BUT with that being said - do yourself a favor, do your hair a favor and come get an experience that you actually remember haha I arrived 10 min early cause I know HOW HARD he is to book. I honestly read some of the negative reviews and didn't understand why he was so hard to book. I am not someone that has ever booked 2 weeks in advance and I've gone to many famous hair salons in Los Angeles/ West Hollywood/ Beverly Hills. Needless to say, I understand why now. I've paid on average $65 for a men's haircut in my 3 years of living in Beverly Hills and today I was literally charged LESS THAN HALF of that price and got a haircut THAT WAS 10X BETTER. Blew my mind and I've had haircuts priced up to $120 which made me LESS HAPPY than the cut I got today. He has a passion for hair. He has a passion for his business which is why I went to him. I saw Cuts by Dro here on Yelp and I decided to give it a try early May (2 months ago) I was a bit hesitant and afraid because there was no walk-ins available, but dude there's a reason why, this guy knows the art of a cut! I have thin hair, so it is challenging for me to find a style, but he understood and gave me a cut that fit me. For the first time I felt I can say, I felt happy with my hair style. The best thing was it grew out nicely that I didn't even need a cut for a month. I came back to see if the results can be reciprocated, he went above and beyond to ensure I had an appointment by setting me up on a day he usually takes off, he took care of me and gave me an even better cut! Honestly. I found my new barber. Someone I can communicate and trust with his art is something I appreciate, especially due to having thin hair. I think he is a talented barber and a good person. Unfortunately, I have to give a negative review as to the nature of his communication with customers and commitment to scheduled appointments which are not satisfactory when it comes to scheduling appointments. Even with the app he uses to schedule appointments he does not seem very committed to keeping those appointments. I scheduled an appointment with him more than a month in advance only for him to make it inconvenient for me by moving my appointment later by 15 minutes. In all fairness he did give close to a week notice of the change, but this unfairly put a burden on me to make it happen and given I experienced traffic from work I ran a little late. He completely blew off my appointment and scheduled someone else without even calling to confirm if I would or wouldn't make the appointment. Consequently, I was stuck without any haircut before I flew out of state for an important meeting. I understand his need for time to ensure a good haircut, but given I was only a few minutes late and called to confirm I was in route it's pretty unprofessional especially given how long I waited for an appointment. Not to mention about an hour drive to see him and I was just canceled with no regard for my time. My time allotted was about an hour for my cut so I don't see the correlation where it would negatively impact his ability to cut my hair very much. Word to the wise: If you have a schedule don't plan on a commitment to your time here. Additionally, I would have a back up plan if he schedules in another person over your time slot. He is talented, but professionalism to your time and a commitment to your allotted time isn't being honored here. Especially if your counting on a haircut made a month in advance through his app. read more

First, I just wanted to say thank you so much Alex. You literally saved my life, time, and money. I appreciate it so much. Now, let's start off with the location. I got here and thought it wasn't the right place because it looked like a hair salon from the outside. But, his barbershop is actually inside the place, but in the back. It's a nice environment at his work place. He has a bathroom, Playstation, A/C, proper barber tools, etc. Alex is a very nice, knowledgeable, honest, and funny guy. He is very down to earth and tries to make a connection with you while he cuts your hair. He tries to get to know you like on a 1-on-1 basis and even offers you something to drink if you're thirsty (like a beer, water, or soda). He basically treats you like family and it was my first time getting a haircut from him. I came in a rush needing to get a haircut (an hour before closing) because I had blonde hair and had to chop it off due to work, but Alex told me not to chop it off because it wouldn't look as nice. He came up with a solution and went out of his ways to dye my hair back to black. It came out great, no errors at all. He then proceeded to cut my hair, I asked Alex what looked good with my style of hair and he then gave me his perspective on what looks better. In the end, my hair turned out just the way I wanted. His barbering skills are on point. He cuts with precision and even gives you tips on how to do your hair and he also tells you what he is doing as he cuts your hair. Plus, he also puts the finishing touches with a razor-blade. Really professional. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. I wish I knew about his barbershop sooner so I wouldn't have to drive so far away to get a nice cut. I've been to a few barbershops around the Chino and Pomona area and I have to say Alex is really good at what he does and the price is really reasonable. Cuts By DRO popped up & all of the reviews showed mad love for this dude. I decided to come in & check it out. This has been by far the whole package I've been looking for in a barber. Not only did he do a good job on my hair, but he treated me very well. As soon as he was done cutting the customer he was working on at the time, he went right over to me to introduce himself, looked me square in the eyes & shook my hand like a man. I respected dude on the spot. While I was waiting he made a conversation with me & another customer he was cutting. He completely made me feel like I was just chilling at the homie's house.
