After walking through the store I spent several minutes speaking with the owner. He has a vast knowledge of collectibles since much of the conversation was sparked after I inquired about a few items that I collect, it was apparent he has been doing this for a long time and understands the importance of providing accurate information and provided me with a wealth of new knowledge on a subject I feel well versed in. This shop occupies a space in what appears to be an old abandoned strip mall so there is plenty of great parking and it also provides the owner with a giant space to display an abundance of very nice antiques and collectibles. I thought the prices were reasonable and for the most part there isn't much junk here so if you looking for the garage sell or thrift store type items this probably isn't the place for you. ThIs is the kind of shop that appeals more to the serious collector, of course there are the nic-nacs but for the most part it is filled with the higher end type items. Fakes! Fakes! Fakes! I'm not sure how long the scam can continue. I bought a couple of porcelain…read moreadvertising signs from them on impulse. They had mild, scattered dings and some rust. The moment I had them in hand, I knew they were fakes that had been beat up and intentionally conditioned to give the impression that they are genuine antiques. I felt like a fool when I scrolled back and saw months of previous auctions with literally 500+ porcelain and tin advertising signs, some exceptionally rare, and all with similar rust and dings. ALL ARE FAKE... EVERY SINGLE ONE. I couldn't believe it. Please contact the consumer protection office of Georgia and file complaints as I did. This is a big operation of making fakes and some are bringing $1500+ each. More than enough for these folks to go to jail or at least have civil claims against them. Of course, Live Auctioneers, the online venue, gives them cover and allows for dozens of fake reviews to obscure the growing number of genuine negative reviews-- all of which seem to be generated by folks who bought some of the fake porcelain signs. Theft in plain sight is taking place at Heritage "Antiques."
