This is a long review, but if you are considering hiring this company, it is worth the read. Let me start by saying I have had bad experiences in the past with contractors cutting corners and skimping on quality. So for my siding replacement, I did a lot of research. I started by listing only elite preferred James Hardie installers with the highest ratings. From there I cross-checked them on Google and Yelp, and this narrowed the list to six. Had them all come out to see the project, asking detailed questions about every facet of installation including my particular concerns re longevity, functionality and aesthetics. Three gave bids almost double that of the other three. Of the three that remained, I felt Joe Jaimes with Premium best understood my goals and had the experience to execute a quality job. My goals were to eliminate the ongoing expense of maintaining wood siding without compromising the home's historic integrity. Essentially, I was looking for a detail-oriented custom approach to the job. I was not an easy client. I know every inch of this house, and I asked LOTS of questions before and during the project. In addition to working with Joe, I also asked for the owner Frank's contact info. I wanted to ensure I had multiple people to reach out to in the event something went wrong. Joe and Frank were without fail committed to doing the right thing every time, even if it meant the job would take a little longer with no extra profit for them. Any possible changes to the price were discussed in advance of the project, and in the end the final price was more than fair-- they did not try to nickel and dime me at all. Also, because I was intent on preserving its historic look, the bay window especially needed a custom approach. As you can see in the photos, the work is beautiful. Curved cuts along the bay roof and angled cuts at the bottom. If you want a job that looks custom and high end, these are your guys. FYI if you are able to take time off during the project, it helps a lot to be on site, especially when walls are exposed and decisions need to be made ASAP. If not, have strong communication with Joe and you should be fine. My communication with the crew leader was not as good, but Joe took charge and everything went exceptionally well. Finally, if you are a woman and the decision maker on projects, you have probably dealt with at least one contractor who was dismissive or condescending. Joe and Frank treated me with the utmost respect and really listened to my concerns and questions; in fact questions were encouraged and thoughtfully answered. In short, I would absolutely hire them again and have already referred them to neighbors and clients (I'm a realtor). read more

I just had a highly satisfactory experience with this company. From the very first day, when Efrain "Frank" Jaimes came to give me an estimate for applying Hardie board to my house, I was pretty sure his company was going to be "the one". Frank can explain every aspect of the process to a slab of granite! I had many questions about the Hardie board product as well as about terms I was not completely sure of (soffit, fascia, what prep work was involved, things like this) which he explained in extensive detail but in language i could clearly understand. He would not allow me to sign the contract until I understood each of its 21 points. There was zero pressure to sign with his company. He wanted to make sure I felt completely comfortable with my decision and asked me to take a few days or a week to think things over. His first crew were so hard working, most of the work being done in cold weather, 20's to 30's most days. Total cleanup daily. I've never found a single nail. Pulling off the old siding board then perfectly applying and caulking siding was a continuous efficient process. The on site crew manager communicated very well. Frank stopped by at least every other day to check on the job and to check in with me. The crew even boxed in the utility meters on the back of the house which gave a neat and polished look to that part of the house, especially when it was all painted. They were very detail oriented. Paint crew---worked like a well oiled machine, these guys. They applied paint so smooth and satiny it went on the siding "like buttah". The paint is a very tried and well tested Sherwin-Williams formula. S-W requires a gallon per each 300m s.f. in two coats. Premium actually applies a gallon to each 150 s.f., thus giving the finish a depth of four coats. Again, they were also detail oriented, checking for thin spots, chinks in the caulking, overspray. Their secretary, C. was a great source of information, too. She is also able to make immediate contact with Frank if she hasn't got a full answer to a question. She won't give customers/callers information unless she understands it completely herself. Like I said, well oiled machine all the way around with this company. I am so proud of my "new" house after years of watching the paint fade and the lower edges of the siding start to rot.This family owned company has impressed me beyond any of my expectations. We recently hired Premium Siding & Painting Company to fully replace the siding & roof on our 50+-year-old, 2-story duplex home in south Austin. Premium did an outstanding job on both projects! Gabriel, the project manager, quoted us great prices for both projects, gave us a three-payment arrangement for the siding project, started the work right away, and finished both projects right on time. We were under insurance requirements to complete the siding work within a tight timeline, and Premium accomplished that - many thanks to the Premium family!!! Gabriel communicated with me daily, promptly resolved all issues that popped up during the siding project, and came by every day to make sure that every step of the work was being done to our satisfaction. Gabriel is awesome - he is so kind, honest, and reliable. The siding work was done by Adrian (team lead), Mario, and Chaparro. They are the very best workers I have ever had work on the house over the past 30 years! Each of them is an exceptional carpenter, pays close attention to every detail, and goes over and beyond. Every day, they meticulously cleaned up the work site before leaving. They made the duplex look brand new, and are super-friendly & easy to work with. The painting team for the new siding was Miguel (team lead), Joel, and Jose, and they did an amazing job. They completed the entire job in only three days and did outstanding work, with no drips and no overlapping of paint colors for the trim and main body of the siding. They also thoroughly cleaned the work site every day. The 5-man roof team an unbelievable amount of work with great skill & high quality, all in one day!!! This included removing the old shingles; replacing weak or leaking boards that were under the old shingles; replacing one of the chimney caps that had some problems; putting new shingles on the huge roof; and thoroughly cleaned up the work before they left. I am thrilled to give Premium Siding & Painting Company my highest recommendation, and would not hesitate to hire them again for any remodeling work. We recently discovered that our newly purchased home had gone through some faulty exterior patching, so we scoured the internet for siding experts. After getting quotes from 4 different companies (do your research, we got quotes with ~$3000 differences), we went with PSP, and I am so glad we did! Frank came to the house to measure (and even re-measure) to ensure he was giving us a fair and accurate quote. He also went over that his team can add metal bracing if it's needed for extra support - something that his competitors didn't offer. When we discovered that the wrong siding was ordered and partly installed, Frank worked with us to correct the issue at a reasonable price. The correct siding was delivered the next morning, and Miguel, the crew leader, was very helpful in making sure everything was what I had wanted before installing everything. I feel like this company truly values their work and customers. Not only are they super communicative, but they really go above and beyond, in my opinion. They let us know that some of our vents, something they don't even handle, might need replacing. They also helped seal some areas that the siding didn't even touch, which was something we weren't expecting, but very grateful for! I interviewed at least 5 siding and paint companies before selecting PSP. Before choosing Frank at PSP, I spoke with 3 of his previous clients and all of them spoke very highly of Frank and his crew. PSP replaced several windows and all of the siding and they painted our house. Our house is on a hill and much of the work surface is 3 stories high. In other words, it was a challenging job. I had lots of questions and concerns and Frank took his time explaining everything to me in detail and he never pressured me to make a decision. Frank is just a pleasure to work with. In fact, the entire crew and staff were a pleasure to work with. How often do you hear that?! The crew cleaned up every day. They were polite and considerate. I actually sort of missed them when the job was done. Let me explain that......the work is difficult and dangerous. To do the job well and be safe, the crew has to work well as a team. There was always a pleasant banter going on. These guys were working their tails off but managed to keep it light, stay safe, have each others back, address my questions AND they did a fantastic job. The team at PSP far exceeded expectations for our home siding project. We were lucky to have Adrian's crew doing carpentry. His team took tremendous pride in their work and treated our home like their own. He'd often tell me "This is your home. I'm going to take care of your home." And he lived up to his promise. He even came out over the weekend to inspect the house mid-project after high winds blew off some temporary coverings. He also found and fixed a pre-existing issue that a prior contractor had gotten wrong. If you work with PSP for your project, definitely ask for Adrian's crew! For painting we worked with Miguel's crew. He also did great work. After the project was done, our neighbors actually mentioned how surprised they were by Miguel and his team's attention to detail and high-quality work. We did have one issue. The crew accidentally dislodged a power line to a set of outlets in our house during the project. That said, as soon as we reported the issue they had an electrician out the same day to get the issue fixed. Joe (sales) and Jennifer (office manager) were also very communicative and quick to respond if we needed anything. I'd highly recommend using PSP for your next project. read more

I used Premium Siding about 3 years ago when I was doing a complete renovation of my house, inside and out. I met with RJ first and loved his warm personality and Fair business sense that I decide to go with them right away. When Efrain and his crew did the work for me (siding and windows), I was extremely impressed with their work ethic, efficiency, and product. In fact, out of all the contractors I used for my renovation, RJ and Efrain were by far the best! Even a year later when RJ happened to stop by and say hello, he made a point of asking if everything was still good. As it turned out, one of the windows had not been repaired for a defect by the company and he made sure they got it done asap. Then 3 years later, Efrain stopped by and asked the same thing! Last summer, I selected PSP to install new siding on my home to replace the very old vinyl siding that was there, and I am so glad I did! When Efrain (Frank) came out to give me an estimate, he was very thorough, and took the time to explain the whole process, and answer all my questions. PSP is a family operated business, and the people working for them have been in the business for many years. The crews he sent out to do the work were fast, efficient, and respectful. They cleaned up my yard each day before leaving. The crew leader, Joe, inspected all the work, and made sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. Besides the siding, they also installed a beautiful glass storm door for me. The paint job on the siding and my garage was excellent. Their office manager, Karina, is very pleasant to deal with. Frank of Premium Siding and Painting is my favorite service professional. He and his team did an amazing job of installing energy efficient windows and sliding doors in my home. Everything related to the installation went smoothly. Then I managed to launch a rock against one of the sliding glass doors with my super delux weedeater that torques up when it senses that it needs more power. The outer window pane of the double-paned panel was completely fractured. Rather than sell me a whole new door, Frank was able to get the manufacturer to build a new panel (just the glass part) to insert into the existing door. A MUCH less expensive fix. And he didn't even want to charge me for labor!! Frank's business has more professional integrity than any other service I've ever dealt with. We hired Premium Siding & Painting to replace a roof and wood siding, paint, and repair dry rot. They also replaced the posts on our front porch with natural cedar. From the beginning of the estimate, Frank was thorough and explained everything in detail. He took the time to look at the project and provider a reliable quote. Their prices were very reasonable for all of the work we were asking for. Once our project was scheduled, the crew showed up on time and did amazing work in every regard. There was attention to detail in all of their work, and his team was able to address every concern or request. The work they did was top-notch, and it is apparent by the results. I got several bids for Austin contractors to complete a full exterior remodel on my duplex property including windows, siding, exterior doors, and gutters. I chose PSP because they had a competitive, detailed bid, and was also a locally owned and operated company. Due to supply chain shortages, windows were backordered for several weeks. Whenever the supplier kept pushing back the delivery date, Jen at PSP communicated with me on a daily basis. The work began right at the end of December, and despite the crew taking their holiday breaks (as they should) they were able to finish in a timely manner. Every morning, the siding crew lead, Adrian, discussed with me any unique obstacles they faced, how he could solve them, and how the final end result would look. Eleven years ago, Premium Siding and Painting replaced my deteriorating siding with Hardy boards and painted my entire house. Excellent job which has stood the test of time. Recently, by accident, I discovered that the city permit they applied for had never been closed and required an inspection before it could be closed or any other permit could be obtained for work on my house. Contacted Premium just to see if they could or would try to help me. Jennifer, the office assistant, responded quickly and insured me they would handle everything and pay for the needed inspection. That inspection was completed recently, and Premium is working to make sure the permit is closed. Wow. I can't believe the dedication and customer service this company exhibits 11 years after a job. We have used Premium Siding and Painting twice. The first time was about 7 years ago while fixing up our fixer upper on the East Side, they replaced our wood siding with Hardie board. They did an excellent job and were lovely to work with. RJ is a wonderful throwback to the day when a deal was done on a hand shake and if you said you were going to do something you did it. We now live in Hyde Park and needed work done on our older bungalow, thankfully I found RJ's card (a minor miracle) and called for an estimate. He is just as lovely now as he was years ago and he and his crew are still doing quality work at a very good price. I cannot recommend them enough, I am not one to normally write reviews but his company deserves high praise and if you are in need of some house repairs they are a good place to start. read more

I really can't say enough good things about RJ and his crew. Our house was desperately in need of being completely resided. It was a big job but we we're obviously on a budget. The bid came in right where we needed it to be ( and well underneath our other bid). We had three layers of siding removed, new studs added where termites had gotten to them, insulation added, OSB added, a couple new windows installed and Hardi-board siding installed and painted. The difference is absolutely incredible. The house was absolutely transformed. The crew kept the area clean and was exceptionally friendly. They worked hard and had the work done in about a week, which is crazy considering how much had to be done. I would recommend them to anyone. We couldn't be happier with the job they did! read more

I have used Premium Siding and Painiting for multiple projects on two different houses over the years. Frank and his crew have done a outstanding job every time. I have found Frank to be both extremely honest and knowledgeable. I initially contacted Frank for a bid to replace wood siding with hardie and replace my windows. Frank's bid was less than the competition. He was not willing to take short cuts and was concerned about doing the job correctly. His crew was quick and professional and the materials used were top of the line( I googled the specific paint used). When I moved Frank was the only person I called. Premium Siding and Painting recently worked on my home, replacing siding and then painting the house. They did detailed prep work, which I appreciated. During that time, they noticed some wooden framing around my chimney stack which needed to be replaced. The carpentry work was exceptional; better built than it was when it was originally built. I used Premium Siding and Paint to remove the old wood siding from my home and put up hardie board siding and paint the exterior. First of all, RJ is a real pleasure to talk to. Super friendly and accommodating. He gave me a good price and the quality of work his crew did was amazing. I was not in town to see the work being done as it was in progress. I just had all new siding and a full paint job done by Premium Siding & Painting and I'm very pleased! From the initial estimate, everything was explained to me and completed in a timely manner. Jenn the office assistant kept me posted on when the work would be done and Frank the project manager made sure things were done correctly. The siding team of Cayo and Hector were efficient and made sure to point out the studs that needed replacing before they did it. The painters Eduardo and Pablo were neat and cleaned up the job site daily, and did a great job on my 80's home - making it look like new! Our 2- story 2600 square foot home was built in 1985. We contracted with Premium Siding and Painting to remove and replace all the original Masonite siding with James Hardie siding, single pane windows with Andersen dual pane Argon energy efficient windows, new sliding patio door, new double entry door and new gutters.
