He told us the repair would take 3-4 days, but it ended up dragging on for weeks with multiple delays. Eventually, he shipped the computer back to me without my permission, and it arrived with the stand broken and the fan still unfixed. He said he would come fix it once the new fan came in, but after waiting over a month with no resolution, I finally gave up and ordered the fan and a new stand myself and had someone else complete the repairs. The whole process was unnecessarily drawn out, and I ended up having to spend more time and money to get things done right. I would not recommend.

When we asked about it, they said that's normal. (Incredibly annoying!) Then, shortly after she got a strange color blotch on the upper right corner. We didn't think much of it Bc they offer a "lifetime warranty". We took the phone back today at 10:45. They were supposed to open at 10 but no one was there & it was locked. Called the # & they said they were running late. We continued to wait until the guy showed up. He looked at the phone & said it isn't their fault & that they would need another $180 to fix the problem. He claimed that he thought it was because maybe my daughter sat on the phone. I explained to him that I weigh a lot more than my daughter and I said on my iPhone daily, and have never had the issue. He said, "Well, you have an original screen". I told him that I didn't realize that the screen that they replaced it with wouldn't be similar to the original quality of the screen, & he just shrugged his shoulders. I told him that we already spent a lot of money on the screen & didn't want to pay $180 more. He said he couldn't help us under warranty & suggested that my daughter "go be more careful with her phone". Place stinks. Would never use them again. Headed to buy a new phone now. Wish I had never wasted time or money here.

The Gadget Guy is by far the best electronics guy in the DFW. This is my second time using his services and once again he exceeds expectations. The first time I went in I took a PS4 that was having issues with the HDMI port and he was able to replace the ports in a day and even upgraded them to the newer version so that the damage could not happen again!!! This time I took in a desktop that had completely died. I had taken it to the geek squad to get the issue diagnosed they wanted over a $1000 to fix the computer. The gadget guy was able to diagnose, order and repair the computer to like new in just a few days for $100!!! Like I said this guy is the best. Make the smart choice and bring all of your electronic issues to the Gadget Guy, he will take care of you. read more

This guy Charles knows his stuff. I dropped off my PS3 because it barely read discs and then stopped entirely, and he was confident and professional and super cool. I got a text a few hours later "Your PS3 is ready, when do you want to come get it?" And here I am at home playing some Dragon's Dogma, no fuss, no fiddling, it just works now. And it wasn't a gouge, try getting a deal like Gadget Guy's from Sony. Go to this guy. Seriously, if your gadgets aren't working, go to him. He's a local business guy, running his own show, and he has the skills. read more

I've used him on 3 different occasions to fix 2 separate Playstation 3s, an iPhone screen and a Samsung tablet screen, and every time it was quick, reasonably priced and fixed correctly. The only issue I had was about 3 weeks after the iPhone repair the new screen he put in started making phantom lines, but he made it right and replaced it again with a second new screen. highly recommend for all "gadget" repairs! read more

I took my PS4 here to have the HDMI port looked at. I dropped it off Saturday afternoon & received a message it was ready on Monday. I was thoroughly impressed at the turnover!! Mr. Montgomery is very professional, responsive, and educated/ experienced in the electronics department. I definitely recommend him & will go to him for all of my electronic needs. I took my older Kindle Fire to Charles to get the charging port fixed...it had the same known issue of a loose connection to the motherboard....Charles had it ready really fast and I am very happy with the results. I know that separating a Fire isn't easy but he was able to do it and there is no evidence that it was opened. I would recommend Gadget Guy Texas especially if you are a DFW resident. read more

I brought my ps3 to gadget guy because it wasn't reading any disc. He fixed my ps3 in a day and gives you a good warranty. It has been a year since I let him fix my ps3 and it still running great. He is so nice and friendly. He also explains to you what the problem was. The price was very cheap and before you paid he puts a game in to test it out. read more

WILL NOT RIP YOU OFF! How do I know? I emailed him a problem I was having and he told me how to fix it without charging me. Could have easily had me come in and he could have done it and charged me 20$ or somethin but just played me straight. Definitely take broken electronics here for fair and straightforward repairs. read more

I would have loved to have met Charles, but he fixed my Xbox One over the phone. It wasn't working, I explained to him the problem it was having, he said it sounded like the power supply, "spot on", Fixed!
