They graciously agreed to fit us in at the end of their day. Dr. Spruill evaluated our daughter and was glad we brought her in immediately. Though we had initially been told any procedure may have to wait, he stayed well beyond closing to make sure she received the surgery she needed. He and the assistant made sure she was comfortable throughout and called back today to check on how she was feeling. They communicated easily with my husband and I, ensuring we understood what was being done as well as follow-up precautions needing to be taken. We absolutely love this practice and I have frequently recommended them to friends and family! It is clear that they truly care about their patients.

I will never return to this practice. My 8 year old was having some crowns placed over fillings that were previously done wrong at the Edinburg konikoff practice. She was very passive when he expressed pain and showed no concern or compassion when an 8 year old sat crying in her chair. When he expressed discomfort and said he could feel the pain in his teeth she spoke to him in an angry tone and threatened "do I need to leave the room so your mother can do some parenting". As a RN, I have never witnessed such poor bedside manner in a pediatric setting. Would not recommend scarring your child's dental experience with such a lack of empathy from a so called pediatric dentist practice. When I spoke with the office manager and expressed how upsetting the experience was she was uninterested and then did me the favor of calling me back to cancel any future appointments with the office because Dr. Hubbard thought it was best to refer him elsewhere.

Dr Hasty let us go to a different office so he could use the laser and numb the area without the use of nitrous oxide. I do not do flouride and they have never made me feel bad about it. I prefer a more cautious and natural approach to things and Dr. Hasty has been great to work with. Everyone there is a pleasure to work with from the office staff to the hygienists who clean the teeth. I highly recommend this office and will continue to bring my kids here.

When I schedule with them, they're ALWAYS accurate and 100% sure ... I have to juggle appointments for three kids (plus myself) and I get super frustrated when an office is constantly canceling or rescheduling appointments on me. This NOT an issue with Vacendak Dentistry... if they schedule us, that is when we will see them! As an extra bonus - they always run on time!! Love it. When it comes to payment, they're ALWAYS up front with us about what the cost is before they do any work (barring anything unexpected, of course), providing a written estimate before they even go back. We have Tricare and our Dental recently changed VERY MUCH for the worse... they have been wonderful about maximizing our coverage and making sure we understand the costs of appointments and procedures before starting. I see Dr Dan, and he diagnosed my TMJ, suggesting we try a mouth guard as a potentially simple and less expensive solution before I spend a ton on orthodontics. The custom mouth guard (which was affordable for us) has helped a lot, relieving my jaw pain from clenching at night and I wear it during the day while working to prevent my jaw from locking. We are grateful to have finally found a wonderful dental office here in Hampton Roads that is so close to our home and cares so very much for each of their patients.
