I had a small PC that burned a GPU and I was trying to get it fixed, so a friend of mine recommended ifixDallas in Plano. I corresponded with Beepin while I was trying to fix this PC and had it with him for probably 3 weeks while we tried different things to get it working. Through no fault of theirs, we were not able to get the GPU working and replacing this type of GPU is very difficult, so I decided not to do that. But they spent a lot of time helping me out on this device and in the end the invoice was very inexpensive and I was very happy with their service. Excellent service, reasonable price. I took a diode laser device here for repair because the manufacturer doesn't service it anymore. The DC port was loose so he replaced it. It was ready in 2 days but he asked me if i wanted to replace the internal lithium ion battery because the currently battery wasnt charging. We had been using the device plugged in for so long we forgot it had an internal battery that holds charge. I said yes and he replaced the internal battery at a reasonable price and had both repairs done in 5 days. Unlike a lot of the repair shops that can only service laptops, tablets and phones, the tech here is truly talented and did a repair for me that otherwise I would have had nowhere to turn. I have a 2015 Macbook Air that was suddenly giving me a "Battery Maintenance" error message and telling me to book an appointment with the Genious Bar to have it fixed. I took my Macbook to the Apple store at the Park Lane Mall. Had to wait 2.5 hours for an appointment at the Genious Bar. Ugh. I tried to tell them that I just needed a battery and didn't need all of their diagnostics. When my appt time arrived, it took the Apple Tech about 2 minutes to agree that my battery was bad. But, they don't service laptops older than 2017 models. Great, nothing wrong other than needing a battery and all they could do was offer to show me new laptops. Not interested. On the way home from the Mall I started searching for places that could fix my Macbook. My search lead me to the I Fix Dallas Mac & PC Service located at 2109 W Parker Road #206 in Plano, 75023. Phone number is 972-836-7574. I called to see if they could replace the battery in my Macbook. I was told they could, but would need to order the battery. It should be delivered in 2 days. Got the call today that the battery had arrived, so I raced over there with my Macbook. The Tech though it might take him an hour to replace the battery, but was finished in barely 15 minutes. Fast, quality service. Reasonable price. My laptop had a problem with wiring through the hinge to the display. Screen would not light up when booted unless positioned just so. I'd have to reposition it and reboot multiple times to get it to light up. Second, if the screen was moved or even jostled by moving the computer the cursor would lock up, necessitating a reboot. iFixDallas replaced a wiring loom and got me back in business in a couple of days. I am an old man but reasonably IT savvy. I was a first-time customer at this shop. My new desktop computer was plagued with overheating problems. Bipin (shop manager) was extremely patient with me as we worked together on the phone to design an approach to improving the system's cooling. We spent more than an hour while he educated me about how to approach the problem. I'm pretty good with software, but I was reluctant to undertake the hardware rebuild. When we had a solution, I bought the parts. When they arrived, I called Bipin, and he told me he had also ordered a bit of cable that I hadn't thought about. When I took my computer to the shop he even helped me carry the box in from my car. The problem was solved, and my computer was back working on my desk the same day. No overheating!
