Gabriele's is an adorable German gift shop with a small bakery case of homemade delights. We were driving down Main St and pulled over after spotting their sign. Glad we did! Since it's late fall, there was a good stick of traditional German decor, mostly spinners, smokers and other wood carvings. If you're looking for glass or pewter ornaments there weren't a ton, but there are some. Having been up traditional Christkindmarkts both in the US and Germany, I thought their prices were really very fair on the decor items. You can also stock up on traditional German candies, mustards, soup/sauce mixes and spaetzel. The real winner is that pastry case though! Expect 10-15 kinds of homemade German cookies and a dozen kinds of handmade chocolates. Prices are VERY reasonable at $9/dozen where you can mix and match. We got a dozen assorted things and my group agreed it was all DELICIOUS! The lady working was as sweet as the treats they sell. Definitely worth seeking out!

Delicious treats and a great stop in town. Gabriele creates a large variety of German cookies and sweets.

They remind me so much of my grandmothers recipes that they must have originated in the same region of Germany.

The afternoon we were there, it was extraordinarily blustery outside, with dirt being whipped around town as their major through road area was under construction. We parked our vehicle and walked a block or two to Coco, where we got a hot beverage to sip on while enjoying the hot blueberry turnover that had just come out of their oven. It was sooo delicious! Flaky pastry folded over generous, intensely-flavored blueberry filling. The experience brought me right back to childhood memories of eating the frozen ones made by Pepperidge Farms that you baked in the oven at home. It was the rare occasion that my mom bought a box or two of them (there were 4 per box, and there were 5 members in my family), most likely, when they were "on sale" at a local grocer. The decor inside the place was very colorful, quirky, funny, awesome! Will make it a point to visit this place again when I'm in the area!

After waiting in line for 20 minutes, we were only then told that hot food would take nearly an hour. That's something the line should be updated on every few minutes so people can decide whether to wait or not. The staff were very kind and efficient, and the girls with intolerances were happy to see such a large variety of options. They definitely need a bigger space to handle weekend rushes, but I get it, small town charm. The food and drinks we had were pretty good and overall fine, aside from the wait and the last minute news about the hot food. Would recommend for the people with intolerances but keep in mind it might take a while!

The highlight is everything at the counter area. There are a variety of chocolates and delish baked treats to choose from. Last time I was there they had a peanut butter s'mores that was excellent. Also caramel filled cupcakes that I didn't get but I was VERY tempted. I have tried the cookies and they are great, several variety of chocolates and other treats to try. I have yet to have anything I wouldn't get again. Beyond that there is a selection of candies of the gummy and Taffy varieties. Along the back wall are maple syrups, caramel sauces (highly recommend!), Preserves I think, some little knickknacks etc. They also maybe have ice cream and serve some food at various times? I have yet to try any of that, but I'd expect good things. In addition to all that, they take requests. My husband ordered a French Silk pie for my birthday (it is my favorite) and despite having not made one before (so I was told) she signed on and whipped one up. It was fantastic! So be sure to check the place out. It's a cute store with awesome treats. As they say, Treat yo self!

Ordered specialty drinks outside after 3 p.m. Inside was closed so only outside menu was available. Two of our drinks were not as pictured on the board outside (a main ingredient was missing). We approached staff who stated only "sorry we are out of that." We planned to sit outside but there are only 4 chairs (party of 4) and one was dirty so we left to eat elsewhere in town. It was closing time for this business. The two drinks that were incorrect were VERY sour. I ate part of mine ($8 ea) but did not finish and we went to another local business and ordered a different drink for my spouse (tossed both of these in the trash) as she stated Her's was also too sour (and she typically likes sour). We decided to contact the business via social to request a refund. The owner did not take responsibility, blamed us and made false accusations. They stated we were refunded but given the name calling they engaged in and unusual nature of the message we received we told them it appears they must have confused us with another customer so I'm unsure if we were actually refunded. I let them know this and I stated they need to apologize and they then blocked us. We would never act inappropriate in any way. To imply so is insulting. The experience ruined our day. We will never again frequent this business.
