I called and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday at 11am and waited and waited and waited, no show, no call. I lost time I could have been doing something else and will never get that time back. So I called and no one answered the phone so I left a message and about three hours later someone called and said they were sorry they missed the appointment and I said no one called and let me know they would not come. No calls, no text and totally forgot about me. If I did not leave a message or call, they would have never called me back. If one customer doesn't matter then none do. So do not do business with them. And I told them I would find someone else. If I did not show up to work with a no call no show, I would be fired. And I am sorry would not work. Do not recommend because if they cannot do the most simple thing right, just show up, then I can't trust them. read more

This company services my neighbor's lawn. Our homes are very close and they bring their industrial mower in between our homes to cut my neighbor's backyard. Their industrial mower kicked a rock from the yard into my basement window and shattered it. We noticed after they mowed that the window was damaged. I asked my neighbor to contact them, but never heard a thing and had to contact them myself. They are claiming they did not do the damage, but industrial mowers can fling a rock up to 200 mph. The damage is unmistakably caused by a rock flung into the window at high speeds. We cut our own yard and do not use a service, they are the only company bringing something at high speed through the area. They are stating they spoke to the crew and the crew claims they did not do it. Once again, the window is under the home, no one can hear anything on those huge mowers and there is no other explanation for the cause of the damage. It was noticed after they mowed. I find that this is a lack of integrity. As a business owner myself, the fact that they are not assuming responsibility for something that can not be explained by anything else shows to me a lack of integrity. I absolutely wouldn't want a business caring for my property if they can't care for the property of others, especially the homes nearby. As a homeowner myself I don't want to be responsible for a business that operates carelessly and doesn't own up to their mistakes. I wouldn't want to be partially responsible for damage done to my neighbor's home for a business I hire. I contracted with Green Thumb to level a spot in my yard to install an above ground pool. I have since been warned by multiple experienced landscapers and a landscape architect that their leveling job is not fit for its intended purpose, as it simply cannot be guaranteed to to support the weight of the pool without a retaining wall to support the portion of the yard they built up above grade to achieve level. I am now hiring another company to come in and fix their unprofessional, unskilled work as it is clear after talking to them that they are either not knowledgeable enough to recognize the blatantly obvious issue or they simply do not care. I will pay them because I always keep my end of a deal even if I do not believe they have kept theirs, but my advice to others is to avoid this company at all costs. Update: Originally I left this review on their facebook page. Apparently it must have lowered their overall rating on facebook to a level below the owner's liking because he immediately deleted every other negative review from his facebook page (there were numerous), artificially increasing the rating back up to an insanely deceptive 5 stars. So I created an account here on Yelp just to leave this review someplace this dishonest person could not manipulate the scores or erase reviews. I mean wow, you should have seen some of the pictures unhappy customers had posted on his facebook account before he deleted them all! In one particularly memorable photo, Green Thumb had planted a boxwood shrub directly into mulch (no soil) and left it half out of the ground, then when it died they refused to pay to replace it and plant it correctly. I will try to be honest without being mean. The communication is absolutely awful, and the quality is also not good. I did not realize Green Thumb and Spring Green are under the same umbrella and the rating us the same for both. They say they will call you back, they don't. Even if you are dissatisfied with their mowing and trimming, they come back out, but you are charged another mow. I was asked to send pictures of the yard. I did. I asked for them to respond/ confirm; they never did. This is the worst lawn care service I have seen. My neighbors lawn on both sides who do their own look better than mine. read more

Stay clear of this place!!! I hired this company in the spring of 2019 to pour a new concrete front porch on my house. They came out on a Friday in May 2019 and tore out the old porch and re-poured the new one. They had slopped concrete all over my siding, brick, front door and pillars and dented the siding on my overhang. In addition, they left tools, a wheelbarrow and garbage along with piles of unused concrete in my grass the entire weekend. On Monday when he returned to get his things and remove his trash, I asked if he could clean up the slopped concrete on my house, and he said he would come back on another day with an agent to clean it off. Well, he never called or showed up. I emailed and called the company numerous times, and kept getting the run around. They finally sent a company out to repair the dent on my overhang, but still did nothing about the concrete stuck to my house. After 7 months of trying to get this resolved, the owner, Jason came out in November and inspected the slopped concrete on the house and said he would have someone come out and clean it up. So 5 months later at the end of April 2020, the original guy shows up one day with a power washer and spent about 10 minutes power-washing and then left. I went out to inspect and there are still clumps of concrete on my house. I called the company and they said they would send him back out to clean it again, but he never showed up nor did I get a follow up call. This has been going on for over a year now, and has been a complete waste of my time. Give your business to another company, because this one is just a joke! read more

During our time with Green Thumb we have incurred a broken fence (still needs to be dug out of concrete and replaced), Green Thumb never acknowledged. Our new plants were sprayed w fertilizer and killed which was about $250 waste of plants and shrubs. Our hillside, in two places, was damaged when their mower ripped out sections of the grass and never was repaired. Our front sidewalk and our back step has chunks of concrete missing and tire marks. Our new SUV was hit at the exact height level of their mower and in the EXACT same spot as the dent, the sidewalk and curb is chipped, w black tire marks. My car sits at home all day, every until I pick kids up from school. The car was dent free and parked for two entire days with no driving and the same day the lawn company came, a dent appeared and was even rubbed on. We took pictures of the car and side walk damage but owner's response was "Prove It." Our gate is constantly left open, even after they switched crews for us since we have dogs and kids. I have tipped the guys several times on days I feel it is too hot for them to work and when they took the extra time to blow the cut grass off the sidewalks and expected a little more from the owners. Nothing we can do now and sadly out of the money that it is costing us for repairs. Laura and Jason refused to provide copy of their insurance to our insurance Agent. My car is rusting so we have no choice but to pay it ourselves and get it repaired. Our fence post is shot and we spent our own money on grass seed and lawn repair in the hillside spots that were damaged. Have pictures of all damages upon request. read more

Jason and the men he had working for us were great! My wife and I hired them to put French drains in two areas against our home because of water coming into the basement. The lower level is partly finished and every time it rained hard, I had to pull back carpet and put fans and towels down to soak up water coming in over the top of the foundation (the home was built with the sill plate underground). Two other companies both said they'd have to tear out plants that were close to the house, including a beautiful rhododendron that my wife didn't want to lose. Jason's team of Medina and José (I believe that was their names) worked around this and the other plants, finished the job in about 1 1/2 days, were polite, and cleaned up the work site when finished. The next day I set a hose out for a total of 6 hours against the house in several different areas where they worked and not a drop of water in the basement! A flood at their shop had put them behind schedule to start our project (as well as everyone else's) but we'd been trying to find a good solution for our water problem for several years so waiting a few weeks longer than planned was not an issue. They were reasonably priced and when I asked before accepting their proposal, they provided us a certificate of general liability and work's compensation insurance from their insurance agent. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat! read more

Horrible! They did some landscaping which was not looking very good so it was "recommended" to sign up for their monthly service to get it corrected. I received an invoice the first month but no service was provided. The second month I had to call and ask them if they we're going to do any service. When they didn't show up the third month I canceled. The landscaping had to be redone. They also would not honor their guarantee on stone work they installed. read more

They have mowed my yard for about 4 maybe 5 years. They are very reliable and the prices are reasonable. Over the years we have had them do some small landscaping projects and I have always been happy with the work. They are very customer service oriented so if I have a question or concern they always call or email back right away. I would certainly recommend them. read more

We have been Green Thumb customers for years, having our lawn cut for the most part. They also offer general landscaping services, so in the spring of 2016 we hired them to spruce up the shrubbery. Between ordering the service and performance several weeks (at least 8) elapsed. We chalked it up to having caught them at high season, so to avoid a repeat of the situation this year we contacted them early. We asked for an estimate, attempting contact by telephone and email both. Repeatedly. Over several weeks. Finally I threatened to discontinue mowing service and got an immediate response. However, the estimate was not for trimming and mulching the limited area, it included tree trimming and the entire property. When we emailed a reply asking for the specific job, again, we went into the "no response" cycle of repeated email queries and unreturned calls. Finally, after a number of weeks, the service was performed but not well. A number of large weeds were left among the landscaping. Fine. Pull them myself, it's not worth the hassle of trying to get them back to do it. Now, a few weeks later, the mulch used was full of stinkhorn fungus and will have to be replaced, and the area is overgrown with weeds. read more
