I did really like my breakfast here. But NOTE this place is no longer a bakery, just hot food/entrees - the bakery counter is bare and the lady at the counter said the owner is thinking about maybe doing something with it. I ordered the Desayuno breakfast - which includes 2 eggs, plantains (!!), some donita cheese, refried beans and some spiced crema. It was pretty authentic and really hit the spot. The plantains were fantastic. And the homemade tortillas were very thick and perfection dipped into all the eggs and beans. Welp this was going to be lower than three but they did give us our money back and we ended up getting our food and an apology which raised this score. Ordered 4 papusas, 3 chicken and one shrimp. Got 4 chicken but we didn't ask to have it fixed because we waited a full hour before we got our food with no explanation. I later learned it was because they forgot our order. The food was actually pretty good but the experience wasn't worth wanting to go back. I appreciate that they tried to right the wrong in the end though. No one should wait an hour for fast food especially with zero explanation and watching others that came in after up get food before you. read more

One of my favorite places to eat!! Very clean and love their comfy ambiance.... Their bean dip with chips is absolutely delicious! And that green salsa.... just the right amount of kick.... when I couldn't decide which Agua Fresca to choose, Katty Carreño gave me samples and my favorite is this delightfully refreshing "juice" (mango, apple, pineapple and lettuce! Grabbed take out from this place. The indoor dining was decently spaced out. Staff members were not wearing masks. In terms of food... These people know what they are doing with their tacos! The shrimp tacos were amazingly filled with so much shrimp and tasted amazing. Pick de gallo was also on point. We tried their little bit of everything platter from their all day brunch menu. Thought it was ok. The grilled pastrami was very tough to eat. The waffles were ehhh... it was the first time we had pupusas so we were not sure what it should have tasted like. The bread itself was great, and you could definitely taste the cheese. But we ordered like chicken with cheese, pork with cheese, etc. But none of them we could taste the meat. We ventured out to the spot this weekend and it's quite the gem if you're a fan of pupusas. I tried the cheese and pork pupusa and the cheese and chicken pupusa. I liked the pork the best, very flavorful and would get it again! The chicken was good not as good as the pork though. We also ordered the gigantic nachos for our group of 8 and it has delicious guacamole and the yummiest chipotle sauce on it. We wish they served extra chipotle sauce on the side. We were on our way out of St George when we decided to grab some coffee and a light breakfast before hitting the road. Since it was a Sunday, our choices were limited...Fortunately, Tia's was open! We had the pleasure to meet the owners and hear their beautiful story. They were very friendly, very attentive, and a pleasure to be around. The food was AMAZING. We went in for a light breakfast but left feeling very full because couldn't resist ordering more than one item! The papusas are made to order and taste phenomenal. The Cubano was full of flavor and very filling. The pastries were fresh and well-baked. The Nutella waffle was exquisite--great waffle flavor and texture, the perfect amount of Nutella, and a big dollop of whipped cream and fruit on the side. PLEASE support this business. They're a well-deserving establishment who have worked incredibly hard to make their business successful. They're doing everything they can to survive through the Covid/2020 limitations. It's the perfect hole in the wall for Peruvian food. I had been craving pupusas since I moved to St. George and randomly found this gem by the UPS store. They have a great Taco Tuesday special and where have you ever had a smoked salmon taco?! I HAD to try those out too. They were so delicious that I didn't get a chance to take a picture. There was a screen by the front door, and they had some very inappropriate program on with with inappropriate images very racey sexual content. Heres a place thats got yummy food but might be hurting themselves by not having timely service. Let me first commend them for a robust selection of food from Latin America. Bravo! But when we had to wait a hour for our food and then an additional 20 minutes for an item (the yucca) that they neglected to cook...well, it was a long time to wait to eat. We chalked it up to issues in the kitchen, most likely not enough people in the kitchen . Speaking of chalk, when ordering one item we were told that the price had gone up. Since their menu was on a chalk board this might have been easily updated. My suggestion would be to come on off hours or order and puck up to avoid the terrible wait times. My friends and I wanted to go out to eat. They aren't vegan, but we were looking for more vegan-friendly options for me and this place looked awesome. We were greeted warmly by Michelle, who was incredibly helpful and so friendly. She patiently answered all our questions and beautifully explained everything. She was such a delight to talk to. We all ordered pupusas, and although none of us had eaten them before, I thought it was really sweet that she asked us if we had eaten them before and then explained how to eat them since we didn't know. When I wasn't sure what to order, she was super helpful both in her explanations and suggestions. Michelle was AMAZING and definitely contributed to the experience being fantastic. I ordered the vegan chicken nachos, zucchini pupusa, and a vegan meat taco. Everything was incredible. I love that this place offers so many vegan options, and they are all wonderful! It's pretty rare for a place to offer meat or cheese substitutes in their vegetarian option. Personally I really loved the vegan chicken and the way they cooked it. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table, impressively quickly might I add. We shared the chikin nachos, he had the jalapeno and spinach pupusas, and I had the pork, chicken, and zucchini pupusas. The nachos were loaded and crispy, and I really liked the plant based chicken and the vegan cheese sauce. Fantastic sister-owned restaurant! You can feel the familial love when you walk in, and more importantly, when you eat their food! My fiancé tried this before me, raved about it and told me I MUST try it on our way back to Utah. Of course, I've never said no to a papusa! What I especially love about this place is that it is family-run. The owners' sons were the ones we spoke to most as one of them (around 10/12?) took our order and the other (17/18?) was able to educate me aaall about the bakery goods. They were so freakin' adorable because of how enthusiastic and genuine they were. They had good reason to be so stoked on their booming restaurant because they got the goods to back it up. For drinks, we ordered Horchata. They offer two types -- Mexican (the type I'm familiar with) and Salvadoran (the one I ordered). The Salvadoran has a different ingredient in place of cinnamon, and it was oh-so-yummy. They let us try a sample before getting a full cup. The other drink we got was filled with fresh fruit like apple. SO refreshing and delicious. I wish I had this on tap. For food, we ordered the California Toast which was good quality eggs and avo. Fresh and highlighted the simplicity of each ingredient, rather than smothering in sauce and spices. The little salad that comes with it was totally devoured by me... fiancé didn't even have a chance. We got a couple papusas -- pork and cheese, and cheese and jalapeno. I really dug the tangy dipping sauce along with the crunchy slaw in each bite. We also got a couple salmon tacos (EXCELLENT) and a shrimp taco to share. Very good flavor, but I didn't know it was going to be bay shrimp. Not my fave type of shrimp (maybe it's just because they're so small), but that's just a preference. I'm not a sweets person, but I was so sold on trying a couple things after talking to eldest of the owners' sons. We took home the Churro Cheesecake and I believe a cheese croissant. Had to try it when almost all reviews were 5 stars to see if it lived up to the hype! It definitely did! Everything was so tasty! The bread and and potato bites that came with the omelette were incredible. And I want to try another papusa after the one I had! I didn't prefer the slaw that came with the papusa because it is cold and I just wanted the papusa plain and while it was hot! Wasn't crowded at all when I feel like a lot of other places in the area are in the weekend in st. George for breakfast. Tables were spaced out because of the pandemic. Wow the food here is amazing! I wasn't sure what to expect walking in. I ordered waffles and a pork, bean and a cheese pupusa. My husband ordered a south of the border omelet. Needed to grab breakfast as we drive from Zion to Vegas but didn't want to stop at a chain along the way. Tia's wasn't exactly conveniently located off the highway but after reading that this place is owned and operated by three sisters and opened only one month before the COVID-19 lockdown, we decided to come here....so worth it! Michele was the one working when we arrived. She's very friendly and helpful, and she offered some great suggestions when we couldn't make up our minds. My husband and I shared the breakfast platter which included eggs, fresh baked bread, black beans, sliced avocado, little rolls stuffed with yummy goodness, pupusas, and either pancakes or waffles. You also have your choice of bacon or grilled pastrami. We had never had grilled pastrami before and have decided to start making this at home... It's so delicious... I could have eaten an entire plate of it. My favorite pupusa was the cheese and spinach, dipped in the red sauce that came with the platter. My only regret is that my stomach couldn't stretch enough to eat some of the incredibly delicious looking fresh pastries offered in the bakery cooler. If I ever return to Utah, this will be my first stop! If you are local, consider yourself blessed to have a spot like this. One of the best experiences we've had in a long time. We love everything about Tias. I went here looking for a quick cup of coffee, saw the menu and decided to come back for dinner with the family. The food and the experience were so different and so good. The lady at the counter is so great. Just ask her what to order and listen to the passion she has for this restaurant. We came in for breakfast the same week and she was dancing when we came in. The food is a mix of cultures: El Salvadoran, Mexican, French, American. So good. For dinner, I think the papusas were our favorite. The street tacos were amazing too. Took some pastries home that we're great. Breakfast was where Tias really shone for us. We noticed their breakfast menu on the way out and knew we had to come back. I split the "platter" with two of my pre-teen boys. Was amazing and just the right amount. My wife got the California Toast. So good. My youngest got an omelet that was perfect. We couldn't believe that just about everything we tried - right down to the sauces and bread - was about the best we'd ever tasted. It's so obvious that these ladies love what they do yet they might not understand just how great their restaurant is. It should be better known. It should have long lines outside. They could charge higher prices. It should be a stop for everyone. My only recommendation to them would be to consider a rebrand. The name "Tias" is great, and the logo looks professional... but it doesn't represent what the restaurant is. (Lucky I happened to stop by looking for coffee.) Our new favorite place! I don't usually write reviews but this time I had to! First of all the food is amazing! We loved every single plate we've had there, including the vegan food, it's so tasty! Every vegan would agree that it's hard to find delicious vegan food, but this is not the case here! We try to eat only organic and I can definitely tell that their food is very high quality. It's hard to find this in restaurants these days, so we really appreciate it. We love the fact that they have all these tasty vegan options as well as all the meals for meat lovers. This way we can both enjoy our food without one of us having to compromise every time we want to have a date out. My husband (who loves everything with meat) absolutely loves all the meals he has ordered so far and he is very picky. He is especially in love with all the authentic recipes from Mexico and El Salvador. We also love all the yummy pastries that we've tried so far. The staff is always so nice and helpful. We usually don't have to wait much for our food to come out, but if it happened to be a rush hour and the restaurant is slammed, then we understand if we have to wait a few extra minutes.
