Opened late waiting for 15+ min to open . No answer either. Waste of my time to try a new barbershop

Always tough moving to a new city and trying to find a new barber. So glad I stumbled across this shop. The atmosphere is great, clean, and scheduling on the site is a breeze. They fucked me upp badddd and I got bullied for it . I should have known not to get a cut when a barber was arguing with a mom and son because he gave her son a bad cut. They kicked them out and banned them. While I was sitting in the chair I felt the presence a bad hair cut, although I didn't see it I felt it. I do blame myself for not getting up in time to save my self from a future of insecurities. The cut finished, I looked into the mirror, and instantly I felt a wave of dread and disparity wash over me. Trying to hold in my tears I asked "yo you think you can buzz it off for me, real quick?" because it was truly that bad. As I anticipated, they said no. As soon as my car door closed I instantly started crying. Night had stuck and had multiple panic attacks, Stressing on what the other kids were going to say. I ultimately had to go to school the next day. I arrived at school, making sure I wore a hoodie, didn't help. First nobody notice, well at least I thought. My teacher asked me to take off my hoodie and my heart instantly drop all the way down to china.Had to remove it, had no other choice. My hoodie dropped, Expeditiously laughs filled to room. Tried to hide my head in my hands. Didn't help. Nothing could have drowned out the sound of howling laughter, directed towards me. Next class I was able to pass teacher didn't seem to notice I was wearing a hoodie. Nutrition rolled around, was supposed to be a break, didn't feel like it. Got out my class, hands instantly sweating. Walked over to my friends, well what I at leased thought were my friends. They notice I had a hoodie on. They instantly knew what that ment. One of them pulled my hoodie off and they all started laughing. Their laughs brought attention to me. Then soon other kids started joining in. Asking me "where I got my haircut", "what does your barber do for a living" and sorts of slander. I started crying but they didn't care. I kept putting my hoodie on but they didn't care. I had been always told kids my age can be cruel but I could have never expected this. I am writing this years later after middle school. As for I am now a high schooler. But Still the name Craven A. Betterhaircut follows me. I still have nightmares about this moment. I know their haircuts are still ass because my younger brother got a cut here recently here and they fucked him up. But I do pity him as I too once felt the consequences of getting hair cut here. I can only image the slander he too faces. Slander that will probably be left untold. I got the absolute worst haircut at this failing establishment by "barber" Gabriel. First of all, the guy speaks zero English so communicating with him was already a struggle. Secondly, the haircut he gave me was completely botched (see image)... then he upcharged me when he spent like 15 minute cutting my hair. Never coming back! read more

Never like to leave bad reviews for a small and growing business. However, I believe a bad review should be left contingent on certain factors that justify one. Thought I would give the new barber shop in the area some business as I was new in the area myself also and saw that they were. A kind gesture that took a turn of the worst as tons of red flags from the start that should've kept me away but I was to forgiving. - being haphazard about making an appointment through the online scheduling. I took the initiative of taking the time to call the number provided on yelp number was incorrect so called a 2nd number called both twice no good. Sure first red flag but they finally called back Appointment confirmed great - the day of appointment I come in shops closed and empty. Ben had texted me 5 minutes before my arrival that he wasn't going to make it and he needed to push me back an hour Great I'm already here but sure I'll head home. things happen. I get a call from ben he tells me that he had another client running late from his 9am appointment. I'm his 9:50 so tells me to come back at 10:50. I didn't think much of it and would like to give them a 2nd chance. Here's the worst part and I think any nightmare of a new client at a barbershop I'm already seated ready to go another client shows up who I presume was the one that was running late originally at 9am and he asks me if I'd like to get a cut from his other barber who I didn't account for. I'm not upset that another barber had to give me a haircut cause Mario who had given me a cut was very kind and accommodating. It just wasn't what I expected when I selected Ben through the online booking portal. I'm upset at the poor business practice I experienced today very disappointing as I had high hopes from the reviews I read. read more

Honestly the best decision I've made because I didn't really know what to ask for so I showed Ben some examples on google which was mid fade taper and just a little trim on top.
