I asked her why she was so hostile and in my face for a service i prepaid $150 for, and i advised that if it cut into my 90 minutes then so be it for him to set up properly. But that no one is Allowed up while i am not Home. I let her know her customer service was horrible for the fact that i was in my apartment at 938 and she's yelling and whining on the phone to me how i could do such a thing. She proceeded to hang up and cancel our appt. I then proceeded to text saying we don't mind if we lose 5 minute of our appt and she had already cancelled our appt and made the therapist leave due to her saying i have an attitude, i am entitled and immature. Entitled to the appt i paid for and waited a week for? Yes i am entitled to the service i paid for and was sitting in my apartment at 938 waiting for. Immature ? I was not the one who hung up on a client and then proceeded to rage text them about how they don't do business with people who have bad vibes and cancel An appt again that i paid for. After years of searching for alternative treatments, I finally decided to try acupuncture. In all honesty, I was very skeptical. I am not a fan of needles, but living with pain at least 4 days a week every month is unbearable. So, after intense googling & web searching, I found Veronica's practice. I choose her office because it was nearby and her website shows that she specializes in women's issues. On my first visit, I was in pain and I was floored when my pain just vanished after one session. I considered that maybe it was all in my head, but after three months I am convinced that acupuncture has definitely alleviated my painful periods. It also helps that Veronica is such a wonderful & caring person. She really takes time to listen and ask questions that may or may not even pertain to your treatment. MIRACLE!! I burned my skin with undecylenic acid (not meant to be topical) thinking I had a huge…read moreround ringworm on my face. Turns out it was eczema and a bad reaction to my new makeup (fragrance/heavy metals/talc). So I had a burn that triggered the worst case of eczema I've ever seen/had! Red/puffy/hard/thick textured skin and completely unrecognizable all over my face! Everything irritated it from organic aloe, Manuka honey, sensitive skin care etc. I tried every eczema treatment I could find online like Gladskin etc. Nothing helped and was getting worse. I couldn't open my mouth without it pulling my eyelids down I was so inflamed. I place my trust in holistic/Chinese medicine since it's the only thing to give me solutions to my "impossible" problems my whole life. I remember seeing Dr. Chen's work on some other patients with eczema a couple months ago so I made an appointment determined she could fix me in a month like the other patients. She was so sweet and caring. I could tell she genuinely felt for me when I walked in.. She told me my face was "hot". Now, I'm familiar with Chinese medicine. It's all about balance. In the past my gut was like a "cold/swamp" meaning I needed "desert" to balance it. So when she said "hot skin" I realized my extremely hot baths aren't helping. I made it a point to take warm not hot baths and to rinse with cooler water. Washed my face with cool water too. She told me to stick to a gluten free diet. I'm already on the carnivore diet for my histamine intolerance so she said no mangoes or pineapple and to limit honey. Gave me a very relaxing acupuncture session. Then sent me home with herbs to make a topical tea out of and an herbal tea to take internally. (I'm breastfeeding my 10 month old still and all was safe, no reactions for either of us.) 2 hours after I left her office I made the topical tea.. I soaked a wash cloth in it and placed on my face for 10 minutes. I kid you not, when I took the washcloth off my face my redness went away 80%!! (See photos below). My boyfriend was even blown away! Every day was a DRASTIC healing difference. Today is 7 days exactly from my first visit and my skin is beautiful and perfect again! I'm 99% better. Ever so slight redness in 2 spots and slight texture left but no one would even notice except for me. The last 2 days I even slacked and only did one topical tea application and not the directed 2. So I'm sure tomorrow I'll be 100%. She told me to moisturize as well. For my moisturizer, I used Silver Miracles Colloidal Silver Cream and their Colloidial Silver Salve (read their reviews!). They also have a soap that's gentle and amazing (all from Amazon and very affordable). I then got from Etsy a homemade Tallow/Marrow healing cream (also very affordable!). Only day 2, best stuff yet for moisturizer, healing, and softening skin. I recommend as a night cream that won't rub off on pillows since staying moisturized through the night is half the healing.) I think this is important to note: Dr. Chen works with great intention. So when receiving help, follow her direction with intention and the intention that you WILL heal. I think that's something we've lost as a society and important for results. Overall, this has to be some kind of Guinness world record of healing severe eczema! Thank you Dr. Chen!! I remembered that he graduated from the best traditional Chinese university in China which is the Shanghai traditional Chinese medicine school. So I searched nearby acupuncturist, sure enough I found this practice. Even though the webpage says he has been practicing for 16years I think that is old information. If he is the acupuncturist I saw back 20 years ago, then I highly recommend him. I had a serve case of back pain at that time, I couldn't even sit for half an hour, and tried everything desperately. I had MRI which showed a serve herniated disk but no nerve pain in my legs or feet. So the doctors told me it was muscle spasm. He prescribed me various meds, but Pain killer knocked me out for 16 hours and muscle relaxant made me talk slow and funny...Western medicine has no effective ways to deal with pain except to block it with pain killer. I didn't believe in Chinese medicine but Finally i resorted to acupuncturist. To my amazement, after about 5 visits, my back was cured 80%. He said no more visits, you don't need it anymore, which I appreciated a lot. I have since recommend acupuncture to my friends with back pain but always end with: sorry he is Miami When my friends ask for my acupuncturist info. I hope more people with back pain will see acupuncturist because it really helped me, together with strengthening my core muscle .
