I convinced my friends to have lunch here with me, on our way back to Las Vegas from our extended hiking week. I was feeling bereft of fresh healthy plant-based cuisine, so I was quite pumped when my friends were amendable to trying out Gaia's. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and (I think it was) tomato soup - they were both very delightful. They most definitely tasted healthy, if you know what I mean, which my body was craving at the moment. I wish the sandwich had been less bready with more filling, but I nearly always find myself wishing that! The soup was good, nothing absolutely stunning, but it was fresh and flavorful. My two friends seem to enjoy their selections as well. It was thankfully a pleasant day so we sat outside in the patio and helped ourselves to the watering station outside. Lovely ambience, great vegan food & excellent service! Highly recommend! This might be the only fully vegan cafe (with the option to add eggs in select dishes) in town. We had the Godfather Avocado Toast, Breakfast burrito (w/ rosemary potatoes, tofu scramble, garlic aioli..sans vegan sausage) as well as an Oat Cappuccino. Everything was flavorful. What an oasis in a desert town with so many chain restaurants and spots catered to families in town for sporting competitions. This place is a vibe. Outdoor seating under shaded trees, chill music, plenty of seating inside as well. Customer service was excellent. I got the matcha latte and it was on point, earthy with a hint of sweetness. The avocado toast I opted for was the Buddha toast, tahini, tumeric chickpeas, thinly sliced radishes, on a thick piece of locally baked sourdough. It's all the little details and plated to perfection. I can't turn down an açaí bowl, even when it's called a smoothie bowl. You can build your own, but why when they have a signature bowl with all the good good already. Beautifully presented in perfectly proportioned layers and goodness. I couldn't resist the mini cherry hand pie, that's going on the road home to Salt Lake with me. We'll see if I make it to Cedar City before I eat it. I love Gaia's so much and stop every time I'm in St George. I'll go out of my way to eat here...I'm visiting Cedar City and drove to Gaia's today for lunch. It's healthy, the ingredients are clean, and the nachos are out of this world. I had lunch at 12 and wasn't hungry again until 6, a record for me, haha. The raspberry vanilla matcha iced latte was an exceptional treat too. My only complaint is that they're closing. Argghhh!!!! I'm so sad. April 1 they're done. read more

Complete with both indoor and outdoor seating (dog friendly), it's off the main road in what almost feels like a residential neighborhood. You order and pay at the counter, take a number, go sit somewhere, and they will bring your food to you. Be patient if you order a tea; they let it steep before bringing it to you I had the breakfast burrito, which was a healthy and delicious choice I love the casual and comfortable atmosphere of this place, along with its bopping music; much better than a crowded diner where you feel rushed. Nice patio but I don't understand how people are sitting outside when it's 100 F. In any case--fresh and tasty avocado toast and matcha. Produce was excellent quality, I'm rating 4* rather than 5* because the bread itself was nothing special, a bit too "white bread loaf" for my taste (despite being sourdough according to the menu). "Pisces" matcha was tasty with a clear raspberry flavor, but I found the sweetness to overwhelm the matcha a bit. read more

My wife and I had a deal and I was able to pick anywhere I wanted to go for lunch. She typically prefers familiar places that serve comfort food-like chicken strips and fries. But I like to try new things and this looked good, so I picked it. After all, a deal's a deal! It wasn't until we were walking in that I confessed to her that it was a vegan restaurant. She wasn't happy with me, but went along graciously. We saw a full patio with people enjoying live musical performances and then hopped in line to order some food. The patio was our preference but we opted to eat inside since there were no seats open outside. The wait was a bit longer than anticipated, but the staff were working hard and doing their best to keep up with everyone. We ordered chips and pico along with a hummus board. Everything we ate was delicious and we had far more food than the two of us alone could eat. One other really cool thing at Gaia's Garden Café is the community journal. I found the journal in a basket with other books and read the comments that other guests had written-and even added a short entry of my own. Super cool to be able to connect with other people who enjoy this space like I did. read more

Passing through St George Utah needing a brunch. This place was perfect. They have a nice plant based menu with bowls as well burritos. We both went for the breakfast burritos. They are not completely plant based but have multiple plant based items to choose from. Amazing flavor profile from the seitan to the potatoes to the tofu they curry in house and served with fresh pico salsa. We topped things off by splitting a blueberry lemon loaf. OMG. I could eat that everyday. Hubby isn't a person to eat sweets and ate half of it. He had a delicious matcha to go with his meal and I settled on a refreshing iced tea. The prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly. It isn't too far off the 15 when driving through town. The vibe is a blend of hippie meets new age meets queer meets plant based. We stopped in on our way to SLC. Had no idea it was Vegan until we sat down after ordering and got our food. We found it by looking at the awesome reviews and wanted to try it. Glad we did. My daughter ordered the Acai Bowl and I ordered the BLT with a side salad. My daughters bowl was large with lots of fresh fruit. My sandwich had great taste, but that's when I realized it wasn't bacon. Still was a filling, tasty sandwich. They didn't have sodas, so we stuck with water. Good food and great service. Stopped here on my way to Zion. I'm vegetarian and saw this place is vegan with great reviews and decided to give it a try. The cashier was very helpful with recommendations and answering any questions I had. I ordered a coffee with the biscuits and gravy. My friend had a grain bowl with the avocado toast. I ordered soy with my coffee and some vanilla flavoring. It was made perfectly where I didn't have to sweeten it. We both really enjoyed our food and I felt the portions were just right where I wouldn't be overly full but just satisfied. They have indoor and outdoor seating but it seems more people sat indoors since it was a little cool outside. I'm sure everything else on their menu is tasty and there were many other choices that were tempting, but my girlfriend and I ended up splitting a full size nacho plate and we loved it. It's hard to mess up nachos, but it's also hard to make them stand out and we both felt like these were pretty top notch. The full size plate is enough for a 3 people if no one is particularly hungry, but we were both ready to eat and it ended up being perfect for the two of us. We didn't order anything else though, so don't be scared of the half size if you plan to order something else as well. The full size is definitely too much for one person (this isn't a challenge). Other than the nachos this was a cute little cafe and we both loved the interior design, art, and mural. My wife and I stopped here for lunch after a long drive to St George for shopping. For us, it was a perfect choice. Easy to locate and park, on a not-very-busy side street. We had our hound dog with us and he was welcome to stay with us on the outdoor patio. The patio was perfect - quiet, plenty of tables. We especially liked that the patio is large with plenty of spacing, so our dog wasn't pestering others for snacks. Plenty of sturdy objects to fasten his leash on. There were even several dog water bowls there. Very very pleasant with hardly any traffic passing by. We ordered the Buddha rice bowl (garbanzos, brown rice, lots of excellent fresh leaf vegetables) and the Southwest rice bowl (black beans, corn, brown rice, leaf vegetables and more). Both great. Delicious sauce on both. Big servings. Fast service. Very reasonable prices. We both loved it. We don't go to St George very often but this will definitely be our go-to meal spot on future visits. We both really loved it. And I think Bailey the Hound did, too. There were plenty of dog loving patrons there - a very mellow and nice group of fellow diners. I really wanted to like this place better. After all, its menu looked really good and had what I needed as far as gluten-free and vegan items. And the ambience was really cool with a nice patio for outdoor dining. My wife chose one of the salad and rice bowls while I went with an acai bowl. Her order was done before I had finished paying, so that was a good sign. However, mine was not brought to the table until she was halfway done eating. And she's not a fast eater, nor was the restaurant busy. The portions were small, given the price. I had to get something else to eat back at the hotel to complete my lunch. Still, the food was good quality and fresh for the most part. (The blueberries in the acai were frozen.) The staff was very pleasant, which earns the cafe a full star. Wow!!! What a cute little hidden gem. I am so happy we stopped here. My boyfriend and I were traveling and I was craving a matcha and found this place! First off. Vibe and decor are on point. Sooo cute. A decent amount of outside seating and seating inside as well. Obviously I loved the crystals and candles. The people working were so sweet. Gosh I could have stayed here all day. A complete 5 star cafe, in my opinion. From the friendly staff to the clean, open space - I felt welcomed and comfortable during my meal. As a road warrior, I ordered a LOT of food: tomato basil soup, the Mediterranean bowl, and an oat milk matcha "lovers" latte. I honestly think I could TASTE the love in each bite. I meandered over to the couch next to the "community journals," and realized I HAD tasted love in each bite. The journals are filled with positive, vulnerable messages from strangers to strangers. This warms my heart and gives me hope for humanity. My only concern was the disposable plastic flatware. Please, Giaia, offer compostable or reusable options. read more
