A really great spot we stumbled on walking around the north end. It was quite busy and one of the staff was dealing with a large crowd of kids (looked to be under 14) so I'm hoping to come back again soon with hopes there are less distractions for staff. Service is very friendly but I am not a fan of the QR code menus. There are regular menus available but you have to ask for them which is an inconvenience. I just think if you're going to bring out a stand with a QR code, you may as well just put menus on the table. The menu is extensive but seating is limited and seems to fill up fast. We noticed a lot of gig app drivers come and go so it was quite busy. We got the meat haters pizza and were quite surprised. The large was too much for two of us who love to eat, but our only complaint was that it wasn't hot when we got it. We noticed our pizza sitting on counter for some time while one of the staff dealt with the young kids who were trying to figure out how to order individually while being very unorganized. That's our only complaint as we would have ordered more food and actual drinks but weren't willing to wait longer (which we did from the get-go) for the staff to try to figure out how to better take orders from the group of youngsters (who were being respectful but very disorganized). It's a great location and easy to get to so we'd love to give it another try when we're back in the area. read more

Had never been to G-Street, and they have so many Veg options! Today when I went for the first time they didn't actually have any vegan cheese (shipment is the next day, it happens) but they just added more of all the other ingredients + brought more coconut donair sauce for me to drizzle on top and it was perfect. I was hesitant to order from here, as I am die hard Randy's fan when it comes to donairs. I should have listened to my gut instinct. The meat was so salty. Almost impossible to eat. I love that Gottingen Street is offering so many eateries with vegan options. G-Street has quite a few vegan options on their menu, including donairs, a burger and of course pizza! Upon entering I was simply in love with the style and atmosphere of the restaurant. I love the dark colour scheme, the bottle chandeliers, giant gears on the wall and just about everything else you can see. The waitress was extremely pleasant and quick to serve us. My friend and I decided to order the Meat Haters pizza which comes with meatless pepperoni, sausage and vegan mozzarella. The food was prompt and smelled incredible. They offer vegan Good Parma at the table as well which is an awesome little touch. The pizza crust was perfect, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce was the perfect flavour and the vegan toppings were delicious. It was filling and satisfying. I think I loved everything about this place. I will definitely be back. read more

Had the Hipster and BBQ Chicken Signature pies and was received with massive appreciation from all recipients. The Hipster is a study into everything good about a veggie option and the BBQ Chicken brought a complex combination of flavors that made it impossible to have one slice. G-Street Pizza was a new place I went to try because a friend told me they had good wings and they weren't wrong about that. The wings were big and juicy and the outside coating was fried to perfection. Sauce was on the side; however, I preferred wings with sauce on them. Service was average and the group of us got so impatient that we went up to the counter to pay instead of waiting for the server to get back to us. Overall, it was a good experience and hopefully I'll get to try their pizza next time. read more

Well we ordered from here because we have had their pizza once before and really liked it. We ordered food to be delivered because we had a Zoom Christmas event. We called at 4:24pm and were told it would be around '5:00 pm or shortly after'. That was fine. We called at 5:33pm and were told the delivery guy had 2 orders, had left 30min ago and the other delivery was in Dartmouth! We are only 2km away from G Street in the opposite direction. We received our order one hour after it had left the restaurant and needless to say the crust was only warm at the very center, poutine was a stuck together mess -wings barely warm- calamari rubbery and not warm. The answer we got Re why send our order out when the guy is going to Dartmouth: " we can't just send him with one delivery." ! read more

This place is great! Great location in the north end, right across from the Halifax north end library, it's a good spot to sit down for a short while if that's what you like, however, if you like to take your time, and have a long slow meal, they're cool with what YOU want to do and were extremely accomodating to my many requests. I got to work on work stuff on the new chrome-thingy, eat, have a beer (the Blonde that was suggested was, excellent), chicken wings (10 if I remember correctly) piping hot, I another beer after... Came to less than $55!!!! And I spent a long time there, and the staff did not mind it one bit... I'd go back again today! read more

Beautiful space, lack-lustre experience. I love a funky pizza parlour and had high hopes for G-Street, especially after hearing the raves from a friend. Sadly, it went down hill from there. My friend gushed about the root veggie fries and described the dipping sauce as delicious. We asked about the tuna pizza - was that seared tuna or canned? Big difference. The server assured us it was seared so that sealed our decision - we'd have the veggie fries, a tuna pizza and a pickled fennel pizza. The root fries arrived over-dark and still a bit raw inside and the dip was 'meh' at best. My friend said it was nothing like she'd had in the past. Disappointing start but tolerable. Then arrived the pizzas. As soon as the server placed them in front of us, it was clear the tuna was fresh from a tin and not seared in any way. She apologized and said the menu had recently changed from seared and she wasn't aware. My fennel and prosciutto one was tasty, but after a single bite of the tinned tuna pizza, my friend had enough. Our server did offer to rush through a new order but we opted to share my tasty fennel pizza instead. Bills arrive. Now if I was trying to make up for a disappointing experience, I may considering offering a little something - something to rid the bad taste - write off the fries, offer a discount on your next pizza perhaps... Just a thought. My friend who previously raved about G-Street, has hushed her reviews. Luckily for G-Street, being conveniently located in the Velo should mean they will have the volume of business to survive but the pizza biz is tough and you have to be on your game. read more

Came here for lunch on a sunny Wednesday in August. Luckily, there were a few empty free parking spaces on Gottigen across the street, which was perfect. My friend and I were the 2nd customers of the day (it seems) when we walked in at about 11:55? Greeted immediately by a friendly server who told to seat wherever we'd like, so we took a table at the far back. The layout of the place is long and narrow with lots of natural light coming in, stylish, modern decor for a 'pizza place' and they even grow their own herbs on shelves. Seating for 30+ that I counted. The menu has a decent selection of not just pizzas, but fun appetizers, burgers and donairs, with vegan options. We knew we were getting a pizza, so asked if we could do a half and half, which was no problem. Split a large with half Carne (pepperoni, Italian sausage & chorizo) and half Margarita (tomatoes, mozzarella, basil). It was ready in 10 mins or so and was delicious! Just the right amount of topping and good flavor to the sauce. The crust is a bit thin toward the center so I rolled my slices up, my friend picked at his with a fork. The outside crust is thicker and chewy, but just the way I like mine. Very filing. We're already thinking about what to try on the next visit. read more

We had heard how great this restaurant was and now we have experienced it for ourselves. We shared vegan poutine, blew us all away! Meat eaters and vegans alike! Pizzas were excellent, crust was perfect! Vegan donair was fantastic! So nice to see a menu so diverse, I was the only vegan in our group and there were several choices for all of us! Back in Halifax after moving away 3 years ago and became plant-based in the meantime. Was a bit worried there wouldn't be a lot of vegan restaurant options but OMG G-Street pizza is everything. I didn't think a vegan donair was going to exist, and it is SO much better than the meat version! Way less greasy and you don't feel disgusting or guilty after. They nailed the sweet coconut donair sauce. We also got the meat-haters and vegan bbq pizzas and both were absolutely flawless. My non-vegan friend tried the meat haters out of curiosity thinking it was going to be horrible, and she loved it and said she would get it next time!
