The receptionist or the person that answered the phone asked me if I just want to ask him for free some questions or am I looking to hire him. I said both, I am having tenant issues in one of my SFH and I could use his consultation. She than told me that he is not taking on any new clients. Why did she ask me those questions in the first place if he is not taking on any new clients. It was her tone and she was unprofessional. I would never hire her to answer my phones! After finding the perfect home online we booked the very first showing of the home for the next morning. We arrived no less than 5 minutes after the house was opened to realtors and found 3 other realtors and families already on site. As expected we were in love with the house. But everyone else was too. We knew we had to act quickly if we had any chance of having our offer being accepted. Christy's ability to read the market, the sellers, and the competition, then further formulate an offer and expeditiously submit the offer gave us the edge! We couldn't throw more money at the house than asking price, but Christy made sure we made our bid as desirable as possible to the sellers. Despite other offers being made our offer was the one the sellers selected. A quick phone call and minor modification to the terms that same evening Christy had us a signed sales contract! That attorney was a bit too…read morebusy to handle a complex custody case and I like when the person I'm paying is responsive and let's me know what is happening if I ask a question and not ignore me for days at a time. I spoke to several others in the area and Johnathan was the ONLY one to give me a straight and honest response about my case. He did not give me false hope by telling me I would get everything I asked for. He instead was realistic with me and he is extremely responsive! If I have any sort of issue he responds to my email so quickly and I know that is not the case for most family attorneys. We are still in the process of getting everything ready so I will update how it goes during hearings etc... but so far he's the right guy for the job. When I asked my original attorney about the three people I interviewed he hands down told me Mr. Marks was the way to go and he wouldn't drain my account like the other ones and he is very good at what he does. He is higher per hour than the others but I am perfectly willing to pay for an amazing attorney. He is well worth the money I will be spendings as time goes on.
