The amenities are top notch and save for a broken coffee machine here and there, everything has been a great experience. Made an appointment with Janice 3 weeks in advance for a Saturday tour at 11.30 am. I even got an email reminder a week later and confirmed via phone with Janice, again. Got an email cancellation on Friday after 6pm (so no option to reply), the day prior to our appointment. No reason why, just cancelled. Janice knew we were flying in from out of town so it's even more frustrating when you have everything scheduled in advance and they don't even have the courtesy or professionalism to cancel over the phone, provide an explanation or at least an option to reschedule. If this is how they treat potential clients, don't want to know how they treat you once you've signed the lease (although, by reading some of the reviews I can see this is a trend) Kind of glad this happened and was an eye opener. read more

I have lived here for 15 months; this place is unprofessional and gross. Don't be fooled by the "Luxury". In 15 months I have not seen anyone clean these rugs. The pool and jacuzzi have been down in the middle of summer. The Gables has a high turnaround with tenants, maintenance and employees. To make matters worse, I went in person to the leasing office to let the leasing agent know I cannot afford the rent increase. Leasing agent stated that she was going to deduct $100 off and send an email to her manager to see if they can do more than $100. Leasing agent did not send me call or email following up with these conversations. Staff failed to contact me with the new lease. Now, The Gables at Cherry Creek is charging me an extra fee of $105.54 a day for month to month. I should not be charged this daily fee because as a tenant I did my part! *Please be careful as this place has been misleading people* read more

0 stars. This place is honestly one of the worst places I've ever lived. The first couple days I moved in there was no hot water in the whole building and my apartment flooded in some areas coming up from the floor boards. After I had multiple loud fans going for days they said there was still water and likely mold under the fake wood floors now, but they aren't replacing them. I have never had a fully functioning dishwasher. It only works half the time and they will not replace it so I gave up putting in maintenance orders on it because they don't always give you a heads up and I have a dog I need to put up. My apartment door doesn't naturally close itself, they tried to fix this too but, alas, it still doesn't stay closed properly until I'm physically turning the handles back into place. My bathroom sink and shower drains were clogged and it was easier for me to go get snake/unclogging stuff than wait weeks for maintenance to come. They don't have signs for when they shock the pool/hot tub so you never know if you're gonna jump into all the fresh chemicals and damage your skin. They play awful loud music on the pool speakers almost constantly. The locked garage that I pay over $200 a month for was broken for months, but don't worry, they won't refund you your garage payments or take it off your rent for the months it was broken. Not to mention all the crime that happens in the garage that management doesn't tell you about. Neighbors inform you by posting signs in the elevator that someone went through breaking into cars and keying cars. This was not a one time occurrence. I think the worst thing is they have so many hidden fees in the rent that are never consistent. I pay hundreds of dollars extra a month for all these hidden fees that management doesn't want to talk about. 0/10. Would not recommend. read more

We moved in November of 2022 after evacuating our home in FL (hurricane Ian). When we toured the facility we immediately fell in love and signed a lease that same day for 9 months (as pricing went up by the 100's for 12+ months). There was a few issues that we noticed immediately with the apt and the manager had them fixed immediately. However within those 9 months our w/d started leaking and smelling of rotten eggs, our AC stopped working correctly, our disposal stopped running, both fire alarms were old and needed replacement... the list goes on. Maintenance has been in on several occassions and each time we are told the washer is broken and needs replacement they are submitting the order to be approved with front office and then they can replace it when the shipment comes in, We won't hear anything for 2-3 months and then the office calls and asks to send maintenance up to see if it can be fixed. I have explained each time that they have already done this several times and it has been proven each time (by different maintenance people, there is high turnover with all employees here) it is broken. Each time they ask if they can just send someone in again to see if it can be fixed this time. Our AC unit is also still not fixed, and freezes almost immediately after turning on (As of today, they still aren't fixed and we are told we can use an empty apartment to wash our clothes when we need to- we will just need to get ahold of management each time to get the key). In December of 2022 (1 month in apt) we started getting lease renewal letters. A 12 month lease would now be the cheapest option but it raised rent almost $300/month. We reached out to leasing and said we wouldn't be able to stay with the new rate. We were asked if we would stay for just $100 extra/month and we asked if we could just keep it the same. She assured me that it was likely doable and would get ahold of the manager and reach back out. We never heard back. We called down multiple times and was told the manager still had not responded yet. FF to 2 weeks prior to lease expiration date and we noticed rent was taken at almost 2x the normal amount (almost $6000!!) This time we went down to talk to the manager as they still had not let us know about renewal rate. We were told that she was at the other property next door and would send a message, we asked if she could please come now. 15 min later she stormed in clearly annoyed and explained she was the only manager that had to deal with both properties. We were told that refunds weren't allowed but if we wanted to discuss the issue further we would need to get ahold of the new management company they got and that because we were an autopay for rent, it was our fault we started getting the month-to-month charging and we should have taken it off. We were also told that we should have tried to reachout to her sooner, atleast a month prior to renewal was best. When we explained we had been trying to reachout longer than that, we were told there is nothing she can do. At this point it was too late to say we were leaving unless we wanted to eat the extra months rent they had taken. FF to this years lease renewal and they are trying to increase it again, when they just leased our nextdoor neighbors (exact same floorplan) for our current rent amount- over $100 less than what they want to increase our rent to. This time, 2+ months in advance of lease renewal, we went downstairs to speak to a leasing agent first, but they weren't in at that time so we were told a message was sent to them to call us so we can discuss our renewal. Never got a phone call or follow up. We tried calling down 2 additional times (on different dates) and were told again that a message was sent and that someone would be calling us. Never got a follow up to either of those calls. We have tried reaching out multiple times and no one is getting back to us. Our lease expires July 20th and it seems like last years issues are happening all over again. We have done our part (again) at this point, and as on time, complying tenants we deserve much more respect and professionalism than this. We are extremely disappointed to say the least! read more

I've been a resident for 1.5 years and cannot wait to move. The amenities on the 8th floor are beautiful no doubt, but the culture inside is very toxic. Here are a few facts: 1. The concierge is not 24 hours. Also, only one concierge is available at a time, which is not enough for this huge complex. You have to hunt them down! 2. There is no guest parking. Street parking is very limited due to construction, and M-F street parking is only 2 hours. Cherry Creek tickets are $50 each. 3. The staff has turned over multiple times in 18 months. Don't bother getting to know their names because they won't be there long. 4. There is a lot of car theft --right from the garage. 5. The on sight manager must always be right which means residents are always wrong. read more

I moved in two months ago and this has been a really nice experience. The staff is extremely friendly and they always make me feel very comfortable. The amenities are outstanding, from the game room to the pool and gym and they even have a state of the art coffee machine. The online rent pay and maintenance tickets orders are very simple and convenient. Are you looking for a place to live? Broadstone on 9th, The Henry, Parq on Speer, literally living in the back of your car would be BETTER than living here. Let's start with management, Joseph or Joey, is new because they can't seem to keep staff at this location. Everyone was extremely hopeful he could keep this place together but it seems he has only made it worse. The staff is extremely unprofessional, they have an outright disregard for basic human kindness, they have zero desire to assist you and that's even if you can actually find someone in the apartment as other reviews have stated, they appear to show up to work 1/7 days a week. The place is run by the concierge staff, which also has an extremely high turnover rate so chances are they won't be able to assist you either. What you can expect, and where your $2000-4000 rent is not going: -They funnel all their money to buying lamps, couches, table books, pretty much anything they can get their hands on from Wayfair or Amazon to distract you from the fact that your actual apartment will be outdated and at the bottom of the list. -The parking garage is on a sensor system, which never works unless you are a petty thief apparently as I got several emails throughout my lease reporting car break-ins and actual FULL CARS being stolen. -Chances are you will spend your entire lease being looked in on by construction workers at the place they are building next door. I should add, the building took over a year longer than expected (still isn't done) and still actually isn't leased in 50% of the building. -A plethora of maintenance issues, that they will come to fix by putting a bandaid on just long enough for you to move out so that they can charge you for it. I met several people saying that they are taking the Gables to small claims court, which clearly makes sense now. -Thinking about having a friend over? The place is harder to get into than Fort Knox unless you count the homeless man that sleeps in the service elevator... true story. -Think the amenities are what it is all about? Residence can't seem to handle glassware and break something in either the hot tub or the pool or both, so count those out this summer! The pool table? Looks fun, check for the pool cues and you will find that you actually have to go from the 8th floor to the 1st floor to even ask to use them. The electric bikes they show presented on the ground level didn't work once. What is clear: your money isn't going anywhere but the pockets of Joey. Do yourself a favor and don't bother looking at this place or even giving it a second thought. Perhaps after Joey gets fired there will be someone who can make this place worth living. read more

I've called the Gables CC home for the past two years and have been so happy as a resident. The staff is friendly, professional and accomodating - with special marks to Brittany in the leasing office and the entire maintenance and concierge crews for always going above and beyond for me and my family. The facilities are spectacular - from the gym to the pool to the theatre and common areas. Covid has admittedly created some challenges but I'm satisfied that Gables has done everything possible to keep everyone safe without sacrificing the things that make the property special. We checked out a number of places in the area and Gables was the best by far (even against far more expensive options). At a time when we're all spending more time at home than normal, I'm so grateful to be here. read more

The Gables Tour: The tours I had at both Gables Cherry Creek and Gables Vista were the most professional tours experienced. All three beautiful Gables properties are within a block of each other, stylistically different but are managed conceptually the same: Its a unique and wonderful modern lifestyle. I was guided through Gables Creek by the impeccable, respectful John Hernandez, who patiently helped me find a unit that met my constraints. Gables is fortunate to have John as he gives a great first impression of what to expect living here. I am so pleased with my decision, it has exceeded my expectations. Staff: From my experiences so far the entire staff is outstanding and work hard to meet the needs of the residents and fulfill the mission of Gables. The manager Joey, the assistant manager Janice, leasing agent Brittany, Mark the service manager, and John, from the maintenance team... without fail have been been exceptional and respectful in their efforts to assist. I must say the same for the concierge staff, in particular, Michigan. This is a dedicated, proud, competent, team that works together well to achieve excellence. And in a pandemic no less. My Unit/The Building: I love the clever use of space in my unit, the huge windows/door, the deep soak tub and the building: Its solid and beautifully, thoughtfully architected, the interior design is delightful, understated luxury using natural materials and cohesive finishes throughout with a subtle nod to its Colorado home. The view and amenities on the roof...outstanding and exceptional. I am so happy I picked Gables Creek, I felt at home here right away and feel well cared for. I expect to stay awhile! read more

The worst place ever all these staff think about is How to charge Money for everything there is not a single thing they have helped me with the only thing they are Good at is making things worse and charging extra fees. I have never done a review but I felt this was necessary, if I can save one person from choosing this building I will be happy. I have lived here nearly 6 months now and it has been terrible. A lot of people are moving out. Everything looks good actually the whole building is top class that's what catches the eye but the people who work in the building are awful. Most of the time when I go to use the fitness on demand, it doesn't work. So don't count on that amenity! If you do get it to work, the Nora Tobin work outs are great. If you have children, don't bother looking at this place. New policies exclude children from the pool and hot tub locations unless you sit in these sites with them at all times. So if the child needs to go back and forth from the pool to the hot tub to warm up to the pool to play, you must do the same. If the pool were adequately heated, not such a huge issue as they could avoid the hot tub, unless you wanted to grill out while your child swam. Now adults acting like children throwing a football across the entire pool deck into doughnut shaped inflatable rafts, no problem. Security guards on the pool deck are also asked to be overbearing. One asked a resident to clean up glasses and a mess that were not hers. Wow, you're getting paid, how about you clean it up? Also, watch the fine print on the lease. If you are ever late on a payment by even a few days (they are 10 yrs behind the times having no auto payment function), they will lock you out of your account and force you to get a cashier's check to pay or be evicted. Friendly. The only concierge service that I've ever experienced in a high end building that won't take packages. You have to pay for a service and if you don't sign up quick enough the concierge will actually have packages returned to sender rather than keep them for you and won't even let you know. Appalling! Bikes and cars have been stolen. Maybe make sure cameras in garage function . . . Hot tub frequently doesn't work. You have 1, yes 1, slow elevator to the lobby that will lock out so your fob doesn't work. Happens weekly for me. And Verizon cell service is very limited. Calls get dropped continuously in my apartment. Dead zones all over the premises. The concierge staff are very friendly, but it's always someone new. Gables is a horrible company from my experience. But why care about your residents, there is so much money to be made. Denver is growing, so there is always someone else ignorant of their bad behavior. read more

I've been very fortunate to call this place home since last year. I saw many buildings, all over Denver, but Gables felt like home the moment I walked in my very first time. Great staff. All the girls up front are exceptional and know you by first name. The building manager is a great guy, with a plethora of experience and is very outgoing and willing to help. They can help you with anything and they truly make it special. Concierge service is great and I've gotten to know most of them. The building, it's quality, amenities and location speak for themselves. The rooftop pool and gym, best in the city. The views from our apartment facing the mountains is pinch me wow. The price you pay and the quality you get I feel are a solid bargain. It's not cheap, but it's also not overpriced for what you get. If high caliber residents, high end amenities, high end touches from quartz to gorgeous tiled showers are at the top of your wants then look no further than here. I love calling this place home and so will you. read more

I am sorry to say but this place has become such a disappointment. The management seems clueless how to keep good tenants happy. They emphasize sparse and bitter complaints about children being loud at the pool while ignoring simple tasks to keep their residents happy. In my opinion, one of the nicest thing about this complex is the liveliness of the families who live here. I don't have any children, but I used to go to the pool to be part of that fun and friendly environment. Now, they hired a security guard to patrol the "wild" children and intimidate the rest of the residents making the common area a hostile environment. I truly hope that the management realizes it's failures before it ruins its reputation and most concernigly loses its current and prospective family oriented tenants. read more

I love our apartment. The location is perfect for us! The very friendly staff worked with us to find the best floor plan for our needs and our furniture fit exactly as I had hoped. I had put in a couple maintenance requests for minor things and two very nice gentleman showed up the next day and took care of everything. I really appreciated the quick response. All of the staff made this transition so easy and enjoyable. The building is beautifully maintained and smells clean (if you have toured a lot of apartments you will understand how the awful smells put you off the whole building) The common areas/amenities and views on the 8th floor are amazing. My dogs are treated to the same friendly welcome and the area around the building is well lit for late night walks. I am extremely happy that we chose Gables Cherry Creek. read more

Basically, horrible. Great until you sign the lease. VERY corporate, which means you do not matter to them, and their stupid policies are in neither theirs or the tenants best interests. Was completely nickel and dimed when my lease was up. I left my place in pristine condition, and they found a way to charge me over $200 to move out, including $5 for cleaning dryer lint. The hot tub hardly ever worked when I was hoping to use it, nor was it hot. The security guard that patrols the pool makes you always feel like you are under surveillance, and when I was with a friend enjoying the view on 8th floor, was asked to leave, even when the place was empty. I enjoyed the pool at night by myself, but was kicked out at 10pm, which is way too early for us working folks. The architects who built the building are clueless, and only put one elevator in the front. I wondered how is this possible for a building this size? For what you pay, and how you are treated, I have had much better experiences in other apartments. I would never recommend Gables to a friend. Don't be fooled by the beauty of the property. The executives who run this company are clueless too. It's all about their rules and profit. read more

Do not rent here!! The building is like a crazy zoo with dogs barking in hallways no matter what time of day or night it is. It's not what they promise you when you sign the lease. It's not their fault that I stayed there as long as I did and it wasn't cheap for all the neglect. I should have known by a simple fact - there were at least four building managers in and out during the time I stayed there. Almost everybody from the whole staff lasts only a few months. This is the first and the only bad review I have ever given in my whole life. read more

I have to give credit where credit is due and update my review posted in January. Since new management (aka Amy) took over a few months ago we have seen a complete shift in the culture here. Amy has changed the focus from all about Gables to all about the resident and it is evident. Every complaint we had was met with complete empathy and was addressed immediately. We had a few issues with the construction crew, but they came up with a solution to make everyone's lives easier. Additionally, I have noticed improvements with repairs and communication from the staff to the residents on events, community notices or things that will be out of commission in the future (that was basically non-existent prior to her arrival). When it comes to security/safety they have been very proactive in making the residents informed and offering solutions to help remedy. We now have security back on the property, mirrors installed in the garages and they even brought in DPD to discuss neighborhood safety and awareness. Really our only complaint now would be the other residents not respecting each other in common areas...but you can't really blame Gables for that, can you? It really is a shame that such a beautiful building was left with such a bad reputation due to the people running the show. I am hopeful we are going to have a good year here (yes, we released). read more

Families be forewarned - Gables Cherry Creek management creates and enforces rules that discriminate against you and prevent you from having full enjoyment of the community. All multi-dwelling unit communities should certainly maintain and enforce rules that allow all residents to live comfortably and safely. The key word is "all." In recent months, Gables Cherry Creek management has implemented and enforced new rules that prevent children from simply being children. Management went so far as to send residents with children an e-mail that was almost threatening in its message. In contrast, other rules that are not targeted at families are not enforced. Management prefers to focus time instead on creating anti-kid rules that affect families' abilities to enjoy the community amenities - which are touted as family-friendly to prospective residents. A specific example of how families are treated unfairly relates to use of the hot tub. Management created a new rule that children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult while in the hot tub. There is no support for such an onerous rule. It is apparent that management is catering to the minority of residents who share its anti-family sentiment. Perhaps those residents should have focused on an adults-only community. Other shortcomings at Gables Cherry Creek include: routinely overflowing trash cans in the parking garage and on the amenity floor, substandard cleanliness in hallways, frequent turnover at the concierge desk, and inappropriate number of elevators to support the number of floors/residences. I gave the community 2 stars instead of 1 for these reasons: great location, nicely appointed residences, Lynsee (a friendly, professional leasing consultant who has been at the community for over 1-year), and GREAT neighbors in the form of FAMILIES. read more

We've been residents for 2.5 yrs and have been through some growing pains with management, upkeep, resident/guest/security incidents and construction. The great location, high end buildout, lovely views, super amenities, great maintenance team, and that Gables keeps trying to get it right has kept us renewing our lease. There has been a number of personnel changes which makes it tough on both staff and residents but the current temporary bldg mgr, Nathan, has been great in resolving a recent construction cleaning issue, so that's encouraging and we've heard that Gables is making a concerted effort to turn things around. A few bad residents and/or their guests leave their mark at any complex and that's what is noticed but overall ours is a nice community of neighbors and helpful staff who respect the beautiful building and people who live here. One of the main hopes going forward is that management walk the floors occasionally and then schedule the fixing/cleaning of non routine items needing attention (e.g., scratched elevator interiors, cleaning of entry areas to garage, getting residents to remove non furniture items from balconies, and when construction is done, clean the windows more often). read more

The staff are more then accommodating until you sign the lease. We were sold on the amenities that the gables has to offer. My husband and I would get up in the morning and want to go get a cup of coffee and sit on the deck on the eighth floor 75% of the time the coffee machine didn't work. Then Gables stopped providing cups. We found out the Jets on the jacuzzi are rarely working. The excuses is that a resident hit the emergency stop button and can't be reversed once it is has been pushed. Had friends over to barbecue on the eighth floor amenities deck but the BBQ igniter didn't work. Concierge didn't have a lighter to light the broken grill. The music on the floors comes and goes. Just to name a few of the things that are frustrating about living there . We decided to just stop trying to enjoy the complex it was more aggravating then it was worth . If you have a dog they have dog stations but frequently you have to remind them to fill it. Many of the homeowners just didn't pick up the dog poop so you have to watch where you walk. Although now they're implementing DNA testing for animals that become new residents. It's like Managment never gets out of there offices to see what is happening on the premises. Only a complaint will get the place in order. I felt for the price I shouldn't have to make complaints to have the complex maintained. read more

We were so excited to join Gables Cherry Creek as first tenants and committed to a lease before they even opened. We felt we were dealing with 'individuals' who cared about us as individuals as part of their growing community, but once we moved in and the check was cashed, we became part of the corporate giant called "Gables". It was far from a community experience as advertised. I will simply say, the move out charges we received were absolutely absurd. $5 for dryer lint I thought was absurd, but the tipping point for us after investing over $30,000 in rent occurred when we found our missing keys two weeks after the move out expiration date. The value of those lost keys was noted at $350. When we communicated with excitement that we had found them, we were told to "throw them in the trash" because they are not worth anything to them. I called to ask for them to consider the implications of throwing away a perfectly good fob, keys, and amenity passes, but was told that's the policy. So, yes its a beautiful place with a beautiful view, but if you are looking for true community spirit, I recommend you look elsewhere. read more

Getting ready to sign a lease for another year. Been here 2 years so far. Every place has issues to deal with. It is what happens when you have so many people living in one spot. Things break, things get dirty, things don't work properly...it happens. BUT, what sets Gables apart is it's people. Amy Mark, truly listens to issues and wants to know the bad and the good things going on. She will even walk with you to see issues that are there. She is busy, Gables is a business after all, but she will make time for you. Eric in maintenance, is also a breath of fresh air. He will get things done as quickly as he can, keep you up to date of time frames and follow up to make sure things are working well. The rest of the staff is also friendly and attentive to deal with. This is what makes it a great place to be. They really seem to care and understand that life changes and needs change too. My hat goes off to them and to Gables!!! read more
