I can't really say how the service is because I didn't follow up after the $70 or so estimate. I took a 3 or 4 year old tv in and the replacement of the power supply would have cost as much as a new tv. I passed. So $70 down the drain but they at least disposed of the tv for me properly which I appreciate. Very friendly as well. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Affordable Big Screen TV Repair. My 42" RCA LED TV started to have a black screen. The Owner, Alex was able to diagnose it for a nominal fee within 24 hours. He had someone call me on a Saturday. The good news is that it could be fixed, but the bad news is that there were no RCA parts available and it could be weeks or months. Alex does NOT use cheaper parts but only manufacturer's oem parts. He guarantees his work. I made the decision to use the money I was going to spend on the repairs to purchase a 48" LED TV that he serviced with a 90 day warranty. He tested the parts. My family loved the newer 48" tv! The TV in our bedroom recently "died". As part of the repair service ABS TV picked up the TV at the end of the business day and took it to the shop. The next day I received a call explaining the results of the diagnostic tests and the parts necessary to make the TV serviceable. I was told it would take 7 to 10 days to have the parts shipped, installed and an additional day for testing. My fully functional TV was returned in 6 days! My wife is recovering from an illness and spends the major portion of the day in bed reading and watching TV in the bedroom. I think the speedy service has contributed to her recovery! read more

Very disappointed. Paid a lot of money on this place for repair then it suddenly stopped working after only 6 weeks. They are blaming power supply box and upon checking the volts both power supplies from Sony are still working 24V. I was charged not courtesy for $90 (cash or check only) for pick up then I was told the TV is fine and insist on buying their own power supplies for $299. Not recommended, waste of time and waste of money. It's not worth repairing the new tv nowadays. read more

I can't say enough good things about Affordable Big Screen TV Repair. Forget Best Buy and any others. I can attest to their technician Alex being ontime, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He will treat you right and stand behind his work. He took our 65" Samsung plasma and brought it back repaired in 2 days. Unfortunately, a different part then failed 2 weeks later. Alex picked it up, diagnosed the problem, ordered and installed the board at fault, returned the TV, and wouldn't take any more money. Alex Has Done It Again... If anyone is looking for a AWESOME TV Repair GUY, please go see ALEX!! He is definitely GIFTED in turning an old Hand-me-down TV, into a Work of Art. I dropped my TV off with him last week and within a day or so; he figured out the problem, called me to verify if its was okay for him to complete the repairs and had my parts shipped over-night. I called the company and left a message. They called back quickly and asked more about the issue. They told me all about the pricing up front. We made the decision to have them at least look at it. They came and picked it up and took it to the shop, called me back in a few days to give me the complete cost. We decided to go ahead. When he fixed it and brought it back, he also gave us some tips so that particular problem won't happen again. GREAT customer service, and very good value too. They re-soldered the board after not finding any bad parts and tested it for a few days to ensure it was operating correctly. No extra charges!! Guys, I am really not that generous in giving high ratings but I truly have reasons to do so this time...i had a totally malfunctioning 55" Samsung 6 Series Curved TV that had no life in it..no picture, Wifi and Smart TV apps inaccessible ( discovered it later after fixing screen)...Called 1-800-SAMSUNG but got a robotic answer - "TV out of warranty hence go thru useless process protocols of authorized diagnosis that's going to eventually cost almost the cost of TV with parts, labor, etc... then I found ABS TV Repair on Yelp and made a casual call as I had almost made up my mind to discard the TV. ABS TV repair lady precisely understood my problem and suggested me to give it a try to fix the problem. Alex is super expert especially in Samsung repair. He fixed it...He hands down beats Samsung on the repair expertise and on Cost front. Believe it or not but he was almost 1/2 the cost Samsung authorized repair center quoted me (Pre-diagonis) and he also fixed the WiFi problem by replacing a part....at Samsung or any other repair shop it would have been a RIP-off but this business sincerely lived upto their name "Affordable"...ABS TV repair shop folks are (Alex & Lady on the phone) amazingly super efficient on all fronts and it certainly surprised me with their all round service - Listening to problem, quick repair and thorough testing, going an extra mile diagnosing other related problems, service updates, cost explanation and warranty . I called about a broken TV. They told me it would cost $300-500 to repair. Based on that info, I paid the requested up front fee of $80, and they picked up the TV. They called the next day and told me it would cost about $2000 to repair. And they wouldn't give my $80 back. I don't feel good about this place. read more

Our Samsung flat screen Tv was flashing a black screen. We were able to get an appointment the next day. Came out looked at our TV and took it back to their shop. My 4 year old Samsung 65" TV was working great then all of a sudden the picture started going in and out like a strobe light. Checked the internet to see if I could figure out what is was? Did not find a match. Called Samsung, they recommended a company that had a poor customer rating on Yelp so I checked my area and found Affordable Big Screen TV. Paid a bit more initially for Alex to come to the house and pick up TV, he was not sure what problem was until he got TV back to his shop. Told me it would take 3-5 business days. He called me in 4 and delivered my TV in next two days when I was home. Problem ended up being power supply and LED Light panel. Pick up cost went into total repair cost. Repair cost more than I expected, but was in line with costs I found on internet for similar repairs. Even if I overpaid by a little, the customer care and service was worth it. Alex said this is a common breakdown for this generation of LED TV's and gave me hints on how to maximize life of power supply and LED Panels. I would use them again and recommend Alex. read more
