I went here with my teen son on a nice Saturday afternoon before lunchtime. It was quite in the shop. Meanimg, I could not tell at all who worked in this store, and so i assume the other 2 people saw were shoppers. No one greeted us the entire 20 minutes we were there. Eventually, I saw a female sitting and "working" the register. Shebstill didnt say anything to anyone. This after almost 15 minutes browsing the store. Small business, smaller customer service appeal. I'm glad that I didn't spend my hard earned money here. read more

There is an old man always working there. He has that Souther way of asking if you need anything but in a Get Out sort of way. He had a sale bin with no prices. When I asked for a price, he looked it up online and was asking for more than the new item costs. I showed him the new item priced in his store and its price, and he forcefully lowered the price by cents. He once followed me out of his store into a different store for what reason I don't know. I like comics and toys but hate bad service from the old man. It sucks this is one of the few comic bookstores in the area, but the old man has got to go. read more

They have actions figures that's hard to come by unless you look online and if there is something you want they will do their best to accommodate you. I absolutely love this place!!! It is probably the best comic book store I had ever been to. It is located in Downtown Lawrenceville with all the local shops great for walking around and visiting into the different stores Galactic Quest has a large sign very welcoming with local artist in comic books all around the windows. The inside is amazing a comic book Heaven. The owner Kyle, is also an author and creator of the series Hero Cats. My daughter was able to buy her first comic of hero cat and the owner was so kind of sign it for her. Where else can you go and actually get the Creator and author of the book comic book to sign your book and give you all the ins and outs of the comics itself. Kyle the owner is phenomenal he gave us a tour of the whole comic book store show does each section and explain to us in detail the differences of the comics. Another great thing I really enjoyed about the comic book store is they have a huge section for children so you know you're getting Comics that aren't bad or a little too grown up for them and it has a variety of things for both boys and girls. Towards the back of the comic book store they have a great room with doors where you can play card games like magic Dungeons and Dragons and so forth which was really cool because I think that brings a lot of kids together the community and helps them stay together and do something other than Electronics. Speaking of electronics, the owner even showed us a huge section of board games these are board games that are completely different than what you would find in major retail chains and I thought it was great because he mentioned take a day away from electronics and sit down with your family and play board games. Very excited to go back and see what types of selections they have and pick one of these board games. Across from the board games you'll find a large section of half off comics. I'm talking times of comic books that are half off not just a few selections but enough to where you can grab tons of them if you're just getting started good Comics as well. He even has a section of 50 Cent comics which were old Comics but really good for collecting and just having if you want to get involved. Lastly my favorite thing about the comic book store is that he has these events were he gives away tons of free comic books. MOMMA GOT CHECKED!! BOO-YA My husband and I were perusing the shelves when we heard a mother and her son entering the store. She was telling him "now don't touch anything". The employee looked from behind the counter and said something like "Come on in, it's a comic book store. You can touch everything! Priceless! I couldn't see his face from where I was standing, but I bet that kid was beaming! I clearly see why Sheldon and the guys hang out in the comic bookstore. It is such an engaging environment because everywhere you look, there is something interesting. There are tons of books, cool (You won't see these at Target), games and even action figures. We were just overwhelmed and didn't know where to look first. During this visit, we just did a cursory view in an effort to try and get the lay of the land. We will definitely come back later when we are able to spend more time exploring the inventory and can actually purchase something. These are the types of really cool businesses that you really want to support because they are rare and hold great memories for those who grew up with these stores as part of their neighborhood landscape. I can not speak highly enough about this store. The selection, the staff, and the overall atmosphere of this store are all far superior to any store I've been to. Whether you're a seasoned collector or a novice, when you're talking to a (very friendly) staff member, YOU are the priority. They are more than happy to give recommendations, either for yourself or for a youngster, they will ask questions and show different titles to help you find the right book. Toys and collectibles? You will loose your mind! They have Pop! And action figures from every conceivable genre. It's unbelievable. Board games and card games? They have more games available than I knew even existed. There's even a room where you can get together with your friends and play. Whatever color your "Geek Flag" is, you can find what you're looking for here. If you can't find it, they'll help you. Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. I was walking around downtown lawrenceville when I came across the store and went in out of curiosity. I had never owned a comic book or even read one previously. The owner was more than happy to introduce me to the world of comics and the history behind it and it was an incredible experience. My son discovered that there is a new card game out, Star Wars Destiny...We called around the Gwinnett County and found Galactic Quest had both the starter sets as well as booster packs. They actually held them for us as I lived a distance from Lawrenceville and couldn't get there til the weekend. We were able to get our starter set as well as some booster packs and are now enjoying Star Wars Destiny Kudos to the staff at Galactic Quest for their helpfulness, willingness to hold items for us and just being friendly and answering all our questions. We have since discovered that there is another series of booster packs not in stock but ordered. And due to the store in mid June. Really appreciate Galactic Quest and their staff's helpfulness and just being kind. Too many people in the retail market blow kids off as well as adults when they don't have knowledge of the merchandise. Galactic Quest certainly is one of the top comic and gaming shops in Greater Atlanta, if not the best in Gwinnett County! read more

There are worlds of adventure awaiting everyone, kids and adults, inside Galactic Quest. They have new stuff, old stuff. Marvelous toys, games and statues. An original line of comics that come from within the very walls of the place. Comic book nerds and pop aficionados of all stripes, rejoice! Customer service? I've not been to a comic store that has such friendly help. I bought a piece of Superman original art for my kid off of eBay some years ago. My son was a big Superman fan at the time. I had it framed and hung on his wall, and forgot about it for five years. Well, my son now prefers the Marvel Comics line (smart kid), so it was time to unload the art! The frame covered up just who drew the art, so I called up my pals at Galactic Quest. A few regular employees formed a network of comic fans and sent around my phone pictures of the art, which got me on the way to discovering who did the art without having to tear up the expensively framed piece. Who does that nowadays? Galactic Quest is truly a wonderful place to kick back for awhile and make a few unrushed selections. Great atmosphere, and obviously helpful employees. read more
