Food quality and size drastically changed for the worst. Greed is all I can think. Oder a small spaghetti and add 2or 4 meatballs. I've had the meatballs before they are good, get my food this time. one same size meatball got before cut in half. So non of it makes sense when I call. They tell me oh the meatballs are bigger now so the portions are the same. Make it actually make sense please. I've gone to Alberto's for years. They used to be great, however tonight I got a meatball sub and fries to go. Got home and the meatballs were tiny and did not fill the roll. When I picked-up the sandwich to eat it, the meatballs fell out the bottom it was so soaked. The meatballs were tasteless like out of a can. The price of a 6" with fries, almost $20. REALLY. I tried their app for my first order ever. It was easy to use. I ordered a 1/2 Philly. The sub was honestly the best I've had in the area. Even though I ordered it to go, it wasn't soggy. That tells me they know what they're doing in the kitchen. The staff was genuinely friendly and the to go area was clean. I'll be visiting them again to try their pizza soon. read more

We used to love this place but it is not the same. We ordered take out and we received the worst food ever. I was taken back a bit when I opened the door and did not smell the aroma of good Italian food cooking. The tomato sauce was missing from the pizza and the pepperonis were undercooked. The garlic knots were almost raw. The wings were bland and the parmesan tasted stale. This was money wasted. Should have taken it back for refund but time would not permit. read more

Had their pizza for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised how good it was! I have had other pizza in this area and most were mediocre except for Giuseppis which is very good as well... Understand that I come from Pennsylvania which is the pizza capital of the country so I have a very high bar.. I also had hot wings with boss sauce (awesome as well) and garlic knots which are also very good. This place also has a very friendly staff and is a very clean establishment. Their garlic knots are by far the best in the county! I've had them several times and they are consistently the best. Last Friday I decided to try their baked spaghetti in bread and it was delicious! I got the lunch portion and it fed me four times! Everyone was so friendly while I waited for my food to be cooked. This place is out of the way for me but I will definitely go back often for that baked spaghetti again and those fantastic garlic knots! read more

As usual everything was wonderful. The Greek salad is always a must for us. I was little surprised with the smaller quantity of meat and cheese on it, but it was still delicious. Missing a star for that. The pickle pizza is a occasional treat and super unique. This is the only place I can find it. We always order the largest cheese pizza. My kids love it, but I love covering this NY style pizza with my salad. We always order from here anytime we are in town visiting family. Orlando has nothing like it. read more

This pizza really was underwhelming. Extremely doughy and greasy. No crunch, cheese falls off slide very easily on the deep dish too. Pepperoni and cheese regular was same. Doughy and cheese not on great. Chewy. Heavy. Overall pretty bad pizza. I heard josephenas or something named like that is close by. Haven't had it but you should try it before this. read more

This is a cute little mom and pops pizza shop. We've not ever eaten there. We always get ours to go. The pizza is pretty good. The only reason I give them a four star is one time they gave us the wrong pizza but then again accidents happen it was still a good pizza. read more

Came here because i had their pizza once and it was really good. We had to pick up wings for a superbowl party and chose Alberto's when we could have chosen a wing place. The wings were very good, but a bit pricey for wings. We will be back. Maybe tonight even, now I'm craving pizza. Mmm read more

We've tried Alberto's three times, including a $300 party order, and here's the verdict - wings in boss sauce good. Otherwise everything else is ehhhh. Pizza is what needs work. It's always undercooked, extra soggy if you order to-go or delivery, they place the cheese ON TOP of the toppings and the entire slab slides off the slice - every.single.time!!). And they use canned mushrooms! What!!?! That decision alone immediately makes me reconsider all their other culinary choices. I mean, even Pizza Hut slices their own fresh 'shrooms. read more

This store is a MUST for anyone wanting a great Calzone. Despite the price being a little high, the food was beyond expectation - FANTASTIC ! Paganos on Ridgewood is good and Guiseppes sucks (BIG TIME) but, Alberto's product is GREAT. I recommend getting it to go because the dine in experience wasn't impressive. Very little seating and the radio (ambiance) was set to wild ass, nauseating, acid rock that was so loud that you couldn't hear the person next to you and the signal kept cutting out so often that it became annoying. Love this little family owned pizza joint tucked away in an unexpected strip mall in Port Orange! Being from Ormond, it's a bit of a trek but we originally attended a kids cooking class there (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!) and knew we had to bring the whole family back to try it! We love the family feel and how much they cater to the kiddos...even giving my daughter a fresh ball of dough to play with at the table while waiting. The restaurant is so clean that we didn't even mind letting our littlest run around a bit and explore! We ordered the wings with boss sauce (a mix of all of them) and they were crisp and heavily sauced...so yummy! We also got adventurous and ordered a half pickle and half Big Mac pizza. Both were so yummy and perfectly loaded up with toppings. I moved to Port Orange a few months before COVID from South Philly. I was born & raised in Philly, lived in NYC for a 7yr stint in the middle. I'm always skeptical of any place outside of Philly having at the very least, an "acceptable" cheesesteak as I found out during my time in NYC. WELL...... Alberto's not only has an "acceptable" cheesesteak, it would certainly be in my TOP 10 if this were Philly, MAYBE top 5! I'm a purist so I got the cheesesteak with American & onions, it was outstanding! Great quantity & ratio of meat to cheese and I'm almost certain that they get their hands on Amoroso rolls, which are a NECESSITY in a great cheesesteak. Also, got a stromboli that I haven't eaten yet b/c the cheesesteak was so filling (and I am not a small man) so will have to get back around for the Stromboli review. I'm ecstatic that I now have a legitimate taste of home in Port Orange. Keep it up Alberto's, you have a new customer for life. read more

recently moved to the area and Alberto's was recommended by a Sicilian friend. I grew up in Manhattan and worked at Luigi's Pizza Parlor as a kid in NYC. I'm very picky w/ pizza. Me and my family were passing through after leaving the beach. We went to 3 different places but none of them were what we were looking for then we found Alberto's. Let me say OH MY GOSH the customer service was top tier Christina and Jessica were so nice and helpful they were consistent with checking in and made some conversation. And the food? we tried the spaghetti bread first and it was out of this world we were full with just that, the size was generous and the flavors were packed in even though we got it with just marinara instead of the original meat sauce. Then on to the pizza we got half cheese half pepperoni with a garlic knot crust lemme say that one more time GARLIC KNOT CRUST this as well was packed with flavor and so cheesy the crust with their marinara was so good. I've driven past before but tonight was the first time I had one of their pizzas. I got a Marinos Pizza: Pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, black olives, tomatoes, and sausage. A very typically '60s Chicago style pizza. And it was good. As good as Chicago in my teens when dough, cheese, sauce, sausage & mushrooms WERE the 5 food groups. It's a bit of a drive from Bremerton, but to quote Arnold, "I'll be back." I also got a large Greek salad. It's still in my fridge, but it looks like it'll taste as good as the pizza. Well, all I can say is "this must be a tough business!". Why? Because of employees apparently not caring about the owners trying hard every day to make the best of it. Of course this is not true of everyone there, but for some this certainly applies...let me explain. We have loved Alberto's food and the quality we experienced each and every time we've ordered from there since they came to Port Orange. The last time was no exception, but it will be our LAST time. While sitting and enjoying our garlic knots, we came down to the last one and my wife and I decided to split it. So, she tore a piece off and low and behold within the garlic knot itself was a piece of chewed gum (smelled like wintergreen) see the pic. I called and asked to speak with the owner and he was apologetic and just flabbergasted by the report. I'm sure it had to be a disgruntled employee, because I refuse to believe someone making dough could loose their gum and not realize it. Anyway, it's a sad day because we loved their food and obviously somebody may be trying to sabotage the reputation and the success of their business.
