From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the most helpful associate....Michael. He truly understood the assignment! Knowledgeable, patient, and kind, he guided me through the store and helped me find exactly what I needed. The selection is amazing; especially their Polynesian prints. They also carry sei (flowers), ulafala, ta'iga 'ie for suas, blankets, and so much more. Prices range from $5-$18 per yard and with so many options, we happily spent about three hours shopping for the perfect material. I was looking for a new fabric store after Joann closed. The fabrics in this warehouse are beautiful and of high quality. There are a ton of options, it's amazing! It's not the tidiest and you do need to have some basic knowledge of fabrics as things aren't really labeled, but their selection is huge and their prices are reasonable. I drive from Manteca to shop here. G-Tex has such a wide variety of fabrics to choose from. Traditional Hawaiian print fabric (for Hula), silks, satins. A costume maker's dream. I went to G-Tex for the first time today as a new sewist and it did not disappoint! They have a huge selection of fabrics that can be overwhelming once you walk in but amazing when you continue looking! I felt like I kept finding more gems the more I looked throughout the store. Once we found what we liked, Michael helped us out immediately and was super nice and helpful. He explained different aspects of the fabrics and was able to explain the pricing well too! I left with 6 different fabrics and 8 total yards which was about $60. Definitely will be back and I love that you can order online too! read more

I was so happy to find this fabric place! Unlike many other fabric stores where you're often left on your own, I was welcomed right away and offered help as soon as I walked in. The gentleman there was incredibly kind and helped me find the perfect straps for my wedding dress. It turned what could have been a stressful moment into a really pleasant experience. Went there today with my mom and this nice worker named Micheal was a great help! told him Its our first time visiting and what my budget was. Showed me all the best materials that are cheap! I got a 4 yard for my dress and the material is so pretty! So many materials you can get. It felt like a flee market with everything for sale. Didn't know this place was here... wish we knew sooner. One of the few places that are open during the quarantine for fabrics and elastics. Decent price but everything is priced on the spot. There is no signage of prices anywhere. This is one of those places where if you look rich they'll price it more expensive. They don't write it down as you go and you're kinda just blindly guessing your total at the end. Came in for 8 yards of fabric and 30 yards of trim and some elastics and paid almost $70 for it. The workers were nice though and helpful. They had a good selection of fabrics but it's unorganized and the lighting sucks so it's hard to go through them. It's really small inside and can barely fit two people in an aisle. There are corners of the store where you can't really look because of how messy it is. Also it's in "plaza" with a few other businesses and the parking lot is super tiny! And they gave me a bad batch of fabric. I got 2 yards of this gorgeous white cotton fabric but the ends are dirty. It's cause while they cut it's dragging on the floor and this place isn't the cleanest. Especially cause it rained today so the floors were a bit muddy. Really disappointed considering I paid $10 a yard for it! read more

Really love the different patterns they have but this is about pricing. There are prices posted on certain rolls that don't reflect what they were selling it to us too. For example: there was a sign that said $8/yard on the specific roll we were trying to buy but the worker there told us it was $9/yard. After trying to explain to him that the sign was $8/yard he just kept saying$9 so we decided not to purchase it. Tell me how that makes sense. read more

I found out about this place on Next door. It was a little tricky finding the place since it's in a commercial area and in a plaza with other stores. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I found fabric for mask making. They carry serger thread, elastic and a good selection of other fabrics at good prices. I have been back 3 times already and will return for other needed sewing projects. read more

We ended up shopping around for 2 hours and the owner was very friendly throughout our whole visit. He helped us locate the type of fabric/design we were looking for and even pulled out many options for us to look at. I am a known fabric horder. I can't help myself. Honest. If you can turn a piece of fabric into a quilt or a baby gift, I'm in. When my lovely goddaughter needed to buy fabric for a choir outfit (think Renaissance style), I quickly offered to take her shopping when she was in the area. Although this is a little outside of my sweet spot for fabric, I thought it would be fun to try this shop. The owner was beyond amazing. He was so nice, helpful and patient. There is so much fabric! And the prices are incredible. I highly recommend this location for fabric. If you are willing to dig, you will find what you are looking for while here. Most of the fabric I saw was 60". I am always searching for affordable fabric stores. I live in the North Peninsula and the closest one to me is Joann's which we all know is the most expensive fabric store of them all! GTex was recommended to me by a cousin. I didn't have high expectations because I regularly visit Fabrics R Us. I was pleasantly surprised during this visit. The customer service was great and the prices were awesome! I stopped by the other fabric store first for a price comparison and we saved $50 by shopping here. read more

To be honest, I only went to this store once, based on good yelp reviews. It seems to have a ton of fancy dress fabrics, like sheers, satins, lace, sequined and beaded stuff, but not much else. If you want to make a wedding, cocktail or fancy dress, this seems like the place to go. Unfortunately that's not what I want to make. The fabric is piled floor to ceiling in random piles, with no prices, fabric content or sizes labelled on anything. You really have to dig to find anything. And if you are claustrophobic the narrow aisles piled high will make you nervous. It was not a pleasant shopping experience. read more
