What a gem! Harbor House is a terrific little shop with some seriously delicious treats. If in…read moreWashburn, I highly recommend a stop. The store isn't big but it packs in a nice variety. The highlight is everything at the counter area. There are a variety of chocolates and delish baked treats to choose from. Last time I was there they had a peanut butter s'mores that was excellent. Also caramel filled cupcakes that I didn't get but I was VERY tempted. I have tried the cookies and they are great, several variety of chocolates and other treats to try. I have yet to have anything I wouldn't get again. Beyond that there is a selection of candies of the gummy and Taffy varieties. Along the back wall are maple syrups, caramel sauces (highly recommend!), Preserves I think, some little knickknacks etc. They also maybe have ice cream and serve some food at various times? I have yet to try any of that, but I'd expect good things. In addition to all that, they take requests. My husband ordered a French Silk pie for my birthday (it is my favorite) and despite having not made one before (so I was told) she signed on and whipped one up. It was fantastic! So be sure to check the place out. It's a cute store with awesome treats. As they say, Treat yo self!

We've had good experiences here in the past and are not ones to leave reviews but our experience…read moretoday was unacceptable. Ordered specialty drinks outside after 3 p.m. Inside was closed so only outside menu was available. Two of our drinks were not as pictured on the board outside (a main ingredient was missing). We approached staff who stated only "sorry we are out of that." We planned to sit outside but there are only 4 chairs (party of 4) and one was dirty so we left to eat elsewhere in town. It was closing time for this business. The two drinks that were incorrect were VERY sour. I ate part of mine ($8 ea) but did not finish and we went to another local business and ordered a different drink for my spouse (tossed both of these in the trash) as she stated Her's was also too sour (and she typically likes sour). We decided to contact the business via social to request a refund. The owner did not take responsibility, blamed us and made false accusations. They stated we were refunded but given the name calling they engaged in and unusual nature of the message we received we told them it appears they must have confused us with another customer so I'm unsure if we were actually refunded. I let them know this and I stated they need to apologize and they then blocked us. We would never act inappropriate in any way. To imply so is insulting. The experience ruined our day. We will never again frequent this business.

Fudge and truffles in the case, housemade--you can see the operation in the back. On the shelves... everything else that you can think of: coffee, cocoa mix, spice blends, fancy chocolate bars, various sweets such as "moose poop", "deer poop", and "unicorn poop" aka chocolate-covered almonds, chocolate-covered raisins, and jelly beans. I bought some licorice caramels and got my son to try them, which is a major dad victory. I also picked up a variety of craft soft drinks from Northern Soda Company, based in the Twin Cities (they missed a real opportunity here to call it Minne-soda!). The proprietor said that they're the only shop in the area that carries it. They sell a sampler box as well as loose cans for a make-your-own four-pack. It's all made with real sugar and it's very good, kind of sweet but just drink it over ice on a hot day. Of course there are classics such as cola, root beer, ginger ale, and cream soda, but also black cherry, apple, blue raspberry, and some other enticing-sounding flavors e.g. Sunday Purple, North Coast Cooler, and Pontoon Punch. I kinda wanted to try them all! Next time.
