    Irresistible!

A sweet quilt store with quality fabrics (mainly cotton woven) and notions for quilters/sewers. Friendly service. Definitely quilt focused (not much sewing/embroidery in comparison) with a long arm machine and classes. Excellent selection of stabilizers/batting. I stopped on a whim and enjoyed my visit--and my purchases!

Laura Heine Pattern Class at Golden State. Great Fun.

Disappointed that the second quilt I brought in had the pattern done sideways. I'll remake it and bring it somewhere else

I actually found out about this place in the most random, roundabout way... A friend sent me a package and accidentally left the order confirmation from her Wild Hare purchase inside. Naturally, I did what any curious quilter would do... Looked it up, loved their online vibe, and decided I had to see it in person. Parking was easy in a nearby lot and the store itself is charming with a variety of craft supplies including quilting fabric, needlepoint, watercolor kits, washi tape, and even finished handmade goods available for sale. When I walked in, initially I did not see anyone at the register/desk, so I browsed up front. Eventually, I spotted an employee at the register but they didn't greet me or acknowledge me which was definitely off-putting. Customer service is everything. The fabric selection was nice though I found the online selection more enticing. Everything was of very high quality. I ended up leaving with just a roll of washi tape. Overall, cute store and worth checking out for the variety, but I wish the welcome had matched the charm of the space.

Plenty of cute designs on display, including bunnies of course. There was only one person managing the store, and she kind of just allows customers to explore, not offering assistance, which I'm fine with as I actually prefer to take my time looking around without being bothered. I found some stickers and ribbon in unique patterns and prints for a creative project I'm working on. Service was friendly as she cut the ribbon for me and rang me up. The purchase process was simple and straightforward. Also, street parking was free and easy less than a block away on a Saturday.

Old school fabrics store for your quilting needs, operated by knowledgeable and friendly staff…read more The Granary Quilt Shop is certainly a rarity to see nowadays when online shopping has been the norm, but this mom and pop shop is still thriving in a well ventured shopping center sharing space with other small businesses serving the local community. The parking situation is great as the parking lot is rarely packed and has large spots for those with bigger vehicles. As you walk up to the storefront, you'll see through the clear glass windows a plethora of colors and patterns with some sample quilts hanging out for display. Step foot through the doors and you'll be sent into a world of fabrics infused with aisles of colors, textures, accessories, and resources to help level up your quilting skills. And within a few minutes, we were greeted by their staff to provide any guidance or assistance navigating their wares. We were only browsing on this occasion but for those in search of quilting accessories, this is a haven with a variety of fabrics for you to choose from in order to piece together the next masterpiece. We spent a good 15 minutes just perusing the store and all the knickknacks that were available. The samples hanging on the walls were inspiring! The prices seemed reasonable and with the raw materials being affordable and accessible for making such beautiful pieces of art is probably a good reason this hobby still exists. I think what stands out is the quality of the fabrics as the texture and feel of them definitely seem more durable and sustainable than what you'd get through an online store. Overall, The Granary Quilt Shop keeps the quilting community thriving with their shelves full of fabrics and quilting accessories. The team members here are seasoned vets in the hobby and are extremely friendly to support your quilt making needs. A specialty shop with a brick and mortar presence is a fading trend but this shop has clearly made its mark, has a good following among its local community members, and continues to bring in new customers with sales and family activities. For being around for nearly a decade, this shop is a beacon for the quilting community!

From the moment I walked in, the staff stood out with their friendliness and eagerness to help. They were more than happy to guide me through the store and help me find whatever I was looking for, and they did so with genuine enthusiasm. Whether you're into home décor, crochet, art supplies, painting, photo framing, or even just looking for cool mugs or crafting accessories--you'll find it here. It really does live up to the name when it says anything related to your hobby is under one roof. What surprised me the most were the prices. I compared several items with what's available online on Amazon, and Hobby Lobby consistently came out cheaper--which was a pleasant surprise! This is definitely my new go-to spot for all things creative and decorative. I'll surely be returning for my future needs. Highly recommended!

Employees were stocking the aisles everywhere, which made it hard to maneuver through. Shouldn't stocking happen before the store opens? They had a ton of Christmas decorations everywhere. They still had some fall aisles, but I'd say the majority of the inventory was Christmas. The aisles that were already stocked were nice and neat. It's a bit overwhelming in there. There's so much to look at that you can easily spend an hour in there without realizing it. I finally asked for help for what I was looking for, but they only had fall serving trays. So I got that instead. I also got a cute gingerbread house-shaped doormat, and a gingerbread boy and girl yard decoration. They have a ton of ornaments. I found some frosted tiny gumdrop ornaments for my miniature Christmas tree. Everything I bought was 50% off, which was a great deal. Checking out took a long time. The employees at the checkout literally have to key in each item. This is a brand-new store. Why don't they have a scanning system? This makes for a very long wait just to buy your items. I think they need to upgrade their system with the proper technology of our time. The young lady who helped me check out was very sweet and friendly.

Michaels in Cupertino is organized and so far - has commendable customer service (as long as they're smiling when they interact, I'm sold). The staff at the register and on the floor are helpful even during the holidays. Every shelf has a variety of great selection (even new to the arts and crafts items are here!). I've been coming to this store for years, but not often, and there are the occasional customers with their unruly kids knocking over merchandise or just running around the store like a playground - I know this is something the staff cannot control but this creates an inconvenience to other customers as these little people have no clue about good behavior. One time I had to give my "I'll eat you alive" look to a little girl who pushed against my cart while she was running. I think that kid will never leave home after that. I digress. The framing department seems to be the busiest area in the store. Each time I had to go use their bathroom (clean), there were always customers waiting to be helped. I take that as a good sign? There are always great sales going on with their yarn and beading supplies. I'm happy. Their clearance items are of great value and if you get in during the right time, you'll even get to purchase $10 wholesale boxes from previous seasons. I shop here, usually at random...not a great idea. Parking is easy and the strip is a one-stop-shop with the Safeway and Ulta next door. Even a RDFL (Ross Dress For Less). It's time to conclude this thesis. It's an easy 5 stars.
