I go here about ten times a year as I bike into Pottstown on the SRT. Great group of people. Wish they were a little less focused on Fox News, but I take it as a comedy while I eat. Fairly new to the area and we finally decided it was time to stop in for some breakfast. Food: Very good and typical breakfast type food. I had the omelette with home fries - both were great! Location: easy to get in and out of with plenty of parking. Service: prompt and catered to our little guy, which was super nice. This is a small restaurant haunted by a lot of regulars which says good things about the place. They let customers keep their personal coffee cups there. The staff is friendly and always smiling. The food is very down to earth and comforting, albeit a bit expensive. Omelettes do not come with potatoes as they do in most diners although they're priced the same as those that do. There are two quirks that may be important to you. 1. They accept cash only. There is a private ATM in the lobby although I'm sure the owners would let you run to your bank and return with cash if necessary. 2. Do not bring in your travel mug containing coffee, even if you intend to refill it with theirs. Apparently they had some problems with things people were bringing in (it wasn't coffee) in the past and the owners just decided "No outside food or beverage". Very impressed after my first visit! It really is a small unassuming building, but they make good use of the space. Several tables\booths and counter seating. Our timing was perfect Saturday morning and we were seated immediately. We were told by Vickie to sit anywhere we like and were soon greeted by our server Michelle, who took our drink order and went to fill it while we perused the menu. They have a variety of specials available in the menu, and a couple on the chalkboard when you walk in. Prices are great, and the food was very good. I had 2 eggs, hashbrowns, and a choc chip pancake, with a side of rye toast. Everything was delicious! My GF got a couple poached eggs and they came out perfect. Service was fantastic, Michelle was not only nice, but a good server. She checked in on us, filled our coffee\water promptly, even on a busy Saturday. I'd say all of the help there was friendly, and in addition, so were the other patrons we interacted with. Definitely a lot of locals, but for our first time we felt right at home and can't wait to get back! The hashbrowns were delicious! We went here for lunch with my mother in law, kiddos, husband and his grandmother. It was conveniently located for us all. It is small inside but decorated nicely. The food was good. We all enjoyed our meal. I had the egg salad sandwich. It was delicious! Business seems to be doing fairly well. People were coming and going, and people were picking up their to go orders. My girl friend and I are new to the area and decided to try this place for breakfast for the first time since we moved. It is the perfect mom and pop owned breakfast joint. It seems like the staff knew everyone that came in and gave off a very homey and small town vibe. Coming from the south I will give two thumbs up to the biscuits and gravy, very well done. She got a traditional breakfast with eggs and has browns and pork roll which went without a complaint. We will definitely be back every week and becoming regulars. By far my favorite local spot for breakfast. I had the bacon crusted French toast and eggs. The French toast was soft in the middle, had a ton of crunchy bacon on the outside and my eggs were cooked perfectly. This place is cash only and has an atm onsite. Sometimes rude service, depending on the staff that day. Average fare. My wife used to take people from work there for breakfast. They have a decent cheese omlet. A number of times she has been treated rudely and served after "regulars" that came in later than she did. One server is pretty hostile, and since my wife is a very kind, forgiving individual, it took a number of years of this behaviour to get her to decide to not take russian roulette style chances with the staff. Only two of the servers are like this, but there are usually only three on duty at one time! I guess the owners don't notice, since they are usually dealing with the regular crowd at the counter. If you aren't a regular after years of frequenting a business, you might as well go elswhere for average food. read more

The food is solid, though some dishes are a lot better than others, and the prices are extremely competitive. My girlfriend and I have been coming here frequently for the past 2+ years, and I can probably count on one hand the number of times we've spent over $20 on the check, and we always leave stuffed and satisfied. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, and we've never once had a bad experience or seen someone be rude, and that includes the time period before I would have considered us "regulars." It seems like some people leaving previous reviews were turned off by other patrons, which is a shame, but I've never found anything to really complain about here, least of all the friendliness of the staff. It's a tiny little place with not a lot of bells and whistles, but you get a good meal and a lot of food for better than average prices. The service is quick, genuinely friendly and accommodating. This place is great for a weekend breakfast. They have a good selection of food for just about any palate. I have eaten here for breakfast about a dozen times over the last year and a half. The wait staff is fairly friendly, most seem to have been there for years and rarely miss an opportunity to make sure a patron has a good eating experience. One thing to remember: Always hit the ATM before heading there since they only take cash. There are about 10-12 tables and about 10 stools at the counter. At some points in the morning on the weekend you may have to wait for a few minutes since it does have a good turn-out on those mornings. The food is average for a dinner, nothing to jump over, The waitress we had was only there to take our order. She never came back to see if we needed anything else or if everything was good. We had to flag another waitress over to get refills. At the end I was not informed they ONLY take cash. I had my charge card out with the bill and the waitress looked at it and just walked away. I sat there for about 5 minutes before a guy I was with got the waitress's attention. She was very rude about it and said use the ATM out front. However, the lack of instruction to not stand in the waiting room with the others while waiting to be seated, but to instead shove through everyone else and take any empty seat, was the first question mark. After asking and then and only then being told we could sit at a table, we waited. Another couple sat next to us and a waitress took their order first. After looking around obviously perplexed, another waitress came up and took our order. We did receive our food in a timely manner and it was fairly good. The bright side in an otherwise dark story. So then we waited for our check. At some point the waitress came by and we asked and she said "oh I forgot your check!". No big deal, they were busy and things happen, although we already went through a few things so far, but then she never came back. And keep in mind the place is only so big and we were no more than 5 feet away. I went to get up to the counter where she was talking and then she gave me the check, so I went to pay and took out my bank card. This is when I was told "cash only". No where on the entrance door, on the walls, or anywhere else that I could see during our visit was a notice of "cash only". Nor did the waitress think it important enough to mention during this visit to a restaurant in the 21st century. But, wait! A solution! Of course they have an ATM for you to get cash. For a fee that they get a percentage of. How thoughtful to provide this service. Why use credit cards that cost you a fee, when you can charge people a fee to give you cash! To me that is pretty crooked. Will I go back? Certainly not. There are much better places to get equal quality food without the stress and added costs. read more

I've been here two times both times the food was ok . The service is spot on quick by servers with no smile or " O hello what may i get you " unless they know you from what I seen . Tried to go here on a weekend morning, and it was packed (sign of a good diner? maybe, never got the chance to find out), but due to rude customers in the front foyer, we left. We had a "regular" snapping at us for not realizing their "system" is to not have a hostess take names as people arrive and seat accordingly, but rather let it be a clusterf-ck of disorder, as people huddle cramped into the foyer. It seems like it's a "good ol' boys" club, and if you're not a regular, you'll get sub par treatment. Don't plan on giving them a second chance. It'd be a shame if this business lost a customer based on a rude customer who happened to be standing out front, but I can see I am not the only one who got the impression this place caters mainly to their regulars, to the detriment of newcomers... so, forget it. read more

This place is horrible, the service is questionable and the quality of food is horrendous. The waitress stopped in the middle of taking our order to chat with a "regular" and cash them out.
