So, being new parents, we have no idea what we're doing. But, lucky us! - we received tons of…read moreclothes as gifts from the baby shower and also from our loving and over zealous family members. Around Christmastime, we actually found the need to purchase baby's first clothes ourselves. While out shopping we decided to stop and look at Carter's, which I knew had really cute clothes. If you are familiar with Kohl's, Carter's is pretty much the same concept....everything in the entire store is always 'on sale' or 'clearance items'. But, no biggie, we got some great deals. The hubs and I bought 3 sleepers, 5 onesies and 2 matching pairs of pants, 2 tops, and 1 jumper for less than $40. Not too shabby. I returned recently to Carter's to exchange an outfit that was bought for our daughter for Christmas. Super adorable, but unfortunately too small. I also had a $50 gift card, so I planned on exchanging the outfit and shopping some. This is when I encountered my first problem with Carter's. The young lady that waited on me said that I could only exchange the outfit for store credit since I didn't have a receipt or gift receipt. I told her that was fine, and was actually what I expected. I planned on shopping anyway. She returned the items, but not until after procuring my name, email, and phone number. I was given a total for the exchange, but she would not give me a receipt, gift card, or anything that had the total of my credit on it. I asked, but she said, "I will leave the paper right here by the register". I said, "Well, what if you're not here when I go to check out?" She said it was fine and that it had my name on it, etc. Whatever. I ended up purchasing 5 onesies with 2 matching pairs of pants, 3 pairs of fleece pants, a pair of jeans with suspenders (so cute), 2 sleeper sacks, 2 tops, and a one-piece winter fleece jumper (not sure what it's called exactly...) All for less than $68. I actually spent $.43 due to my gift card and the "store credit", which was held hostage up at the register. The cashier (different girl) who checked me out was unfriendly and not at all personable. Overall, the clothing is reasonably priced, since like I said it's always on sale, and is very cute. Since babies grow out of things so fast, it is silly to spend a lot of money, in my opinion. Just don't expect to get the best customer service. Also, do not sign up for emails. You will receive a minimum of 3 a day, from both Carter's and Osh Kosh.

This particular Ross is in the Greengate Centre shopping center. I occasionally shop at Ross to search their racks and shelves for bargains. During my visit here, I looked throughout the store but especially in the women's clothing and home goods. The shelves and racks appeared to be fully stocked and organized. The prices were reasonable. For example, I saw a pack of several pairs of Calvin Klein underwear for $22, a Henckels ceramic pan for about $25, a 6-pack of Skechers socks for several dollars, a nice sundress for $18, and a Michael Kors purse for $63. Those bargains were tough to pass up (I am still thinking about them!), but I did buy a cellphone cord and a dog toy. The cashier rang up my purchase properly.

I was actually surprised that this Ross does not look like others. By that I mean that there is…read moreactual product in here that you can look through. The store doesn't look half empty and they didn't do that thing where they rearranged everything in the store making it confusing to find things. I came in today looking for a few items and really didn't find anything to my liking. I browsed all the racks that I could to find some clothes and it's always hit or miss because you can't always find what you want when you want it here. The employees seemed rather happy to be working and helpful when they can can be. I find it odd that they have now moved the fitting rooms to the front of the store and there is no one really there to man them now. So if you are alright with waiting a bit then you can definitely spend some time in here.

What a great little shop! I needed new dance shoes for my chorus costume and the ones I usually…read moreget through Amazon were no longer available. Someone suggested Dancer's Closet and I'm glad I checked them out. The store has anything and everything dance related. Dance clothes, leotards, pants, shirts, shoes, bags, tights, jewelry and trinkets. The dance shoes are on display on the side of the store. When you know which shoe you want to try on, the staff will get it for you from a back room. The little stools to sit on while trying the shoes on are fairly comfortable and the area where you try things on is spacious. She brought me several pairs in a variety of sizes and widths (because dance shoes can run strangely). I was happy to find a pair that worked perfectly. While I was there, I also wanted to look at tap shoes for my daughter. She just started tap and since we aren't sure if she is going to stick with it (and because kid's feet grow so quickly) I didn't want to pay full price. The clerk was able to find a sale pair at their other location and had it sent over to the Murrysville store for me! That was great service because a lot of stores would have tried to convince me that paying the $30 for shoes for her was worth it. If you are a dancer (or have one in your life) I recommend checking out this cute shop and supporting a local business.
