It is many years later and I can honestly say she ruined our wedding. I have zero pictures of the…read morering bearer , many guests and family members who escorted people in church. We had to pay to retake our photos at Holy Name and the Drake. She claimed the church told her she couldn't take pictures. They said it wasn't true. I had special monogrammed desserts at our rehearsal dinner and we got zero pictures of the monograms. Many of my friends had videos or images where she was just standing around. It's honestly very sad because it was the most important day of our lives. She refused to refund us and then was mad so didn't give us a wedding album. We did, however, like how our wedding video. Before the photo session, Maija made several great recommendations of the locations based on the types of looks I'm looking for. During the photo session, she suggested different things we can do and made our 13mo giggles a lot, despite the fact he wasn't feeling great since that morning. After the photo session, she quickly put together a preview gallery for us to look at. Another plus is the fee structure she has. It was broken into two parts - a session fee and image & print package. I really like the idea that I can choose the amount of prints after I see the preview gallery. If anyone knows me - I am extremely particular in who I work with and the type of product I want (only the best) since you are spending hundreds and literally thousands of dollars so you want to make sure the end product is what you pay for! Usually, it is customary for the Korean's 1st Bday to have great photos! These are memories that will last a lifetime and you want a great photographer to work with! So this is an investment we were worth spending some money on. Moving to Chicago I was bit nervous working with a new photographer since I am very particular and want someone that will capture the right moments! In fact it's very hard! We wanted someone who understood our needs and the design element ideas that would capture that perfect moment! Luckily after 7 calls with various different photographers around the Chicago land area we were glad we found Studio Soo Chicago Baby! He was the only a few who actually responded timely, flexible with scheduling and accommodating! Soo does an amazing job with trying to get shots that we are looking for - see below some of his fabulous work! We also went with their photo booth at the Birthday party since Soo was very accommodating and upgrading things we didn't even think we wanted! While the overall cost was a bit more than what we wanted to spend I look at these things as an investment! Overall, if you are looking for great baby photographer -Chicago Baby is the best in Chicago! If you are looking at photographers who can create and take amazing shots- Chicago baby is the best around here! She helped us get the tables set up and ensured the space was ready on the day of as well. There was plenty of space and seating, including the ability for us to all sit for dinner at the same time. The big windows at the front were great and allowed a lot of light in, and I loved the little rooms that we used as a bar / storage area. The kitchen was well stocked and though we brought in most of the stuff we needed, it was great to have backup serving utensils and dishes. Pretty much anything you would need to cook, serve, or clean was available for use. I would definitely recommend this event space, especially if you are expecting 20-50 people.
