped, and had 6 large knots that were left unfilled. * Window casing installed with ¼" gaps, allowing hot/cold air to flow through. * Some trim was installed so poorly that we told them it was unacceptable and to redo it. They said it was because the walls were so uneven, as though it would be impossible to fix. Some doors were trimmed with pieces of mismatched trim. * None of the wood knots were sealed on the exterior before they painted the pine so within 6 months all the knots had bled through. *Part of gutters dismounted; others leak. Downspouts on the back of the house do not aim the water run-off away from the house *We did not receive, even upon asking, verification that electrical work was done by properly licensed workers At this point we just hope that by sharing our experience, others won't get screwed over the way we were. I reached out to G.I.S because they did some work for me in 2020. I needed to get a cabinet resized for a new oven that was slightly larger than the cut-out. They said it would cost nearly $9,000 to simply raise the cabinet up slightly. I was floored at this quote that was clearly inflated. I had two other companies quote me between $800 and $1,300. I ended up getting the job done for under $1,300 and it looks great. I won't be reaching out to G.I.S in the future for any work. read more

Tony and his crew were amazing and built me a custom closet storage solution exactly to my specifications. The closet space was super weirdly configured, but he and his guys worked with me to make sure they maximized storage space, gave me a rack to hang my long dresses, and even gave me ADJUSTABLE shoe shelves. From quote to completion of the project, Tony made sure I was happy and was constantly ready to go above and beyond to make sure the closet was perfect. He even gave me tips on what paint to use because I wanted to paint it all myself. 10/10 recommend GIS Contracting for any custom cabinetry, shelving, carpentry, or renovation projects! read more

Tony and his G.I.S. team did a great job removing our old countertop and installing our apron front farmhouse sink! It was not a routine job and several other contractors I contacted for quotes would not even consider the job once they learned it would involve altering the existing kitchen island. The large/over-sized sink required extensive reinforcement that the G.I.S. team framed up nicely. Once the new countertop is delivered and installed I will post pictures of the final results. The G.I.S. team was professional and easy to work with. It is difficult to find a good contractor that can do it all (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.).
