The place seems kind-of dark unless you are sitting at a booth facing the road. The sun shines in brightly but you can request the shades to be drawn. This place has a full menu of a typical Italian restaurant. We got a 13" pepperoni and bacon pizza (you can pick from one of their standards or roll your own). The pizza's are very hearty and the 13" was enough for the two of us and we had 2 pieces left over for breakfast the next day. We may have had an appetizer or something but I'm not sure because I only have the credit card receipt. Total bill was $40 all in for pizza, a couple drinks, and maybe an appetizer. In the end I would go back because the pizza was that good. read more

That was a sandwich on a roll. One piece of each meat, no cheese, I order it cold, it came warm, no oil and extra vinegar like I ordered. $40+ for this garbage. Never again! The bread was hot and delicious with butter. They should have served it with olive oil also. The salad came with no dressing options and the kind that was served was strange in a less than good way. My baked penne was amazing and delicious. The cheese was perfectly car Elise's. There was great amount of spinach and mushroom and ricotta cheese baked in. I would order that again, The egg plant Parmesan was inedible. It was undercooked and not cuttable with a knife. My associate complained the rest of the meal. I tried a bite and she was right it was the worst I've ever been served. The waited was overworked and that made him less attentive than expected. Overall I think they are known for pizza. Great spot! The food was absolutely incredible. Best restaurant Italian food I've had in recent memory. The service was somehow even better than the food. Never once did we have to ask for refills for drinks or to order. The staff were incredibly kind and gave very thoughtful feedback back when we asked about different menu items. Came here for dinner. Place was hopping. We had a short wait before being seated. Ordered a pizza to share and a special order pasta. Server was very friendly and service was good. We ordered the Toscano pizza - chicken, sundried tomatoes and spinach. Not much chicken meat on the pizza. Crust was thicker than what we expected but tasted great. Very nice Italian restaurant. Pizza had a great crust with good texture and a nice crust to topping ratio. Alfredo was also quite good. Seemed like an older group when we visited but think families with kids would enjoy this place as well. Just a block off of Atlantic avenue, so very convenient to the hotels in the area. read more

And it's a MUST each time we come to Ponce Inlet to spend our summers whether it's for a weekend stay or week stay, to order some Pizza at Genovese's.. & if we come without the kids, it's a must for us to bring a Pie home back with us for them lol.. They have the absolute BEST pizza ever.. from the sauce to the hot steamy cheese that stretches just like what you'll see on TV..lol and if it's straight out the oven, even better for me! The staff are Great. Can be hard to get through the phone lines sometimes to get an order in for delivery, so be patient with them.. But I don't mind waiting when I know how good the food is. We've always order Pepperoni & Cheese Pizzas which are AMAZINGGG. Better than my home town in Oviedo. But close to what I remember how NY Pizza was when I was a kid.. Plus they have a pretty cool deal Buy one large any pizza and get one free small cheese pizza. WIN WIN for us.. Whoa! Genovese's doesn't mess around. When their pizza chefs are *on* here, this is the real deal crispy & chewy, masterfully crafted thin-crust pizza with the perfect little blisters on the edge of the crust that signal that you've found the highest level of pizza baking. They're a little inconsistent though, as I had an amazing pizza on Tuesday at lunchtime, and yesterday's was not as amazing - a bit more haphazard and much less artisanally satisfying. When Genovese's is *on*, this is the kind of pizza that doesn't rely on toppings to stand out. Instead, it's all about the balance of the slices (they don't droop or sag) and the texture and taste of the crust that 99% of other pizza stores in frankly, the world - could learn a thing or two from. I stayed in an AirBnb down the street while on vacation and my host declares Genovese's as their favorite pizza spot in the region. So I gave it a shot and am really glad I did! Pizza doesn't typically jive with my daily diet but I DGAF if it's worth it - and the pie I received on Tuesday was SO worth it. To be clear, this is not the boring and predictable Neapolitan-style pizza that popped up everywhere in the 2000s. I always eat at the bar (if there is a Negative for this place is that the bar area only seats 3-4) or I order take out. Don't know how to say this because as much as I travel it's crazy to be able to say... I have NEVER had one meal messed up, cooked wrong, wrong thing placed in bag. This restaurant just has it down pat. The girls and the one guy that usually work the cash register and bar are always so kind and extremely professional. I was visiting from WA State & my bf, a Florida native suggested this place because I wanted an east coast meatball sandwich so bad! He said everything he's had here is really good. The man that took our order on the phone was super nice and knew exactly which hotel we were at to deliver to. The delivery driver was super friendly and arrived a few minutes early. So many choices so little time. I spent more time checking dishes passing by me than looking at the menu. Pizza, clam pasta in white wine sauce, mussels pasta in marinara sauce, lasagna, meatballs, everything looked good. I am in a good Italian restaurant. Atmosphere is relaxing great for family. Taste buds don't lie. The marinara sauce is the best I have tried. Rich savory deep red color tomato sauce coated on pasta turn a plain dish into a delicious treat. I ordered Zuppa De Clam, hubby got veal parmigiana and we shared an Antipasto salad. My dish was an appetizer plenty portion for a meal. It came with a big bowl of clams soaked with garlic and olive oil, freshly baked Italian bread as a side dish. I ate everything. The house wine was very decent Italian table wine and reasonably priced. Total bill was under 70 dollars. For the quality of food and service, it worth every penny. We will be back! read more

My sister and her grandkids have come to my neck of the woods twice in a month and of course the kids LOVE pizza, its fair enough to say that Pizza is my favorite food. So yes, we ordered pizza again. My sister & I ordered twice in two separate occasions and they have not disappointed us. The sizes of the pizza is bigger than any other local pizza place near me. Oh and don't get me started with the extra cheese, they sure pack it in there---as thus far they are the cheesiest pizza I've ever had & it tasted idoughlicious (like my play on words, huh). :-) lol Unfortunately, kids ravaged the pizza as soon as I opened the box; def a sad moment that I did not take pictures. But don't judge us, cuz the moment "we" (see how I added myself in the mix, lol) laid eyes on the pizza we couldn't contain ourselves not only cuz we were hungry, but it looked so so good that it was EPIC, even though it was popping hot! We are transplants from NYC, therefore, it was a moment to remember that each of us just folded that pizza in two like NY'ers do as if we were pizza connoisseurs. Ordered for pick up. We chose to get a medium Alfredo and spinach pizza, we added garlic and eggplant. It was ready on time. The restaurant itself was very busy . The next time we'll probably try to eat in, that being said our pizza was delicious. The eggplant was very thin like we like it. And we chose a traditional crust because we like that, the they also offer a Chicago thicker crust. This place has been around a long time. And sometimes when you walk in the place in the staff is a little older. It shows that they care about their staff and they stick around. Ordered food from menu online. When I picked up food price was way higher than showing online. They obviously know of the problem because they told me I have to go to their own website. Why someone else would post their menu I don't understand. I went to their website ( very difficult to find) prices were different than first one. I got broccoli in garlic oil and ravioli with meatballs they said salad and bread came with meal. Even with their website still don't add up to 33.30. They should warn you of bad website or fix it.
