Another delicious meal today. This is a true family Italian restaurant. The kids were out of school and helping at the store. Service was great and fun to watch the kids. A very relaxed atmosphere. In the area and hungry. Saw this pizza place and felt like a slice. The place was not busy at all. I asked about slices and heros. They have a special for two slices. But a sub sounded really good. So I ordered a Chicken Parm sangawich. They said 15 mins, but it was served in 5. It really didn't take long. The first bite was hot chicken and melty cheese. Really good taste. The restaurant was nice and clean with nice music. The staff was super nice. The food was good. You can't ask for more. read more

It has been my new favorite place to stop in for a fresh salad and slice of pizza. As I have watched Dawn interact with customers while cooking up a storm, I learned everything was homemade, fresh, so we chose to have Gabbie's Pizza cater our party last night. It was a huge success. Everyone raved about the food and wanted to know where it came from. We had spaghetti w/ meatballs, baked ziti, chicken marsala and an awesome antipasta salad. I can't recommend them enough! read more

I was in town and decided to drop in for some slices. I was a happy former customer and read there was new ownership and wanted to give it a try. Positives: Good pizza. A little thinner than the old owner, but a very credible and good NY style. Hot crisp crust. Negatives: I drove about 10 miles to get here. When I got back to my hotel, I opened the box and found one slice, not the 2 slices I had ordered. The restaurant was also a bit chaotic. An employee seemed to be caring for 2-3 kids in the back who were kind of running around. Not really super disruptive, but not professional either. I realize it's hard to get day care and employees and covid, blah blah blah, but at a certain point you have to decide whether your priority is customer service or your own convenience. read more

Ordered a Ortolana (veggie) pizza as a treat for Saturday movie night. Well done. I should have known better when I felt the soaked bottom of the box that I would be disappointed in the crust. The Ortolana appears to be a fantastic combination of vegetables. In practice it looks really good. BUT somehow Gabbies managed to suck the flavor and taste out of each and every topping. How is this even possible? Ok, I've learned or relearned that you really can't get a decent pizza west of 95. Next time it will be dominoes for me. read more

Whenever we visit our daughter in Port Orange, my husband has always wanted to visit. He actually visited last February (pre-Covid) with golf buddies. His Pennsylvania buddy raved how much it was like being up north; very New York style. So this evening, we made a visit for in seat dining. The waitress was a sweetheart. You could see the family working hard on all the orders. Many orders were still carry-out at this time. I asked what was a favorite of repeat customers. Our waitress suggested several. I went with the Baked Ziti with a side of grilled shrimp. My husband wanted garlic knots to start. He also ordered a single slice of pepperoni and a single slice of meat lovers. Let me tell you!! Everything was yummy, and Served piping hot! We had plenty to bring home for our daughter to eat after a long night of working ER at Halifax. Had lunch at Gabbies today. AMAZING Pizza. Mushroom with basil. Cooked to perfection. Great crust, and just a great tasting pizza. Best pizza we've had in years. BIG RIP-OFF I went to Gabbies in the Pavilion in Port Orange for a slice of pizza. They had a special, 2 slices and a drink for $8.00. So, when we sat down, a 10-year-old boy toke our order. No child labor here! We thought that was cool so we each ordered the special. My friend order the cheese slices and I ordered supreme slices. So, in most pizza places, the difference between a cheese and a supreme slice might be a dollar more for the few items that they put on the slice. When we each had gotten our checks, on my check, they charged me at least "$4.50 more" on each slice, which was over $9.00 more than the 2 slices, and a drink for $8.00. My bill came up to $18.28 for that $8.00 special. I spoke to the owner to ask her why it was so much more hoping she would do the right thing and adjust the check, but she did not... She stood by her pricing. I told her that she would lose customers for 9 dollars and I did tell her that I would put this on Yelp. She didn't care. So, I paid the $18.28 for two slices and a drink and let everyone know to Be Aware of their pricing. If that 9 dollars is going to make or break her business, then she needs to close the doors... read more

We got a large meat lovers pizza and a large Greek salad to share between two adults and two kids. One non-pizza fan had fried shrimp and fries, and toddler had soup. Everything was delicious and unfussy, and everyone was happy with dinner. We enjoyed it all! Service was super kind, quick, and attentive with needs and refills. I'd definitely recommend coming here over some of the big national chains nearby! read more

This place was highly recommended by a coworker so I decided to check it out. I ordered the Italian sub - omg it's so good! The bread was my favorite part, it was super soft yet had a nice crisp to it. It was also super filling, had to take half to go! The salad was a nice compliment, loved the dressing. What a disappointment. Ordered food that took over two hours to get. Called the manger, but luckily we were able to talk to the owner Dawn that could give a shit that the service is completely trash and she called my wife a bitch. When we opened the pizza I'm pretty sure the person was drunk when they cut it. Enjoy the picture. Garlic knots were tasty, but no way would I ever eat at this place again. The owner needs some training on how to talk to customers. Pretty sure she will be closed down soon acting like that. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

ok, so I'm born and raised from Daytona and up north. Family in restaurant business all my life, award winning chef myself... long story short, this little underrated gem is a little piece of heaven. It's been years but my mother and I it was last place she ever ate before something tragic happening to her but (yes, holds special place in my heart) but the food, atmosphere and staff is so great We had slices, chicken parm and Caesar salads and it was all excellent. I think people are getting carried away this day and age and they keep it basic and flawless read more

After reading reviews I realized we aren't the only ones who waited 2 hours for our food. We sat down and got our appetizers right away (great food) and guy making pizza was really fast & nice. Our server (blonde lady) was kind of rude and after ordering our food and waiting an hour she came back to tell us they ran out of pasta!!!! And a lady was going to get more! So we waited and then 3 of employees kids come running out of the back. So unprofessional and shouldn't be in the kitchen. No apologizes either. They have a lot of potential for having good food but wow. Be more professional and have more cooks. The pizza guy was amazing though. I still can't believe how long we waited for our entrees. read more

This was my second visit to Gabby's. No better than the first unfortunately. The garlic knots were hard and the garlic and butter tasted burnt. The waitress was very accommodating and took them back and brought a fresh bunch. No better. She took them off our bill. The two slices of pizza were fairly tasteless and greasy. I won't be back. read more

This place lacks customer service 100% As you can see the response from the owner in the photo I attached: Mr original review... I'm still waiting on my pizza and I ordered at 6:30... It's 8:35 They have no idea when my order will arrive Update August 23 in response to owner: I got my order for free after several attempts too communicate with Slice. Slice said that Gabbies was not communicating with them. So don't tell me I knew what was going on. The delivery time KEPT MOVING BACK. What a shame that you want to argue with your lack of customer service! Also, is such an unprofessional response to a customer. I just moved in the area and heard good things about this place and not only purchased food once, but more than that, and we experienced this every single time. I gave you a chance! What terrible customer service you have. read more

The worst! DO NOT order from Gabbie's Pizza. We placed on order on line because their phone wasn't working. We paid $1 per item to place the order and was given a pick up time of 6:42-6:58. We had someone at the restaurant at 650. They were told the order was being put in then. At 7;40 when I called they owner didn't care that we had waited 90+ minutes for two pizzas and a fettuciini. He said they were busy because it's a holiday weekend. DO NOT take orders you can't complete and PLEASE be honest about wait times. There is NO WAY I would've waited 100 minutes for this crap. And to be treated by the owner like it should be a privilege was a slap in the face. Too many other pizza places that are better. Gabbie's sucks. read more

This hidden gem in the Pavillion at Port Orange serves some of the best pizza you'll find in the area. The crust is delicious and always perfectly prepared (never burned or doughy). The sauce is excellent--freshly prepared, tart, well-flavored--and we've never had an over-sauced pizza there. Their cheese pizza is the best we've found (and we've tried dozens of local places). Treat yourself (and it is a treat!) to their tomato-basil soup! It's thick and rich with a delicate cheesy taste and plenty of fresh pieces of basil throughout. Hubby loves the Italian combo sub, though he prefers it hot, not cold. House wine is currently the Crane Lake brand, which is better than many locally served house wines. We keep promising ourselves we are going to try the tiramisu or another dessert there, but we can never seem to save room! They do not offer delivery (though you can GrubHub, UberEats, or DoorDash an order), but pick-up is always quick, and we've rarely had to wait on an order--even then only a minute or two, perhaps because we arrived early. This is a family-owned restaurant, and it shows! They pay careful attention to their food, their service, and their customers, which is why they've earned this 5-star review from this picky eater! read more

Good pizza and good crust. Unfortunately the experience was clouded by a gentleman behind the counter who threatened to take my phone from me and break it in a million pieces, that it was date night and family time. I kept playing my card game as I had been before your started giving me crap. My husband, sitting next to me, is a veteran with hearing aids in both ears. When speaking with him, I have to speak louder than others might appreciate in a restaurant. You stood right in front of us and would have heard any of our discussion. I was not being rude, I played a game of cards on my phone while we waited. My husband was not upset. My phone is my work phone and it cost over $1,700 dollars. If you had acted on your unwarranted threat, I would have called the police and pressed charges. You were very far out of line. I told you after your comment that if you had done that it wouldn't have ended well for anyone. You should have minded your business. Two people sitting there quietly did not deserve your threat, and it was a threat. Use caution and mind your mouth. You never know who you are speaking with or their circumstance; you were a bully. Will not be back. read more

Food is 4 to 5 stars. Have enjoyed the pizza, stromboli, chicken marsala and other menu items. Service at restaurant is sub par. Not going back to dine in after 2 poor experiences. Will stick to carryout. Both times in last few weeks waited and had to ask for check several times. Also, asked for more drinks before food and forgot. Bottom line is way to many mess ups. Very dissatisfied with how poor same worker was both times. These issues were just a few of many that happened on our visits. read more

Always great pizza. Placed a take out for a white pizza and a strombolli last night. Both were large size orders as fed 8 people without issue. Gabbies allowed us to customize our strombolli making it like their Quattro Staggioni pizza. Crust was crisp and not over cooked, filling was perfect. The pizza had sautéed chicken added and like the strombolli, it was great! We don't often order take out pizza, but when we do its from Gabbies! read more

Because EVERY TIME I've eaten here, someone is illegally parked in the ADA parking spots and I have asked the restaurant to have the illegally parked vehicles towed and the employees refused. Florida Statute REQUIRES businesses to enforce ADA parking on their property and the Statute states that the business SHALL have the offending vehicle moved. It doesn't say that they have the option. It says that the SHALL. People in wheelchairs need the hashmarked aisles to enter and exit their vehicles. When the ADA spots are taken illegally, truly disabled customers are discriminated against because of the lack of accessibility. Or, they are forced to have to park in more than one spot and push hundreds of feet through the busy parking lot. Today's offender has an expired ADA placard. It's been expired for over seven months. That usually means that the person to whom the placard was issued has died and a family member is using it illegally. As has happened each time when I've asked to have the offending vehicle removed, the employee with whom I spoke refused.

We'll take a walk on the beach and meet you there. We ordered a large thin crust, a big Italian beef wet/sweet with a side of jus, and a personal deep dish for good measure. When we arrived for pickup, the place was hopping -- buzzing with energy and the kind of vibe that makes you wish you'd planned to eat in. And then we tasted the food. Holy. Cow. This is the best Chicago-style pizza and Italian beef I have ever had outside of Chicago -- and I'll go further than that -- it's better than places I've actually eaten in Chicago. So off we went, and the place was hopping. I wonder how many pizzas they end up serving on a given day, but during the 45 mins we were there, they had at least 10 door dash pickups. We ordered our usual which was the 16 inch "cracker crust" thin and crispy with pepperoni and mushrooms (their mushrooms are fresh, not canned) and also asked for it well done so you can taste the crispness of the crust and the slightly charred cheese and pepperoni. Wow, Joe Kielbasa you are an artist of the pizza world! You guys make other great food too. The pizza is far and away my personal favorite but the Italian beef, Chicago dogs, the meatball parm Sammie and the egg rolls are awesome too. Service was exceptional and very attentive.
