Always a great selection of firearms and ammo as well as accessories. I've visited the stores in Rossville and Dallas and have always found the staff to be helpful and professional. Unless they are extremely busy, they always take time to chat and help you find anything you need. My last trip- they noticed my Kershaw knife in my pocket and we had a great conversation about different knives for EDC and the pros and cons of each. My last purchase was a Glock 36 and a Nano 300 gun vault. Very pleased with both. Glad to have found GT Distibutors- will be back. read more

They published pictures on their website of the boat they sold the Texas DPS. When I pointed out to them that they had parked the boat in a fire zone, blocking a handicapped ramp, I was called a "troll" and banned. More info at gtdist dot net. read more

Called before I drove an hour to see if they had an item in stock. They said they did. I drove up there and they didn't have any. Spoke to two of the people in the store. Neither one cared. Acted like it wasn't their problem. Won't shop there again. read more

2010 marks G T Distributor's 38th year supplying public safety and military professionals with the tools required to do your job protecting the health and safety of this great nation and return home safely at the end of their shift. We are proud to offer one of the most complete selections of public safety products in a nationally distributed catalog, from firearms and ammunition to uniforms and vehicle equipment. As uncertain economic times approach, we can work with you to make your budget dollars go farther. We are dedicated to assisting you before, during, and after the sale.

History

Established in 1972.

On April 1, 1972, GT Distributors opened its doors. Bill Orr, our founder, is still active in the company. The 'GT' name came from the fact that our original location was one block from the Georgia and Tennessee state line. In our current location in Rossville, our north property line is the state line. Now that we have stores in Texas, we like to think that GT means Georgia and Texas. Our Georgia location now has 14 employees, two of which are road representatives. The Rossville store has the largest full line public safety showroom in the Southeast. In February 1985 we opened our Texas store with two employees, Jim Orr and Peter Hernandez. Both are still serving customers. In 25 years our Texas location has grown from 2 employees to just over 50. Of these, five are full time road representatives. In 2003 we occupied a 31,000 sq foot building located at 2545 Brockton drive. It now is the largest showroom in Texas and the five neighboring states.

The shoes would be pricey if my company didn't offset the cost by quite a bit. I believe they carry a lot more than just shoes but that is all I go for. The location is easily overlooked so don't fly by it. Everyone I dealt with was very nice both in person and on the phone. Also a huge plus is they are open part of the day on Saturdays.

As I started making a pile of them for a school play, the lady brought me a buggy. The sweet cashier even gave me a discount for buying 18 of them. Pop's and Granny's Saved the Day and the Play! I wish my photo of the store didn't turn out so blurry. I may drive back over there after the play to show the folks how they helped all the kids look good. :D
