But I was sure there was a catch! After going back and forth for months I finally set up a consultation. Kevin came out and explained everything, took measurements, and made up an invoice. Shockingly it was less than I anticipated. The deposit was paid and everything was ordered. Sunday Kevin, his daughter, and another gentleman came out and started setting up the lights. After 18 hours (13 hours Sunday, 5 hours today) the lights are done! They are seamlessly installed and when they're off you can't even tell they are there! They also were able to do lights on the gazebo! Kevin and his crew did an amazing job and we are so happy with the results! Even mom is happy and she's hard to impress! Kevin thank you thank you thank you again! The lights are amazing and absolutely beautiful!

I can set different light patterns and combinations for all the holidays now. During the day, you don't even notice that the lights are installed. Seacoast Trimlight did a very good job installing this system. I am a very happy customer and highly recommend this company.

I went in and inquired as to why my LED lights made noise and asked what would help lessen the buzz…read moreand was told by the lighting associates "we are not electricians." True, the lighting sales people do not do any of the wiring. BUT they should know about the products they sell. And be able to help come to a solution. Otherwise they are order takers. I can go online for that! When I went back to return the product they suggested, I was told the $100 dimmer was not returnable because it was "used". Yet, the person still gets to keep the sales credit for a product that they suggest would lessen the loud buzz. The simple solution to my buzzing lights were higher quality bulbs. About $5-$10 (candelabra and sconces) per bulb depending on the base size!

Less than 2 minutes later, a couple walked in and both ladies at the front sprung to life with a warm welcome and offered to assist as needed. As i processed this, the door opened again and yet another set of folks walked thru the door - again to great fan fare and the usual do not hesitate to flag us down with any questions. I had some questions at this point, but resolved that as i was being treated like a 3rd class citizen, i would just leave. As i prepared to exit, i heard yet another enthusiastic welcome as another person entered the store. I decided to test my theory. I walked up to the main aisle positioned myself in front of the ladies and waited to be acknowledged. They all of a sudden were completely consumed by paperwork and both ignored me in sync. I cleared my throat and asked a question about a light fixture.. Lady 1 ignored me and continued to shuffle papers while Lady 2 answered my question dryly and suggested i look through the catalog. No warm and fuzzy offer to help. Needless to say my first visit was also my last visit - Good Luck to you as business owners in 2020 behaving like its 1950.

I have a beloved olde family heirloom lamp (the kind that your relatives try to weasel out of you…read morebefore you're mature enough to realize how lovely it is). Two weeks ago, to my utter despair, the little bugger shocked me; intervention was required. Enter Appleton Antique Lighting. It's a bit small, and Route 9 is a bit crazy, so keep your eyes peeled. The gent going through bills off to the side was a bit brusque, but the lady at the register was very sweet. They quoted an *extremely* reasonable price for the fix. They said it might take two weeks, but they got it done in one. And my lamp is back to its healthy, non-shocking ways. Go there. And bring your poor, your tired, your huddled lamps, yearning to be fixed.

I can't say that I know a whole lot about lamps. My bedside lamp had been bugging me for the last…read moreten years or so - I kept having to wiggle the switch to get it to work, and sometimes the light would go out while I was reading, it would go out and I'd have to get up and wiggle the switch again - one of those really annoying little things. Finally it dawned on me that there's people out there who fix these things - I took it to Appleton, and the rest is history. They are incredibly nice there, and while they said it would take a few days to fix, it turned out they were able to sneak it in between larger projects and the lamp got repaired by the next day. Not bad! Basically, I would say that they were very knowledgeable, extremely welcoming and affable people with excellent customer service, and as far as I can tell, they charged a reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again as they certainly have earned a repeat customer (just hoping that I won't have any more broken lamps, haha).
