That's how it WAS. they've renovated, and in 2024 chic, it looks and feels like a drab, sterile cafeteria. You no longer order based on what's caught, nothing is as fresh as it was and the staff are dismissive to the point of being rude. It's filled with fake ocean props and displays that seem totally at odds with the new modern stylings. Prices have gone up, serving size has gone down and what was a quaint gem hidden on the way to Port Arthur has now Been gentrified in the most disappointing way possible. I wouldn't recommend it on its own, unless you happen to be passing through anyway.

It worked great! - There are a lot of great beers on tap, including several from Hobart Brewing Company. - Based on prior reviews, my wife and I ordered the Fish and Chips and the Seafood Chowder to split both dishes between us. The Fish and Chips were excellent, not overly breaded and the fish was perfectly cooked, very juicy. And, it came with a little salad. The Seafood Chowder was really good, including the bread that came with it. - The vibe inside is really fun, just a bit loud as you would expect a pub to be.
