He had an appointment scheduled for inspection the following day. He was called at 4:42 pm on October 4th by OPP stating that his car had been found in Owen Sound and they told him that it will be towed to Penn Automotive. Our son immediately called us and we told him under no circumstances is it to go to Penn because they have been known to be dishonest business people and gauging inoccent consumers when they are most vulnerable. He tried to call back with these instructions, and to tell them that he has CAA but was unsuccessful. I immediately called OPP myself repeatedly at 4:50-5:00 pm and could not get through. I then called Penn Automotive directly and was very clear in telling them that they are not to pick up his car. My husband also called and told them the same. We had been given 2- other quotes for $150.00+tax up to $200.00. Plus we have CAA. so he would not have had to pay a thing, had they called the closest tow company in Owen Sound instead of calling one that was 45 km return trip. I called Penn Automotive at 8:am the following morning and asked for my sons invoice to be emailed to me so I could pay it. I knew that we had to get the car out of there as soon as possible before they tacked on more daily impound fees. That is why their yard is so full of cars! The bills are so high, that some people just simply walk away and leave their cars. Their bill is worth more than their car. They never sent me the invoice I asked for. I emailed twice, called twice. I then contacted my son at work and he went there directly to pay this bill so they would release his car to be towed back home by another company.The bill was 1070.00. They reduced it!

He even did little extra and fixed a small noise I had in my muffler free of charge. I would highly recommend him In this area. Very impressive service. The bays are extremely clean…read more Safety was number one for the employees. They opened my spring loaded hood but used a prop for back up. This insured no broken fingers in case of failure. After checking the headlights signals etc I was asked to place the keys on the dashboard. This means no sudden lurching of the car creating crushed fingers or knees. On my style of car they sucked the oil from the engine through the dipstick tube. This was the first time I have seen this done. They inflated all tires to proper specifications with a gentle report of low pressure. My bad! The cabin filter was checked and was embarrassingly dirty. There were four individuals crawling over my car like NASCAR pit crew. I will return to this location.

Needed a part for my old camper van. Guy at the desk was sure he couldn't get it and he was right…read more But he took the time to look it up, find me a diagram of what I needed and what the part number was in the event I could find it elsewhere. He printed it out a circled it for me. Excellent customer service will go there next time if I need a part for my jeep or the dodge van.
