It was my first time getting a haircut in Claremont and I had found G shop on yelp. I was a bit hesitant but it was all good as Gio greeted me and cut my hair. He took his time cutting my hair and paid close attention to how he was fading my hair, which is great as I am pretty picky on getting a nice smooth fade. I called in at 10:00am that very same morning to make an appointment and I cut my hair at 11:00am. I would highly recommend making an appointment as Gio even expressed his concern on customers having to wait when he has customers walk in at the same time he also has an appointment. It is out of his control and must take appointments as a priority. I believe they are pretty busy on the weekends so I would try to go on the weekdays. Garbage all around. All barbers there are sloth. Don't value customers. They avoid customers on purpose. Whisper and joke about how they don't want to cut customers hair. Very unprofessional. Multiple customers clearly frustrated and walk out because the barbers take about an hour an a half on a buzz cut because all they do is gossip with each other and forget to cut people's hair. Waste of time and money. I get my haircut here every time and this will be the last time I come here because they do not value their customers. Cool inside but that's all they got goin. I've been coming here for two months now and I've always had a perfect haircut and never had a mistake done while having it done, I've tried going to other barbers in the past but these guys are the best barbers I've ever visited. If you make an appointment either a day or two in advance you won't wait that much but you will have to wait a bit if you're just a walk-in. I like that everything is so clean and they have lots of entertainment for you while you're waiting for your turn. It's not close to where I live but I think it's worth the drive to go there. read more

My experience at the G shop has always been outstanding. The G shop is a very well rounded barbershop. They have friendly employees, reasonable prices and most importantly, they are highly skilled at what they do. In regards to wait time, expecting to be seated almost immediately after having walked in is absurd. A trustworthy barber will always have customers and their good work will always be depicted in their extended clientele. Moved into the city lil over a year ago had to find a new barber shop to go to since I didn't want to have to keep driving back to my old barber ran into this spot down the street from my plane an been coming here since I've got haircuts from Alex , Dino I usually make an appointment 1 to 2 days in advance with one of those 2 guys to coins the wait.
